Mar 6, 2012I want to share PC internet (PPPOE connection) on my linksys wireless router (E3000)Problem : When i directly connect internet wire in router, pppoe connection frequently gets disconnected. So what i wanted was to share my pc internet on router.I have two lan card on windows 7 installed PC, 1st lan card is connected to internet cable and i can access internet on pc, second lancard is connected to wireless router. So basically what i want is to share pc internet ( PPPOE ) on wireless router through DHCP connection type.

Sep 18, 2012I just installed the free vpn client spotflux. The connection works fine, but after I disable the vpn again windows 7 seems to not use my "normal" ethernet connection anymore. I'm pretty sure that it will use that connection if I deinstall spotflux again but how to configure windows to use the normal connection when the vpn is not connected?I've attached a screenshot of the LAN connection settings and the priority list - but still it doesnt seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Feb 11, 2013Can't connect to the wireless network that is in the next room but I can connect across the street, I keep getting the message that the LAN Media connection is DISCONNECTED on connection 2, the computer trys to RENEW the IP address but can never do it, I have run CMD propmts pconfig/release, ipconfig/renew, ipconfig/all nothing works for my home system yet my laptop is connected my tower is running on the guy across the street.

Jul 10, 2012I have brought a broadband connection from a local ISP called YouBroadband. (I am from India, if you are wondering.) For the first month of my plan, I was having internet connection without any issues. But since 2nd month, I am experiencing a very strange problem. When I turn on my PC and connect to internet by entering my password, I do so without any problem. But after a few mnutes of connectivity, I loose my connection. Even stranger is the fact my Windows 7 Ultimate edition does not recognise this. It still shows connected sign in the notification area. But I am not able browse any more using any browser. to solve the problem, I start network troubleshooting, which in a few seconds shows, resetting 'Local Area Connection 2' and then I am able to log in again. At times this solution also doesn't work. All i can do at that time is shut down my PC, wait a few minutes and restart again. To my extreme dismay, this keeps happening over and over again. I connect, get disconnected, reconnect and again disconnect. This is terribly disturbing and annoying.
I have searched on Google with no success. I tried changing DNS server settings and put Google open DNS address as my preferred DNS server but that didn't solve the problem too.( I received this tip from a friend of mine.) Aug 26, 2011I have a small network, about 35 computers.There is 20 LAN PC computers (they use dns, active directory, dhcp), and there is 10 laptops. They connect on same D-Link wireless router( radius server authentication).After most of laptops is operational(connected on wireless router and on domain ), same two laptops always disconnect, and they can't regain connection . All laptops also get their ip addresses through dhcp.I tried all kind of wireless router configuration, I don't think it is dhcp or dns server problem, remote access policy is also very simple

Oct 8, 2011I have a US Robotics 5462 router and a D-Link DCM-202 cable modem on Comcast. I've had this router for years and initially configured it for wireless access using a Windows XP system (this router requires you to configure it via Ethernet and 192.168.2.1). That computer stopped working last year, so I got a new computer running Windows 7.When I first got this new PC, I could not connect to my router via Ethernet (just like I can't now), but I was still able to connect to the wireless network I had previously set up, so I was satisfied.
A year went by, and last week I was suddenly unable to access my wireless network, so I did a factory reset on the router, erasing my previously configured wireless network and requiring me to connect the router to my computer via Ethernet to reconfigure the router. I tried to do this, but despite all of the correct LEDs being lit on the router, I could not access 192.168.2.1. A little poking around on my control panel revealed that my LAN was being labeled as an "Unidentified Network" and there was "No Internet Access." I tried to make it a private network, but that didn't fix the issue.
I searched around for a while and read some advice to try running ipconfig. When I did that, I saw "Media Disconnected" for my LAN adapter. I've tried a few of the possible solutions already with no luck. With the same computer and the same Ethernet cable directly connected to my modem instead of through the router, I *CAN* get online. That's how I'm connected right now. Also, I have no problem accessing any wi-fi networks.

