Connect Bluetooth Cell Modem To Wireless Router?
Apr 5, 2011Using cell phone as a modem via bluetooth.. is there anyway to hook this connection up to a wireless router so i can use it throughout the house? Works fine on this computer, but i just don't know how i would hook it up correctly to work with other computers? I attempted to, but the internet connection was still not working on the other computer... It's an actiontec wireless router

Jun 28, 2010I've got a Studio 15 Dell with the 365 bluetooth module running win7 64-bit and I'm using it with my iPhone for internet tethering / mobile broadband.
The iPhone 3GS is paired with the laptop just fine and no errors and can connect and use the internet tethering. The problem I have is that it takes about 5 minutes before I get the option to Connect to the Access Point.
It doesn't matter if I turn bluetooth on/off on the iPhone, reboot the iphone or turn the bluetooth adapter on / off on the laptop. I try refreshing, I try forcing the pairing from the iPhone interface and so on.
I have the dell configured to allow the iPhone to always connect without prior authentication or extra approval.
Nothing seems to make a difference other than to sit around and wait 3-5 minutes and then all of sudden I get the option to Connect to the Access Point.

There is no skip button, and the only option out of Skip, Next, and Cancel I can choose is Cancel. Is there a way to get around this? I did try to paired the laptop and mobile devices, after i key in the same code in my mobile when i got the pairing request from the laptop, its successful to paired but failed to connect. I can see my mobile device shown on my PC Setting (Devices). I am able to send file from the laptop to mobile, but i am not able to send file from the mobile to laptop as its keep showing "unable to connect".
FYI, due to space bar and touch pad issue, i had requested to change the keyboard. Hence, all the parts had been taken out and re-installed before.

I looked for and installed the latest driver for Windows 7 on the Dell driver downloads site "Widdcomm Bluetooth Software 6.2.0.9600". When it installed it gave a "Device unplugged" message for four instances of "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" but despite a "Ready to use" message for "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" the overall message is "Device did not install properly" and I still cannot connect to my P590 headset.

Dec 19, 2012I have installed wireless 365 bluetooth driver but then of course the pop up says to activate the bluetooth using wireless switch. No dice. When I press the wireless switch I only see my wi-fi connection. I have checked device manager and no bt shows there. Also when I type 'bttray' under the start menu nothing shows up in the search.
Is this laptop even able to support bluetooth? I have searched through many other similar questions and have been unable to find any info on this for the n7010.
BTW: Windows 7, x64... let me know if you need other info.
