May 21, 2013In testlab we use pim-sm with bootstrap router on sup7 with IOS-XE 03.04.00.SG. Any possibility to prevent non authorized rp from connecting to the candidate bootstrap routers? We found several security recommendations concerning limiting registering of sources at the rp, rate-limits etc, but no possibility to control rp connecting to the bsr.

Mar 14, 2013i was able to configure (via SF200 web interface) a port mapping from port FE17 to FE7.i have supressed this port mapping.
when i try to reconfigure a port mapping from port FE17 to FE3. The SF200 web interface crash. the SF200 seems to reboot.
i have updated the SF200 firmware from V1.1.2.0 to V1.1.2.9.44.when i was able to configure (via SF200 web interface) a port mapping from port FE17 to FE7.But after having suppressed this port mapping again, i was not able to reconfigure a new port mapping from port FE1 to FE3 (the SF200 hangs).
Cisco Switches :: Getting DHCP Relay To Function Properly On SG300-20 Switch
Dec 5, 2012I am having some issues with getting DHCP Relay to fuction properly over our SG300-20 Switch.Out current layout is as follows. Hanging off the SG300-20 are a pair of Clustered Checkpoint Gateways with VLAN'ed interfaces in Both of our 2 VLANs, a 3COM 4200G In VLAN1 which has the DHCP server (And all the other Servers) connected to it, and a Pair of HP Procurve 2520's Stacked in VLAN 2 to provide PoE for our Phones/connectivity for our PCs.The problem is I cannot get the DHCP Relay to fuction from VLAN 1 to VLAN 2. If I assign an address in VLAN 2 manually to a device connected to the Procurves, everything works fine. I am able to reach both VLAN 1 and VLAN 2, but DHCP aquisition fails even if the device is connected directly to a port assigned to VLAN 2 on the SG300. The SG300 is running at Layer 3 currently also.

I have just installed Windows 7 on my Dell Inspiron 9400. Running truemobile 355 bluetooth driver. When I ran Windows XP and wanted to listen through the bluetooth unit the "switching" went automaticaly.

Oct 21, 2012I am trying to configure a Cisco SPA8000 to function as a SIP ATA behind a RV220W router. I cannot seem to get port forwarding working or otherwise allow the SIP traffic to the SPA8000. When I replace the RV220W with another router / firewall everything works fine, but when I put in the RV220W I am not able to register etc. I have been over and over the manual and "yes" I have the SIP ALG enabled. Here is my setup:
Internet => RV220W (public) => SPA8000 (private)

Jul 27, 2012I have the task of replicating the router config on a 3825 router on a 3750 switch. Reason is we are taking out the router and replacing it with the switch to make use of the router for other functions.
Below is main part of the router config:

The 3750 switch I have runs C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M, Version 12.2(55)SE3 on a LAN BASE license.
The first thing I have done is to order for a license upgrade to IP BASE which would give the support for OSPF routing.I do not see much of an issue with the Interface configs, however, I am not too sure about replicating the routing config on the switch.
My question is can I run the commands as shown for the OSPF routing on the switch? If not, can I get suggestions on how best to set this up on the switch?

When I attempt to enter any sort of IP addresses,default Belkins and ones I see when viewing ipconfig, all it does is perform a Google Search with the numbers.Again, turning on wireless on my laptop and phone fail to find my router, which used to just be called "Belkin".Here is all the info that I believe you need:

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Any Function Built In Nexus 5010 To Detect Intermittent Link Down
Nov 23, 2011I found intermittent link down(20~40 seconds average) occurred about 1~10 times every month. SAP reported a lot of active connections are disconnected and I used a batch to ping and found "requested time out" about 30 seconds.And Windows, SQL server, Nexus 5010 do not show any errors. We run cluster and cluster does not fail over.And I don't know which cables or nics cause this issue. When it happened, almost all servers are unreachable. For example, SQL server 1 -> SQL server 2, IBM HS22-1 -> SQL server 1. However, some connections are not dropped sometimes. It varies each time.PS: I run this topology last year without any problems but it started intermittent link down from 2011/1/7. Because there is no errors in Nexus 5010, it is difficult to troubleshoot. Cisco TAC recommended us to implement virtual port channel yesterday. Could I use "errdisable detect cause" to detect what caused the intermittent link down? Is there any error logs or switch parameters/status can use to troubleshoot?

