Getting Disconnected When Either Gaming Or Watching Videos Online?
Mar 30, 2011I keep getting disconnected from internet every once in while. Maybe for a minute or less, but there was never any obvious sign of disconnection, IE. my tray icon never says disconnected or limited connectivity. But there are signs of getting disconnected when I am either gaming or watching videos online. The video would buff a bit then get stucked, then loads after a few to 30 sec delay. When gaming, I would lag out or have everyone waiting for me to connect back (warcraft3, starcraft When I am downloading files, this does not ever happened, no matter how big the file size is. This problem started a few days ago. I tried restart the modem but I cannot possible do that every 15 mins. Another problem that could possibly be also be the same is that I am connected but cannot browse websites. If I am downloading anything, it will still keep download, i just can't browse or log on to online games.

Jun 15, 2011My problem is that we moved house and had to wait for our new internet to be connected in the meantime I used my iphone to tether but now that we have our internet connection back my laptop won't work with wireless. It says it's connected and excellent strength but when I try to open a page it says Page Cannot be Displayed.I know it's not the router because our PC and PS3 is connecting fine, and I can connect to the internet on my laptop via a ethernet cable. My drivers are updated and when I run a check it says the device is working properly. The IP address is correct and I have the correct SSID and Network key. I don't know what else I can try. I have contacted my internet supplier and the ran through everything they they could think of and nothing worked.

Jan 10, 2013I shut down my laptop over Christmas and when I returned it would no longer connect to the Internet. It will connect to the network but not the Internet. Every other device I have (blu-ray player, work laptop, iPad, etc) goes online without any problem using the same router and network. I am running windows 7 and a linksys router that is a year old. Its a Dell Inspiron 1545. I was connected wirelessly but have a LAN connected now while I work this. Neither will connect to the Internet. I have terrible trouble with routers and am terrible when it comes to hardware.My computer skills for this sort of thing are only average. My problem is that my wireless connection is so slow and I am limited to single player only games, I get bored after awhile and would rather play some online games. If I try playing an FPS such as Counter strike, or left 4 dead I can join the game fine, but then my ping skyrockets into the 500+ range.

(always in the wireless mode), my laptop (Sony, Vaio VGN-NW110D) freezes when I stream videos online or when I use skype video calls. It sometimes freezes for a few minutes (in that case it's just really extremely slow and it sounds like a satanic robot), and then comes back (but does it again a few minutes later. Or sometimes, and this is more frequent with skype video calls, it completely freezes, and I have to reboot the hard way...This never happened to me before and I've been watching videos and video skyping for years. I have windows 7, service pack 1 (32 bits) now . I have windows 7 now, since about the same time I bought the router. But what makes me think its related to the router is that when I'm at work, or at my parents, or sisters, or boyfriend's house, this problem does NOT occure.... I don't know if this information could be relevant, but this does not happen when I make videos calls with skype on my iphone.

Mar 23, 2011i have a use-case in which we need to firewall some of the security-sensitive-vlans to the ASA. In other words, there are few vlans that have their SVIs on the N5k (Layer-3 enabled) which talk to each other and there are some which have the layer-3 on the ASA. The ASA has sub-interfaces for those vlans. The N5k-sw and the ASA are interconnected on the same 1 physical link with a sub-interface on both ( /30) and the ASA is injecting default route to it in OSPF. They are advertising all of their networks in OSPF. I see all the routes in them. (Attached pic),My issue is: I am unable to ping the other sub-interface on the ASA from the N5k. (If you check the attached diagram, i cannot ping 20.1.1.1 from the N5k, although i can reach my next-hop 10.1.1.2) I have made the security-level to 100 for the subinterfaces and the physical interface on the ASA, also have allowed ip,icmps in the ACLs on the sub-interfaces of vlan 10 and 20 in both directions.
