D-link Dir-615 :: Wifi Access Point - Getting No Browser Internet Access
Apr 22, 2013I've been following those instructions to set a dir-615 as a wifi access point connected to a switch : [URL]. I am now able to connect to the 615 either by wifi or by typing it's ip address with another computer connected to the LAN. Connecting to the 615 by wifi, i can do a ping request to urls or receive and send mail with my e-mail client but i can't access websites using my browser.s it possible to get it working without installing some kind of modified firmware? I tried plugging the Internet ethernet cable in the LAN and Internet ports of the 615, none works.

I can also connect to the WiFi on my laptop, but the Internet does not work. My homepage will come up but I can't go to any other sites. The icon doesn't also have that blue light that I think is an indication that it has internet connection. My roommate can connect to this wifi with no problems, her notebook is Acer, just like mine. My laptop refuses to access the internet though the WiFi signal is strong (my Android phone connects instantly). I am currently in a hotel so cannot mess with the router (as advised by Windows help!). I have a similar problem in one airport lounge but generally it's fine, and at home I have no problem at all. It will connect for a while but them loses it and it stays lost for ages.

Aug 26, 2012I have a couple of computers in my house that work fine with my wireless router, but all of a sudden, my roommate's computer, a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7, is connection to the wireless network but has "no internet access." I've rebooted th.e modem and router, to no avail. I've also tried a number of suggestions online, but without success. My friend's computer has McAfee, with which I'm unfamiliar. The only real difference I cn see between our computers is that she has a different wireless card.

Mar 13, 2013I have configured a vlan interface on a 3750 switch. there is aprox 4Mb active traffic flowing through the interface, but when I do a "show interface vlan (vlanid)" the output show zero bits in and zero bits out. Its a typical L3 config with one IP on the vllan interface acting as the gateway for the VLAN devices. Is this a normal behaviur ? and if so is there any way to get the traffic in/out stats. The end PC/devices are connected to this switch via an L2 TRUNK and I dont have access to the L2 switch on which the actual devices connect. so cant get the real time stats of those interfaces.

I connect to my home wifi network and will have excellent signal strength, but after about 20 minutes or so, I will lose internet access, but will stay connected to my wifi network. If I join my neighbor's wifi network I will have the same issue.I will connect to a network, and while still connected, I will suddenly lose internet access (signal strength will remain the same). Switching networks doesn't correct the problem.
When I lose internet, I can disconnect from the network and reconnect mere seconds later and will have the internet access back again.I have reset the modem/router and my computer numerous times but the problem does not go away.
