I have an application for my client's company. Their clients should post the request from outside thru internet. for that we have bought a Static IP. And now i have to configure that static ip to access the application from outside.what is the procedure for that?
First of all, I want you to know that I do understand that it's not a good design at all, but I still need to implement it.My ACE20 in 6500 works in routed mode with VLAN 101 (10.0.101.0/24) as the client-side VLAN. I therefore have Vlan101 SVI (10.0.101.1/24) on 6500.I also have VLAN 200 (10.0.200.0/24) on 6500 with SVI Vlan200 (10.0.200.1/24) and I want to create a static bidirectional NAT so that clients, connecting to IP address in VLAN 200 (10.0.200.64) would be NATed to VIP (10.0.101.10).Let's say we have clients (10.0.500.0/24) connecting through gig1/0/1.Here is my current setup on 6500.
how a static entry under a "sticky" performs Configuring Static IP Address Sticky Table Entries Cisco Documentation Says When you configure a static entry, the ACE enters it into the sticky table immediately. Configuring the ACE Action on Server Failure failaction purge # The purge keyword specifies that the ACE remove the connections to a real server if that real server in the server farm fails after you enter the command. The ACE sends a reset (RST) to both the client and the server that failed. Cisco Documentation Says If you do not configure this command, the ACE takes no action when a server fails
a) Does the ACE let the connections to SERVER1 timeout(default behaviour) and then load-balance new connections coming in deom 192.168.12.15 to another server in SERVERFARM1
ORb) Does the ACE reset the connections to SERVER1 immediately and starts load-balancing new conenction coming in from 192.168.12.15 to other servers in SERVERFARM1 ?
ORc) Does the ACE just drop the current and new connections from 192.168.12.15 till SERVER1 comes back up ?
OR d) Is it dealt differently?
Question2 - Now what happens if the failed server(SERVER1) comes back up after some time?
e) Does the ACE reset any current connections from 192.168.1.15 and starts sending them to SERVER1 ?
ORf) Does the ACE leave the current connections from 192.168.1.15 to other servers in SERVERFARM1 as they are and send any new connections from 192.168.1.15 to SERVER1?
I cannot remember what I set-up as the static IP for a netgear access point so that I can access it to change a password. Is there a way to figure that out without resetting the access point or typing in every possibility in the browser? It is acting only as an access point and therefore IPCONFIG shows the main router handing out DHCP.
I have configured Static NAT on ASA 8.4; and opened the telnet access through following configuration but it is not working. What mistake I am making in my configuration
I have the same 1921 router that I am trying to install at a facility with a Static IP address and Static DNS information to get on the internet and I cannot get the 1921 to access the internet!
Here is my config:
Building configuration... Current configuration : 4072 bytes ! ! Last configuration change at 09:51:57 Chicago Sun Feb 26 2012 by fbcpekin ! NVRAM config last updated at 09:51:58 Chicago Sun Feb 26 2012 by fbcpekin
I am having a problem getting this to work and I have always done it with 2 Static ip address. but now this company changed to 1 and I am doing something wrong.
I have comcast with 1 static IP, I have a local LAN with 6 host and 1 server that does Mail and remote access and web traffic.
I need a config that allows me to use 1 static ip on the outside interface of the PIX and allow with an ACL 7 ports open to the server and allow all the local host out to the internet.
I am in need of a Static IP alternative (My ISP chooses not to offer the service). I do not need the Static IP to access my own devices. I need to access other networks as a "trusted" user.
I've got an ASA 5510 that has been working like a charm for some time now. Until now we've not had to nat any resources to the outside. I created network objects for an internal host and an external host. The internal host has to respond to requests on tcp/2001.
The internal host has no problem accessing the internet, but when I attempt to access the internal host from the outside, I get the following:
I have an RVS 4000. I have several PC's to which I have assigned static IP addresses. I have recently upgraded most of the PC's to Win 7 (64) machines. I updated the firmware on the RVS4000 to 1.3.3.5 in conjunction with this. After such update (and actually before as well) I could not assign a static IP address to a PC and have access to the internet. It connects fine to my LAN, just no internet access. This is also affected on several other machines running Win XP and Win 2003 Server, so it's not just this computer.
I have:
1. Shut down (powered off/unplugged) everything, router, DSL modem, switches, server, etc.
2. As I said firmware is current.
3. Yes, DNS servers and gateway, subnet, etc. are all correctly specified on the PC.
4. Router is set for gateway mode.
5. Set to only IPV4.
The only way it allows internet access is to use DHCP. I've even tried taking the IP address via DHCP and manually assigning the DNS servers and that works fine, but as soon as I assign a static IP internet access is immediately gone.
There must be something I'm missing, but I can't seem to find it.
Everything worked fine prior to the conversion of the Win 7 machines, i.e. I had several PC's with static IP's and no problems.
