View 1 RepliesEmail: when I try to send an email with an attachment (pictures/other files) it starts sending and stops suddenly at around 50-100% I repeat trying to send it and it works after a while. The larger the file size the harder it is to complete and send. 0.5mb is easy to send but over 1-2mb is very difficult. When it stops I get this error message after a min or so.Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server smtp.googlemail.com timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator.Online: The exact same thing happens on Facebook and other websites uploading gets stuck and times out but does work sometimes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe business i work for uses a "Do it myself" template for their website. (this is through their webhosting company). I can not add FTP to this website, we have to completely redo it with code and whatnot in order to have access to FTP. We would like users to download a template from our website (no problem) and then send us their artwork files back to us. These can be upwards of 150mb. Is there another option that i am not aware of to do this? Can't use email, has a limit of 25mb.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI upload files to the FTP server and some of the folders I didn't have access to, so I had to call the company server tech to allow me permission. He said he never created any restrictions on the account when he made it (Which he probably did, just forgot, because I use another unrelated FTP server with no problems.) So he made a new account for me to log into, at the very moment I typed in the login info (FileZilla) it said could not connect. So I went to input my old login into, still didn't connect. At that point on the whole website for me just results in a "Could Not Load Page blah blah".Doesn't work on any browser. Doesn't work on any computer on my wireless network, or a laptop hardwired to the modem.
Works on my friends connection at his house, works on my iPhone's 3G connection, but not on my wireless network. So basically it works everywhere in the world but my house. Which is great because I work for them and I need to have files uploaded by the end of each day. I have told the server techs and they said they didn't do anything but make a new account. I did all the DNS and IP crap, I refreshed the caches, ran a disk cleaner/ defragger. I get some interesting results when running tracerts and pings. I CAN view the site through a proxy.ALSO, they told me their servers crashed overnight because of some solar flare just a few days ago. So the site WAS down for a few hours, but when it came back online, it wouldn't load for me.
I think its unrelated because I lost access before their servers crashed the following night, just letting you know that happened. My connection is fine, chatted with AT&T they said everything looks fine on my end in the router settings. Which should be correct because I've been years on this router with no problems at all. Everything works flawlessly. (Steam downloads, YouTube, I've been gaming on Portal 2 Co-Op and Battlefield 3, 64 players!) So it's nothing to do with me. I did notice that uploads took a little longer than usual to initiate, but a SpeedTest confirmed the connection was solid and at my level. Just took a few seconds to "start" uploading.
All of a sudden -it worked before for ages- I cannot connect with just one particular Web site via either of my two Win XP and one Win 7 machines hard wired to a common Linksys Router/hub/switch. The message is much the same either via IE or Firefox, e.g. "server not found" I tried a Ping cmd with the same result-not found.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to connect to a particular website for a couple of days now, but always get "Server not found" error messages in Firefox. I have tried connecting on IE and Chrome as well, along with the 2nd computer on my wireless network. No luck there either though. I have been able to connect to any other website just fine. Between the two PCs on my network, I'm running Windows 7 and Windows XP.The website in question is currently up and they have said that no issues have been detected on their end and that it might be a DNS problem on my end.

When I try and access it from the server itself, I get"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst this is my setup, i have a 100x100 mb fiber pipe at a location i am working at. i am comming out of a cisco fiber router to ethernet. i am coming straight from the fiber switch to the computer at a 1gb connection. So my problem is when i try to upload to my ftp server via windows explorer i can never get about 1.5mb, but if i upload via command prompt it goes at about 60mb upload, so the pipe is good. So you say why dont you just use the command prompt, well i have specialized gear here that run xp emmbedded and it does this via the windows explorer. I have tried 4 other computers and they all do the same thing. I tried a UDP video stream and worked at over 10mb stream. but all the ftp uploads cap out at 1.5mb.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy broadband seems to have stopped uploading data. I run broadbandspeedchecker and it shows download of 8 and then upload doesn't work at all and shows 0.I can browse some pages, but don't have full use of all pages like my CMSA admin, can log into my hosting using FTP, but can't access directories, Skype doesn't connect.Even stranger is it all works for a few seconds, even connecting Skype, but then stops again.I have completed a few system restores going back a week before the initial problem and still no joy!
View 7 Replies View RelatedBasically i'm an employee of a Pro-Gaming team, and as a Job I stream games live, as well as upload game videos to youtube. I've been encountering a problem for a month or so now and had little success of fixing it, which is costing me quite a lot of money and viewers! Basically, I use a program called Xsplit to stream to a website called Twitch.tv (no-one else i've spoken to has the problem I have). I will randomly disconnect/reconnect instantaneously which puts my stream down for 5-10 seconds at a time, then goes back up again. Ultimately the viewing experience is ruined by this and I am on the verge of being replaced! The problem can occur either once a week or once every minute.. it just does it whenever it wants. I have 200mb/10mb internet so my upload should in theory not be an issue.
Things I have tried and done so far:
- Replaced the Ethernet Cables.
- Replaced the Routers.
- Bought a Network Card to try as opposed to my Motherboard port.
- Reformatted my computer and installed a different version of Windows 7 multiple times.
