There is NO connection although Belkin Wireless Adaptor is blinking to catch signal.Whenever there is no connection, I need to click Belkins Utility at System tray at the bottom in order to get connection, however it does not keep connected and lasts only 10-20 minutes.Besides this, I found when I clicked, icon of Belkin > Properties > Network and found there is no 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings.

I tried to reinstall the Wireless Network from program along with the CD application that came with Laptop. I also use limitless resources in order to have my Wireless Network to appear.
I use right now with Ethernet connected to router.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Gateway Notebook Model ML6720 that has built-in Wireless. The PC was heavily infected by Virus and I had to re-install Vista Operating system. Now, it will not detect the Wireless Adapter. I went to the maufacturer's website on another computer and downloaded the driver and installed the driver on the laptop. However, it did not work. The blue "wireless" light on the laptop is "lit", however when I go to "Device Manager" and look at the Network Drives, it only shows the wired Ethernet option.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had a DIR-655 for years, and this is a treat - channeling everything from IPTV, to a fast fiber connection, transfers - no sweats.
Then I had to setup a router for a friend, and recommended the DIR-615.
Setup the router, and max it would connect with was 150mb - I changed the settings accordingly: auto channel scan channel width: auto 20/40mhz
So this "opened" up the 300mb speed - however only for 5 mins, then it falls down to 150mb.
My laptop (lenovo) connects to the dir-655 just fine at full speed, and this is also the machine I used for testing the dir-615.
It's ax Hx firmware, FW: 8.04
What I can conclude by using inssider, and xirrus wifi inspector is that it generates 2 channels - and then after 5mins of connectivity looses a channel, and then the speed drops.
I got a new router from the dealer, same issue. Then a friend of mine lent me an ancient dir-615, and interestingly enough this had the same configuration option of "Transmission rate" in the wireless settings page! Just like the dir-655. and also connects at 300mb...
I had to Reinstall my windows Vista OS. My WNA was working prior to the OS reinstallation, so I am confused a bit. I have no idea how to reinstall drivers in order that dell gives me. I have downloaded the drivers from the Dell downloads section;however, I don't know what to do next. I tried to go to device manager and find network adapter, but it does not appear, only an "other" section with some ! marks next to them.

Ever since I got this computer (about 2 yrs ago), I have had problems with it suddenly disconnecting from the internet. When this happens it could never detect any wireless networks and I would have to restart the computer to temporarily solve the problem. It usually happened after the computer was in hibernation.
Yesterday this happened again, only this time restarting the computer did not solve the problem. When I could not connect to a network I clicked on "Diagnose why Windows cannot find any additional networks" and it said "Install wireless networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded".
I went onto the Sony website to download the Intel Wifi link 5100 AGN wireless LAN Driver and updates. The download was not successful and I received a message indicating that the latest updates of this driver were already installed in my computer.
Representatives at Sony only directed me to links that had steps to finding out what my problem was, which I followed with no success. Most of the steps included enabling the adapter in the device manager, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, etc...I could not do any of these things because the driver does not appear in the device manager at all.
LAN icon is missing in xp. the icon is missing from Network Connections and doesn't showup. Anyway to make it appear.

Soon after I was able to connect on my laptop, (laptop was connected and turned on during storm too) but desktop was still unable to do so.
I noticed that in device manager there is missing network adapter in list. EVerything is connected as it should be, but ethernet port doesnt have any lights on. I believe there should be some small light on port as is on my laptop, but Im unsure.
how I could check whether my network card is ok? Or what could the problem be? I really hope its just software issue.

I reinstalled the OS without a problem, but after I could not connect to the internet because it said I was missing my network drivers.where I can get these drivers? I have Win 7 64bit. Its very frustrating that I cannot edit the website now and we are missing valuable information. I did see the files when I created a new Network Place with the prefix but I cannot edit and save to our website. Now I did ask MyHosting administrator but they are seriously taking longer to get back to me then needed. I can open Front Page, but of course, cannot publish anything to the website. More so, even just opening the files in server.com is the actual issue because I cannot change the website page. That's the files I need to change in Front Page. I did go to my account settings within myhosting server to the File Manager and YES! I could see all the files....but again I cannot save anything to the website or publish..I DID NOT DOWNLOAD anything over the past few days and have not gone to unauthorized websites that would have provided a virus. Everything else works fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a network setup on a Domain. Yesterday all computers were talking to one another correctly and were visible. We had a Linksys e1500 Wireless router when everything was running smoothly. We upgraded to a Linksys e3200 and swapped it into the system pulling the e1500 out.
No settings or configurations were changed on the server or any of the client machines, but as soon as the e3200 was installed and put in place all client machines on the network were visible to one another but the server was not.
After scratching my head and not having a suitable answer I decided to just put the e1500 back into our infrastructure and remove the e3200. Imagine my dismay when the server was still missing but all other computers were visible on the domain. Obviously the e3200 wasn't and isn't the issue, but it was literally the only change we made to our system in that period between... visible server and no visible server.
Anything I can check for a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard that has mysteriously vanished without explanation when it has been working fine for 4 weeks prior without fault?
My hard-drive crashed, and I bought it refurbished, so I never got a Windows disc. I got a hard-drive from a friend, and I am trying to use it with my laptop, but it is missing the Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, and the PCI Controller drivers. I have searched all around, and I can not talk to Acer, for my warranty is past. They just want to repair it.