ASA 5510I'm trying to add a static NAT for to allow access to an internal webserver on my DMZ. I've added the config, however i'm still unable to get to it from the outside. I'm able to ping and browse the server from the LAN and I'm also able to ping the external interafce from the outside, but just unable to browse.I've turned on logging and the error I'm getting is "Inbound TCP connection denied...flags SYN on interface outside"
I have configured the ASA in a very similar manner to how the PIX was set up but I'm having trouble with some hosts on the inside accessing the Internet. Any inside hosts which use DHCP work fine. Any inside hosts with a static IP (and configured on the ASA with a "static" rule) cannot access the Internet. For example, in the config below the server daviker-dialler cannot access the Internet. I've spent a few days working on this now and have started from scratch several times but I'm not getting anywhere. Apologies for all the X's everywhere, didn't like to post anything sensitive on the Internet.
I have a RV120W used to provide VPN access to several industrial devices. Some of these devices are assigned IP address via DHCP in the router. One cannot do DHCP, so it has a self-determined static IP.
The VPN works well for all the devices that are assigned IP's. However, it does not allow me to connect to the device that has a static IP. I can connect to it fine when I am on the LAN or WLAN, but cannot ping it via the VPN.
I have an application for work that I need to access true vpn connection :I have Sbs server 2008 with vpn support , I can access my folders and exchange and ... , this works fine. Now I have an application that search to connect to the server via local ip at work but when I use vpn to access it then the application goes searching on my local ip adress and not on the vpn ip adress.vpn has same ip as local ip at work). Now my question is: Can I set the application to search on the range of my vpn connection instead of searching on my local ip when i am not at work but on a different site ?I tryed almost anything but the application still looks directly on my local ip instead of the ip of my vpn
I can access our CSSS 11500 through telnet and a serial connection. When I try the web interface, I get:
CVDM Startup Error CVDM has not been granted the necessary privileges to startup successfully, or another unknown error occurred during startup. Please close all involved browser windows and try again by granting all requested privileges.
We have Cisco ACE 4710 in our network.system image file: (hd0,1)/c4710ace-mz.A3_2_0.bin Device Manager version 1.1 (0) 20080805:0415
We are not able to connect to the device through HTTPS (GUI) , it used to work before. When we try access the GUI, it asks for user name and password. After that it shows blank screen.
There is VIP that is used by ACE for load balancing web servers. Internal users succeed to this VIP. ASA (connected to Core 6509 switch) is performing static NAT (VIP-to-External IP). External users cannot open web page while requesting for this IP. ASA is allowing request for any port. Also there is such string when issuing "show nat" on ASA: Untranslated hits . What can solve that problem?
At first I use ACS 4.2 to create static ip address user for remote access VPN,It's easy, just configuration it at user set>Client IP Address Assignment>Assign static IP address, but when I use ACS 5.2 I can't find it.I try to add IPv4 address attribute to user by read "ACS 5.2 user guide" ,it says this: [code] I do this, but it's not work. When I use EasyVPN client to connect ASA 5520,user could through authentication but will not get that static IP address which I configuration on Internal Users.so,what should I do,if anyboby knows how to use ACS 5.2 to create a static ip address user for remote access VPN.
I've installed RV042 for a client of mine. For next two months everything worked without any problems. The issue I've been experiencing lately is when I assign a static IP address to the PC it won't have internet access. Once I allow it to have a dynamically assigned IP then it works fine. The IP I assign isn't part of the DHCP range.
I running site-to-site IPsec VPN in Cisco 2811 IOS 12.4 both site. Here I encounter a problem to access server on Site A from Site B
Site A having Leased Line connected to router with Public IP. I have done static mapping 1 web server to Public IP (NAT). This to allow external users to access the server via Public IP. At the same time, users at Site B would need to access to same server via Internal IP since they have Site-to-Site VPN established. But once I done Static Mapping (NAT), user at Site B unable to access the server at Site A using its internal IP. But external user can access server via Public IP. What went wrong here. Do i need to add extra command to get this done?
Today I installed the 1.0.2.6 Firmware on a RV180W. I only have now two problems regarding the Static DHCP support in the GUI.
1. Via the Networking > LAN (Local Network) > Static DHCP I have no buttons to Add a new static Lease. 2. Via the Networking > LAN (Local Network) > DHCP Lease Clients I can thick a Lease and click on Make Static IP. The result is an error: Operation failed.
configure Cisco Ace 4710 ?Note :- Just a testing face I need to access my one server(192.168.1.11 : 80) through VIP :- 10.13.77.10 , I have only one Cisco Router 2800 and One L2 Cisco Switch 2960 and Cisco Ace 4710 . So I already configured 2 Different VLANS in Switch (Vlan 10 & Vlan 100) and by router I given the ip address of that Vlans with Inter Routing Vlan. My Connectivity is like this :-- Router Ethernet 0/0 --- 10.13.77.1/24 with vlan 10) & Router Ethernet 0/1 ---- 192.168.1.1/24 with vlan 100 ) connected with switch after that I configured ACE LB and connect the ACE interface with switch Like that ---- Connect to ACE Interface 2/3 vlan10 with switch vlan10(Ethernet port 2-12) and Connect to ACE Interface 3/3 vlan100 with switch vlan100(Ethernet port 13-24) .Testing to access server from Switch Vlan10 to Vlan 100 where my server is there.