- Spoken to Twitch.tv and Xsplit about their programs as well as used multiple versions of the Xsplit client.
- Spoken to my ISP who say everything is fine.

My problem is whenever I upload anything, my modem disconnects. My USB Dongle is a Telstra Ultimate 3G Sierra Wireless AirCard 312U. The problem is not present whenever I connect the dongle directly into the USB port on my LapTop.
I have a DSL connection with AT&T. It is rated at 6Mbps / 768Kbps, but it closer to 4Mbps / 600Kbps. I have a speed stream 5360 connected to the DIR655. Devices on my network are primarily wireless and include; several laptops, a desktop (which is wireless n), a couple phones / Ipods and a Wii that I watch Netflix on.
I do a lot of Photography and a handful of video work, and backup / share everything online. When I am uploading photos, even with "conserve bandwidth" turned on in the uploading application, browsing sites is very slow, but reasonably functional. If I try to upload a video to YouTube, I can barely manage to do anything else the entire time it is uploading. I've tried to plan and run all my uploads overnight, but then Netflix is unusable when I want to watch it at night.
I've tried several different things, first off, with getting the Wii to function for Netflix, I turned on the QOS engine, for the IP that is assigned to it, and set it to priority 1 for all ports. I also have a entry in the QOS engine for SSH on port 23 with a priority of 10 because of how laggy my SSH sessions are. I do not have any other entries in the QOS engine, is that a problem? Should there be entries that cover other services and assign them a lower priority?
I have enable traffic shaping and Automatic uplink speed turned on. It measured the uplink speed at 695kbps, which is pretty accurate. I have Automatic Classification off, and Dynamic Fragmentation on. WISH is enabled also. I'm set to mixed n, g, and b, I'm not positive, but I do think my older laptops only use wireless b.
Even more importantly than the Netflix would be to allow me to use the Internet in a functional manner while I am uploading, that would solve a lot of problems. It seems that the uploads just hog every last bit of upload bandwidth and don't want to make room for even the small requests that one needs to send to view a web page.
I've got an HP Microserver, running server 2008 R2 foundation, and I'm using it for file sharing. All files are in a single folder with subfolders, and located in drive C.
The problem is that the server limits the number of LAN connections to it to 31. I've already changed the max. number of connections to the maximum, but doesn't seem to work. Network discovery and file sharing are on, firewall is off, full access rights for everyone.
The error I get when trying to access the shared folder is: 'Microsoft Windows Network: No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept'
I have set up a filezilla server, and connected to it, and was able to access my files in the main drive (C:/), but at this point the unsolvable problem for me has to do with being able to access multiple drives wirelessly.Filezilla's FAQ says it has to do with aliases, etc, but when I tried this, my main drive dissappeared and I was only able to access the alias drive. All I wanted to do was back my Android's content up to my computer. From what I understand, FTP is a good way to do this. Let me ask you something....is it possible to upload stuff to my computer's ftp server even without being connected to the same wifi network?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have 4 computers that all run new versions of Windows 7. Each have been connected to a Mapped Network Drive and they all connect fine to the network. Dragging files throughout windows works fine. When we try to attach a file from the network in the browser (as in a GMail message) or upload a file with FTP it disconnects us from the network and from the Internet. This only happens with 2 of the 4 computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having difficulty uploading files on the internet because the speeds are so slow. My download speed is 23.88 MBPS, bu upload is .3 mbps. This seems to be a recent problem. The other computers on the network get upload speeds of 5mbps and do not have any problem, so I think there is some problem unique to this computer, and not a network problem. I can't back up my files because the speed is too slow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this idea of using my old computer (which is still pretty awesome) as a back up + production server. What this would entail would be that each person in my house has a dedicated hard drive that auto-syncs folders they've selected for backing up (not Memeo under any circumstances!). Then there will be a hard drive for me to work on web projects on. I'd like this computer to be very secure but if needed, I could show my work on the production drive to my boss.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a domain with a domain controller Server 2003. I have a backup dc running an application with server 2008. The shared folder I am trying to access is on an nt server 2000. We have had a mapped drive "I:" and have used it for years. Our copier also scans to a shared folder on the server 2000 machine. All of the desktop systems are xp sp3 with one W7 machine. A couple of weeks ago when user attempted to access the shared/mapped drive, an error would occur that "the drive was in use and they could not be logged on". Sometimes the error would say "you don't have permission to access the drive." Mind you no settings have been changed on the network. When either of these errors would occur it would occur for everyone but if I rebooted the server everyone could connect again. The same errors would occur the next day or 6 - 8 hour later. Now the error has occured "Drive is already in use and you cannot be logged in" (I have tried drive Z as well the drive is not in use) and restarting the serever no longer works. No one can access the shared drive. I have unmapped the drive on my system and have attempted to reconnect, I enter the path and check reconnect at logon and it asks for a password. I enter the administrator password (which is what I always used) and it just pops right back up asking for a password as if I entered nothing. I can ping the server with the shared folder and even logon remotely so I know it is not a physical disconnect. I am not sure what changed and have followed many suggestions found to no avail. We cannot access the shares or scan.