Machine A | Machine B (Win 2008 R2) | Machine C
Start: 192.168.5.9 > 192.168.5.5 (NIC 1) - 10.14.137.130 (NIC 2) > 10.14.137.128So the question is how do i get traffic from Machine A to Machine C. I've tried various 'Route ADD' cmds but no luck so far. So was hoping someone out there could shed some light for me?Machine B is a AD/DNS and can talk to the entire 10.14.137.x range but has no forwarders set up in DNS. And does not act as a AD/DNS server for the 10.14.137.x range. It fills these roles only for the 192.1668.5.x range.

Mar 5, 2013I have 2 PE routers connected to each other via 2960S and 3750 (non-metro) switches:
[PE1] -- [2960S] -- [3750] -- [2960S] -- [PE2]
I will be sending voice and data traffic between the two and my voice traffic will be marked DSCP EF & EXP 5.
Since the 2960's and 3750's can't match on the EXP bits, I am wondering if the "mls qos trust dscp" command still works. Is the 2960/3750 able to match on DSCP even though there's an MPLS header on top of the IP packet?
I'd like to avoid having to tag my VLAN traffic on the PE and rely on COS to achieve QoS in this case.

I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.

May 24, 2012For my work I am looking to create wireless capabilities to remote locations. To do this we are using a standard modem/router that is connected to an Engenius (802.11b/g) wireless outdoor radio connected to a dish antenna. We are able to go to locations (3+km) and then with a corresponding receiving antenna (using LoS), receive the Internet and connect both to computers at the transmitting point as well as to the WWW. The problem exists is that we want to employ a series of routers at the receiving end that would be able to carry the transmission to a different location (relatively close), due to the fact that some of the locations do not have line of sight to the antennas. We are using Encore routers, model # ENHWI-N3. When we connect the radio's Ethernet into the routers WAN reciever, we can connect to the Internet with a computer. The problem exists is we want to pass that connection over to a second router (R2). This connection is done when the routers are on access points set to a WDS function with R1 having R2's mac address and vice versa. Both routers are set to channel 1. Even when the routers are seperated by distances >50m a computer plugged into R2 can see a computer plugged into R1. Files can be transferred between the 2 computers wirelessly at speed around 3 mbps. However computer 2 on R2 can not connect to the WWW. This router features a spot that lights up if it has Internet access and R1's is lit up but R2's is not. How do we transfer the Internet and not just a LAN from R1 to R2 so it can be accessed further away from the point of the radio and antenna equipment. This setup has also been used where R2 is hardwired to R3. At R3 we change the channel to 11, and then connect through that with mac addresses wirelessly to 4th router. If comp is in R4 and far away it can still access and file share from comp at R1.*edit the ip address for the routers exist all on 192.168.1.xxx If the 3rd number is different between routers would this make a difference?

Mar 8, 2011How do i connect two internet routers to one IP address range?I currently have one broadband router connected on 172.16.0.3 subnet 255.255.0.0, I have a second line which is a copper ethernet EFM 2Mb line connected using a Cisco 1800 router configured on 172.16.0.254 subnet 255.255.255.0, no DHCP is configured on either router. the dhcp is provided by a windows 2003 server on our LAN which is also configured on the same LAN IP range. if i connect the Cisco router into the same switch as the broadband router my network devices stop working and dont respond.
If i check the broadband router it shows all the connections to it as having the same MAC address as the Cisco router?? if i disconnect the Cisco router everything returns back to normal and works perfectly.What I want to achieve is to be able to run both routers on the same LAN to provide internet access by configuring the pc's to route through a specific router. the DHCP I want to stay routed through my original broadband line. at the same time i want all pc's to access to the lan devices (ie. servers and printers) what the correct configuration would be for the two internet routers would be?
