I am now able to connect to the 615 either by wifi or by typing it's ip address with another computer connected to the LAN. Connecting to the 615 by wifi, i can do a ping request to urls or receive and send mail with my e-mail client but i can't access websites using my browser.s it possible to get it working without installing some kind of modified firmware? I tried plugging the Internet ethernet cable in the LAN and Internet ports of the 615, none works.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed WiFi at my house. I can connect on my smartphone and by ethernet cable and the Internet works great. I can also connect to the WiFi on my laptop, but the Internet does not work. My homepage will come up but I can't go to any other sites. My computer does not have this problem with any other WiFi networks.Based on what I've read, here's some quick info that might be useful:
1) HP Pavilion laptop
2) Windows 7
3) I have Norton Internet Security

The icon doesn't also have that blue light that I think is an indication that it has internet connection. My roommate can connect to this wifi with no problems, her notebook is Acer, just like mine. My laptop refuses to access the internet though the WiFi signal is strong (my Android phone connects instantly). I am currently in a hotel so cannot mess with the router (as advised by Windows help!). I have a similar problem in one airport lounge but generally it's fine, and at home I have no problem at all. It will connect for a while but them loses it and it stays lost for ages.

I have a couple of computers in my house that work fine with my wireless router, but all of a sudden, my roommate's computer, a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7, is connection to the wireless network but has "no internet access." I've rebooted th.e modem and router, to no avail. I've also tried a number of suggestions online, but without success. My friend's computer has McAfee, with which I'm unfamiliar. The only real difference I cn see between our computers is that she has a different wireless card.

When i tried to connect the Router cable directly to my DSL to my laptop the wifi works as well but when i unplug the router cable that connects to my laptop, the wifi shows same problem again with connection but no internet access. The room we work in is able to access the Public Wifi but only half of the room has a good connection. I went to the local computer store and purchased a Belkin Dual-band wireless Range Extender and got it all set up, now I have the Public Wifi Extention access and it will connect to it but it has no internet access. Now we have no access to the administor or the network from our facility. How do i get internet access thru this range extender? If i connect from the good half of the room to the Public wifi i have a good connection with internet access but as soon as you put it thru the extender no more internet access.

The only problem is when we log into her wifi it says "No Internet Access". I'm moderately okay when it comes to computers but not expert and I'm horrible at the whole wifi router thing. Through my laptop I've done a Windows Network Diagnostic to see what was wrong and it says that my "computer is correctly configured but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding."

I connect to my home wifi network and will have excellent signal strength, but after about 20 minutes or so, I will lose internet access, but will stay connected to my wifi network. If I join my neighbor's wifi network I will have the same issue.I will connect to a network, and while still connected, I will suddenly lose internet access (signal strength will remain the same). Switching networks doesn't correct the problem.
When I lose internet, I can disconnect from the network and reconnect mere seconds later and will have the internet access back again.I have reset the modem/router and my computer numerous times but the problem does not go away.
My computer connects to an unscured wifi near my home and i have internet acces for a few minuets, then it just stoppes. Sometimes if i reconnect it will run for a few more minuets 5-10. I have tried two different computers with same results. about a month ago the connection worked fine. I have a Windows XP SP3 desktop with a NetGear WG111v2 USB wireless adapter and I get my internet connection from my Blackberry 8320 (I connect my BBerry device to my PC and start Blackberry Desktop Manager and choose to use internet access of my phone for my PC). I want to be able to make this internet connection available to other devices on the network wirelesly. I also have a nook ebook reader and a laptop which I would occassionaly like to connect to internet via the connection described above. This effects gaming (constantly disconnected from WOW after maybe 2 or 3 minutes) and streaming video. I can connect directly to the router or modem by cable and the issue never occurs. My girlfriends laptop is able to connect to the wireless connection with no issue. We also had a friend over on his laptop, and he had no issue with the wireless connection.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the wifi card drivers (Atheros AR5B97 Wireless Network Adapter), disabled the power management features, and updated Win 7 64-bit.
