I understand 80 could be blocked by the ISP. Can 8080 also be the same case?

I follow the steps from Setting a Static IP Address in Windows 7 - PortForward.com but from step 4 where i have to access my router in my browser,i write my ip which is: 10.0.0.4 according to cmd, and i just get a "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 10.0.0.4" message.I have attached a picture showing info from my cmd. It's in danish but i don't think that should be a problem.

Nov 14, 2011I am having a NAT issue with my two xboxes. The router is an e1000 v2.1 firmware 2.1.02. One xbox is wired into the router and the other has a wireless adapter. The wireless xbox gets open nat automatically, while the wired one's nat is strict. If i mess with DMZ and turn UPnP off i can get the wired to be open but the wireless one to be strict. Also port forwarding does not seem to work because only one or the other xboxes will get an open NAT. I do have the the correct ports in the port triggering section set to on but that does not seem like it works.

Every game i have somehow manages to open the UDP ports it needs without me having to configure my router. Yet when i check to see if those ports are open (prior to starting the programs) they always come back as blocked or closed. Now I'm currently working on a UDP Internet program and need to know how to do the same thing - open ports on a router without having to make the customer configure their routers. I'm THINKING that other programs start with a TCP/IP connection on the desired port and that opens the UDP port. Is this the answer or is there another method used?

Jan 17, 2012I have a RV042 Dual Wan. Two internets balanced wow! who would've thought that the headaches were waiting patiently right down the corner.
I was working with a 2wire Gateway that came with my ISP. I was able to open the ports in order to have public access for my students and teachers to upload their work. All I had to do was to allow my server ip address to have access to different ports blocked by the ISP. I used [URL]
I bought the RV042 for various reasons like excellent content blocking, load balancing, quick vpn, among other. But I just can't open the port 80 while having having my two ISP connected with load balancing, not even while having only one modem connected.
I have resolved many issues using the protocol binding. I have tried everthing. I just don't undertand something.
Whenever I connect my server to my old router, "www.canyouseeme.org" tells me that my port 80 is open. Whenever I connect my servet to the RV042-DW, my port appears closed.
So it's not any OS issues.
I've tried:
- To forward the TCP 80~80 port to my server static ip address... but failed
- To enable UPnP function with the same port... but failed
- To configure the port triggering with the same port.. but failed.
- To disable the firewall.. but failed.
- To use transparent bridge in the WAN1 with my 2wire Gateway... but failed
- To set up an account in DNS.ORG already had one, everythings is in green.. but failed.
- To change the configuration in my old 2Wire Gateway router to allow a DMZ zone so all ports are public... but failed.
- To assign RV042 router ip address in my old 2Wire allowing that specific address to allow certain ports to be public... but failed.

Mar 31, 2012I just bought and setup a RV110W. I noticed while scanning it from the WAN side that it always has port 443 open, even when remote management and VPN access are disabled. Why is this port still open, and how do I close it? Or is this a bug in the firmware? I am using firmware version 1.1.0.9, which is the most up-to-date for this unit. Having open ports allowing unsolicited contact from the WAN side, especially inadvertant ones, is a major security hole.

I have a Zoom 5241 cable modem connected through a Motorola VT2442-VD for Vonage VOIP, then connected through my Netgear RangeMax WPN824v3 wireless router, to my computer. However, I do not understand where to setup the static ips and where to drop DHCP to be able to port forward successfully. I have tried in Vuze to set up acceptable ports 51600 for TCP and UDP, but they continue to get this error: "NAT Error - Connect attempt to 67.60.124.173:51600 (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed." I do know that the Ip present is from my Vonage with my external IP address. I even tried to establish rules for TCP and UDP within AVG Firewall settings for the Vuze program.

I have followed the workaround instructions: so i have created a firewall access rule on incoming port 21 to an internal ip address on the same port. The router has created the forwarding port rule. The problem is this only works with WAN1. Is it even possible to forward ports for connections coming in over WAN2?
