View 1 RepliesI have my downstairs PC (Windows Vista 64 bit) conncted to a Belkin router. model F5D7632-4. This works without any problems.Upstairs, my son has a PC (Windows XP) that connects via a Belkin USB G Network Adapter, model F5D7050, version 4.000uk. This worked perfectly, too.He has just got a new PC which I have bought from a friend. My friend used the tower of a previous PC my son had, which had died about 4 years back when the PSU blew and took everything out with it, and fitted the motherboard, graphics card, HDD, RAM etc etc (it uses Windows 7).
I downloaded the latest drivers from the Belkin site, installed them, but for the life of me, the new PC will not detect the network connection. At all. It doesn't find anything. So, I unplugged my PC from the router, and plugged the new PC into it. Unsurpisingly, it connected to the net without any problems. The next thing I did was to reconnect my PC to the router, and try my son's new PC wirelessly again with the Network Adaptor, in the same room. Again, it just doesn't find a network at all.The PC detects the Adapter being plugged in and out, and the light is on on it. I even tried his old PC with the Adapter, and that still finds the network perfectly.
I was on the phone to Belkin for 35 mins yesterday, and they went through everything, to no avail. They think the USB slots may be faulty, even though the PC knows when i'm plugging things into them.
i am having real issues with my printer, i have a network of 3 computers and it was attached to a printer that worked fine, i then changed the printer for a new one and i am now unable to find this printer on my network. i have installed drivers on the computers. how do i find the printer. the network works fine with everything else.

When I try to repair the connection, it keeps authenticating and then says that windows is unable to find a certificate to log me on to the network. I did some googling and it was suggested to uncheck the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network box under the Authentication tab in Wireless Network properties. I tried that but then I get an error message saying "The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration".I have no idea what to do or what the problem is. My other laptop works fine from which I have set up this network works fine. My phone seems to work fine, too. I already restarted the router and my netbook but that didn't work either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave a ZyXEL 600 wireless router - it has worked without issues for years. However yesterday evening my wireless router suddenly stopped broadcasting a signal. 2 different PC's and a wifi dongle attached to our TV were suddenly all unable to find my network. The WLAN light on the router was still lit up. I connected my Acer Aspire 5742Z laptop to the router via an ethernet cable and it worked fine. I connected to the router and it said there were no errors.

Camera 942l is on ver 1.1
D-Viewcam = v 3.2
Both reside on the same LAN
I'm able to view the camera on the browser. And on my phone.
After opening my laptop one day, i realise i can't find any networks. There are usually multiple connections available, be they my neighbours' or mine, but i'm unable to even find them. I'm not given the option to connect wirelessly, but only via cable. I'm not sure whether it's a hardware problem or there's something up with my software.I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1525 which is running on Windows 7 - 32bit.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network. My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1. My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems. The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.
I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390 but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.
The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.
I have CAT-5e cabling running from ceiling to floor and need to enclose this as it's quite an eye-sore. I am looking for a 10' x 4" x 4" vertical enclosure but cannot seem to find any unit that is >84".

-Check the drivers are ok.
Recently, I have found out that my laptop is unable to find any networks. I started using what I believe to be an ethernet cable to connect my laptop to the internet because it was faster than wireless. But when I removed the cable and try to connect wirelessly, the computer states that there are no wireless networks in range. I know the wireless adapter is broadcasting because my sister can connect wirelessly to the internet. My WiFi is on, but I can't find any networks.
View 10 Replies View RelatedA week ago I accidently clicked the disable icon on wireless network connection on the bottom right icon on my PC screen. I quickly reversed this but now for some reason, all the wireless networks that are around me cannot be picked up on my Phillips Freevents Windows XP.it was able to pick up two wireless connections and now, not even a trace of one. The other laptops in the house can pick up the wireless connections so I know its working. The internet works when the box is connected to the computer but I need the box in another room so wireless is essential.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd had my camera offline for the last couple of months, and in the interim I've upgraded both my main pc and the wireless router. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on the pc, and the router is a netgear gigabit dual band wired/wireless. When running through the camera setup I am not able to get setup to find the camera, whether wired or wireless. I know that the camera's online as it shows in the routers device table, and I'm able to access the camera with my browser. However, the failed setup prevents my registering the camera on MyDlink. Any thoughts? Should I be looking at the ports on the router in regard to the camera's IP?My goal is to be able to remotely monitor my home, which the MyDlink service seemed to offer. Based on what I've read, it appears there are other ways to achieve my goal, but I would like to figure out the install problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am testing VPN tunnels in a lab. I have the following (simple) setup:
-one ASA5505 has an "inside" interface with address 192.16.99.40/24 and an "outside" interface with address 205.192.0.2/24
-one computer with address 192.16.99.1/24 ("Client") is connected to the "inside" interface
-one ASA5510 has an "inside" interface with address 192.0.99.40/24 and an "outside" interface with address 205.192.0.1/24
-one computer with address 192.0.99.1/24 ("Server") is connected to the "inside" interface
-both "outside" interfaces are connected through a layer 2 switch
I had a VPN tunnel between them using "Main mode", and that worked without a problem. But in my target system, the ASA5505 will be connected to a router with a dynamic IP address, and so I need to use "Aggressive mode", where the ASA5510 will have a static address on the "outside" interface. The ASA5505 will therefore initiate the VPN session.
I am using the ASDM, by the way.I have the VPN tunnel established, but I am unable to ping from either side. When I ping the Server from the Client, the ASA5505 gives me the expected "Built/Teardown ICMP connection...", but the ASA5510 says "IKE Initiator unable to find policy: Intf inside, Src: 192.0.99.1, Dst: 192.16.99.1". So the ping makes it to the Server, but the reply can't find its way back out. When I ping the client from the Server, I get the same message on the ASA5510: "IKE Initiator unable to find policy: Intfc inside, Src: 192.0.99.1, Dst: 192.16.99.1".I attach the configuration on the ASA5510.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer 3810T laptop and am running Windows 7 on it.The problem I've had is my WiFi has been unstable. For example for 5 minutes or sometimes up to an hour I can easily find wifi networks in range of my laptop but then out of nowhere it disappears and I don't find any networks but any other WiFi device will find my router so I know it's laptop related.I did some research on Google and found out this is an issue others have had with Windows 7 and it seems to be something to do with when updates are installed. I followed the advice to remove my WiFi drivers and reinstall them so I downloaded a file for the Intel drivers from Acer's website. I went into Control Panel and removed 2 devices that were related to WiFi. I then did a scan for hardware and found one wifi device, an Intel WiFI Link 5100AGN. I installed the driver for this one. The problem is I know I removed two and this is the only one the scan found and I can't remember the name of the other wifi device/driver I removed.Unfortunately ever since I did this my WiFi isn't working. In the control panel it shows all drivers are installed and working but when I click on the bars at the bottom of my screen no wifi networks show. I have tried going into the Network and Sharing Center and for example I select set up a connection or network and when I select Manually Connect to a wireless network it states "An Unexpected Error Occured" so I know something is missing that's allowing the WiFI to work.