All of the graphs state "Lost connection to Firewall."I try to manually reconnect but it will not. I have tried on a couple different computers and cannot get the monitoring connection to work.It is a very busy firewall and I will have to schedule for a restart (which I was thinking of doing) even though I do not see a memory issue as per snip below. Jun 30, 2012I recently did a recovery on my laptop and had to put everything back to factory settings (losing all my music, programs, etc) due to a hard disk issue that I couldn't fix otherwise. After several hours waiting for the process to finish I logged onto my laptop - a toshiba, and realized that my wifi isn't working. The computer says there is an issue with the LAN being disconnected, but my router is communicating fine with other devices. Also, the side switch that turns wifi on and off is lit up (indicating that it is on) despite the fact that Fn + F8 are not responding on my computer. Generally, the laptop cannot detect any wireless devices or routers.I did another system recovery after reading about the issue, and tried turning it on and off, etc, but with no success.

I tried changing channels, and wireless mode is now G only. Still keep getting dropped.

Nov 27, 2012We have WLC 5508 installed in our premises to which 80 1242AG APs are connected. Few days ago, all the APs all of a sudden disconnected from Controller and rejoined after 12 to 15 hours. when we try to investigate, there was regulatory domain conflict occur. But we didn't understand that those APs were configured with the same config before. How come they got diconnected and now rejoined without changing any configration in WLC?

Sep 13, 2012If I have the wired cable plugged in to my laptop1 the wireless connection works fine. If I disconnect that wired cable then the wireless connection disconnects as well. I can watch this happening when I have the connection dialogs open showing the connection wizard dialogs.The other computers and printer work as expected without disconnects..I also have three other computers including another laptop connected to a switch and router.Here is the connection schematic:

Oct 10, 2011I got 3 windows 7 pc's at home. IP V6 and IP 4 are enabled. I setup my wireless system and it worked 100%. After 3 months I add a LAN cable to two of my PC's. This is when it all started. My internet browsing became very very slow. When i shutdown the one machine it become fast again. I did the following. Pulled the LAN cable and it was still slow. I then put the cable back and disabled the Wi-Fi and it still was very slow. I rested the defaults and restored my old backup and it still slow. Now I can get any access to the internet any more. I the disconnected the netgear router and take a cheap router with only LAN ports and it work 100%. All the above i did with many router and server reboots.

After installing the drivers through the disc, I ended up getting he BSOD, and my PC just kept on restarting automatically. So, after restarting my PC yet again, I tried using the Internet (Chrome) and found out that I have no Internet connection. Now, I am writing this on my iPad using the same router and modem that my PC is supposed to be using, but I keep on checking my WLAN adapter and it says that it is Not Connected. Now I have tried every forum, every post, EVERYTHING related to this problem and not a single thing fixes it. Also, when I do the ipconfig, everything says Media Disconnected and that's it. PS, I tried unplugging/plugging back in my modem and router PPS, Is it possible that when installing my new gcard and psu that I may have messed up with something internally?

checked to make sure that WZC is enabled, it is.

lots of computer restarting

Jul 27, 2012New E3200 router (a few weeks old).
Using the manual settings under Status/Router and clicking the Disconnect button (by Login Status), the page reloads, and say I am disconnected.
Without any input from me, about 30 seconds later the page reloads and say I am connected.
Clicking disconnect, closing the tab and testing my connection proves that I'm not actually being disconnected at all. I cannot force this router to manually disconnect.
Is this a firmware bug or is there another setting else where that prevents me from manually shutting down my connection?

Apr 11, 2011I bought a WAG160N ADSL2+, I configured it and all the computers can connect to it with wireless. But the problem is sometimes the connection between the wireless adapter and the router will disconnect and I'm not able to connect again (the computer screen in de bottom right corner has a red cross in front of it if you know what I mean). It can take hours before it will be able to connect again. The only way to have the connection back up is to turn off/on the WAG160N. This happens mostly on my machine (windows XP Dlink Dwa-131 adapter and with the adapter that came with the WAG160N) and afterwards on the other machines. Its like the router doesn't want me to connect anymore.