Configuration :---
ACE> client side Vlan10 (10.13.77.4/24) , VIP :- 10.13.77.10, SM-- 255.255.255.255 ACE> server side Vlan100 (192.168.1.5/24), Web server -- 192.168.1.11 with 80 port ACE> Managment Vlan 1000 (172.16.6.5/24) , ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.13.77.1
I already Configured in Routed mode but From Vlan10 ip subnet example like 10.13.77.12(Client or User PC) tried to access server 192.168.1.11 with VIP http://10.13.77.10 but not responding , if i access server with real IP then accessible (why boz there is inter vlan routing)?
Access Server through VIP (ACE 4710) but very slow
Accessing the server very slow.., check my real configuration... this configuration is for application server and after this i have to configure more serverfarm for different server like webmail etc. in this ACE 4710. I have only one ACE 4710 .
ACE Version A4(2.0) = is there supports Probe with this version? without probe server will work but very slow.
VIP :-- 172.16.15.8 LB/Admin# sh run Generating configuration....
We have 4710 ACE in our network and currently we are using software version A3 2.0.
Currently we are not able to access the ACE through web interface but Telnet is happening properly. Connection is establing while we are doing the telnet to ACE through port 80 and port 443. find the below dummy configuration.
resource-class SLB_STICKY limit-resource all minimum 0.00 maximum unlimited limit-resource sticky minimum 10.00 maximum equal-to-min
I want to do with my ea4500 is assign it a static IP and access it after doing so. But, no matter how many times I try, I cannot enter its IP address in the address bar and see its settings. I change its IP to192 168 1 200. Subset 255... DG 192 168 1 1 DNS same.Under router address 192 168 0 1I CANNOT access this router at 192 168 0 1 at all. The thing is, the **bleep** settings are not any different the. How they were when it was WORKING. I literally took a screenshot of my setting in case a scenario like this would come up, yet it more problems arise. The only way I can access the router is by doing a factory reset and accessing it at 192 168 1 1.
I have an E3000 that I am just setting up.I have two issues:
1> I am replacing a WRT110. I had the old router set with a static IP address supplied by my ISP. I configured the E3000 with the same address and I cannot access the internet. Are there any tricks to setting this up on an E3000?
2> As configured I there is a guest network setup. BUT when I access the router I don't see the tab to be able to configure it.
I have five (5) sites all connected via static VPN tunnels. They are all using Cisco ASA 5510s running 8.4(4)1. Any internal IP on each site can ping any IP on a remote site, because of the static VPN tunnels. I have the external IP (routeable) addresses connecting to each other.
Site A: 10.1.0.0 /24 Site B: 10.2.0.0 /24 Site C: 10.3.0.0 /24 Site D: 10.5.0.0 /24 Site E: 10.10.0.0 /20
I have remote users who connect using Cisco AnyConnect 3.1 to Site E. They get a static IP within the 10.10.100.0 /24 subnet (vpnpool00) and can access anything in the 10.10.0.0 /20 subnet. So far, so good.No management wants users to access devices within the other sites, specifically Site A using teh same AnyConnect connection. In other words, they get an Ip address of say, 10.10.100.5 and now need to access a server on Site A's subnet or 10.1.0.5.I have checked my NAT statements and they appear to allow this, but so far when I do a ping I get the following: Routing failed to locate next hop for ICMP from outside: 10.10.100.5/1 to inside: 10.1.0.5/0 What am I missing? Is there a NAT statement that is wrong, or an access-list statement or possibly a static route?
I configure multiple static RPs and one of the ACLs denies a source will it move on to the next entry that covers it in another acl? [code] i.e. 1.1.1.1 will be used as the RP for 224 to 238 and 2.2.2.2 will be used as the RP for 239.Will that work correctly, i.e. if a source is trying to register with the router and its for the group 239.1.1.1, will it be denied against the first RP and then permitted against the second RP?
At first I use ACS 4.2 to create static ip address user for remote access VPN,It's easy, just configuration it at user set>Client IP Address Assignment>Assign static IP address, but when I use ACS 5.2 I dont't know how to do it.
I try to add IPv4 address attribute to user by read "ACS 5.2 user guide" ,it says this:
Step 1Add a static IP attribute to internal user attribute dictionary: Step 2Select System Administration > Configuration > Dictionaries > Identity > Internal Users. Step 3Click Create. Step 4Add static IP attribute. Step 5Select Users and Identity Stores > Internal Identity Stores > Users. Step 6Click Create. Step 7Edit the static IP attribute of the user.
I just do it,but it's not work. When I use EasyVPN client to connect ASA 5520,user could success to authentication but will not get the static IP address which I configure on Internal Users,so the tunnel set up failed.I try to Configure a IP pool on ASA for ACS users get IP address, and use EasyVPN client to connect ASA , everything is OK,user authenticate successed.but when I kill IP pool coufigurations and use the "add a static IP address to user "configurations,EzVPN are failed. how to use ACS 5.2 to create a static ip address user for remote access VPN?
I have a computer named server and it ip is 192.168.0.5 and a live ip xxxxxxxx which is a private ip. on this system my oracle middle wear is running.I just want that people may access my application which is running on 'server' through public ip. Is it possible. If it is. then how.=]
