Ethernet States Connection Status Disconnected Nvidia?
Nov 21, 2011
I just installed nVidia Nforce drivers for my Asus 750i motherboard, I show I have internet connection, however I can not get windows to pull up a site. TRIED everything reset modem, router, checked all settings. When I pull up the networking system information, it states connection status: disconnected via the Nvdia controll panel. Reset everything back to factory defaults still nothing....IT was working, I intalled I tunes, and then it stopped....I uninstalled Bonjour thinking that it might be the issue....nothing
I would like to know something I have experienced quite often these last couple of weeks at my own offices as well as at some of my clients, on machines all running XP Professional, most with SP3 installed.
Sometimes it happens that only one pc at a time would have no physical connectivity to any outbound services like the internet, or any connection to another pc or the server running SBS 2003 for that matter, although the Network Status in the bottom right hand corner says it is connected, even at 100Mbs.
When opening Network Connections and I view the status of the LAN connection, it shows that packets are being sent and received, but I am not even able to ping another IP on the network, timing out every time.
The only solution to the problem seems to be "repairing" the network connection, and then all works fine again.
I would like to know what might be causing this in the first place and also what exactly a "network connection repair" is actually repairing? The reason I am asking is that I would like to find out if it might be a sign of any hardware starting to malfunction or anything in that regard, so that one could be in the clear about what to possible expect in the future.
when i connect an eth cable to my pc everything says its doing its job righht ie driver up to date etc but i cannot get it to show as connected , all i get is that a cable is unplugged warning .
It keeps saying the connection between the modem and the computer is broken. I've installed a new ethernet cable. it works then it drops. we have hughes net here. the techs have been out and cannot isolate the problem.
I have a number of users who are failing wireless authentication. Using the troubleshooter i notice that its show message that Active Directory servers are not available. Under the Identity stores when i check on the connection status it shows disconnected. When i click on Test connection it shows successful. This ACS is a secondary. It has happened before and i removed it from the ACS cluster, rebooted it and rejoined it. Ran test connection and it showed "CONNECTED". Now it keeps showing disconnected.
My computer is a Dell Inspiron desktop 531S. I use Windows Vista.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE INT with integrated NIC card. The ethernet port isn't recognized though. I have downloaded all the latest drivers and updated my BIOS and everything I found listed about.
For an intro, Dir 500 H/W C1, FW: 3.02. Im getting this annoying error that seems to fallow every-time I boot up the router after being shut off, for example, my supply (Electricity) doesnt tend to be fluid around here so sometime the device need to be shut off (Constantly or 1 time in a daily basis) it is connected to an UPS though. After everything is up and running again I get the classic yellow sign on the tray-bar internet icon stating as connected but without Internet Access? With no way to access the internet when connected to the Dir-600, I go back using my primary router to and search for the problem, ending with nothing at hand but hard-resetting or plugging the power off kind of advises, e.g; The plug-ing off method seems not do the trick anymore, ending up only with the option of reset-ing the router to its factory status which is even more annoying to do every time I want it to function properly?
I just installed the free vpn client spotflux. The connection works fine, but after I disable the vpn again windows 7 seems to not use my "normal" ethernet connection anymore. I'm pretty sure that it will use that connection if I deinstall spotflux again but how to configure windows to use the normal connection when the vpn is not connected?I've attached a screenshot of the LAN connection settings and the priority list - but still it doesnt seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

I have brought a broadband connection from a local ISP called YouBroadband. (I am from India, if you are wondering.) For the first month of my plan, I was having internet connection without any issues. But since 2nd month, I am experiencing a very strange problem. When I turn on my PC and connect to internet by entering my password, I do so without any problem. But after a few mnutes of connectivity, I loose my connection. Even stranger is the fact my Windows 7 Ultimate edition does not recognise this. It still shows connected sign in the notification area. But I am not able browse any more using any browser. to solve the problem, I start network troubleshooting, which in a few seconds shows, resetting 'Local Area Connection 2' and then I am able to log in again. At times this solution also doesn't work. All i can do at that time is shut down my PC, wait a few minutes and restart again. To my extreme dismay, this keeps happening over and over again. I connect, get disconnected, reconnect and again disconnect. This is terribly disturbing and annoying.
I have searched on Google with no success. I tried changing DNS server settings and put Google open DNS address as my preferred DNS server but that didn't solve the problem too.( I received this tip from a friend of mine.) Here's what I get when I type ipconfig/all in Command prompt-Windows IP Configuration[CODE]
I have a small network, about 35 computers. There is 20 LAN PC computers (they use dns, active directory, dhcp), and there is 10 laptops. They connect on same D-Link wireless router( radius server authentication). After most of laptops is operational(connected on wireless router and on domain ), same two laptops always disconnect, and they can't regain connection . All laptops also get their ip addresses through dhcp.I tried all kind of wireless router configuration, I don't think it is dhcp or dns server problem, remote access policy is also very simple
LAN connection gets disabled by itself on idle. Sometimes BSODs.A few days ago I tried connecting a MBlaze modem to my laptop (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) to access internet. But it resulted in instant BSOD everytime.I deleted the modem software after that & didn't try to connect it again. But now, whenever I connect using my LAN broadband, connection works fine as long as I am continuously browsing something. But as soon as I stop browsing and it goes in idle mode in about 10-15 minutes, the connection gets disconnected. In the adapter properties, it shows that the driver is working properly. If I try to disable or uninstall it it doesn't give a response. The only solution to this is a forced shutdown & restart, after which it works fine untill not idle. I am not able to download anything because of this.I tried many things like reinstalling the network adapter driver, unchecking the power management feature, resetting the connection, etc. but nothing is working.
I have a US Robotics 5462 router and a D-Link DCM-202 cable modem on Comcast. I've had this router for years and initially configured it for wireless access using a Windows XP system (this router requires you to configure it via Ethernet and 192.168.2.1). That computer stopped working last year, so I got a new computer running Windows 7.When I first got this new PC, I could not connect to my router via Ethernet (just like I can't now), but I was still able to connect to the wireless network I had previously set up, so I was satisfied.
A year went by, and last week I was suddenly unable to access my wireless network, so I did a factory reset on the router, erasing my previously configured wireless network and requiring me to connect the router to my computer via Ethernet to reconfigure the router. I tried to do this, but despite all of the correct LEDs being lit on the router, I could not access 192.168.2.1. A little poking around on my control panel revealed that my LAN was being labeled as an "Unidentified Network" and there was "No Internet Access." I tried to make it a private network, but that didn't fix the issue.
I searched around for a while and read some advice to try running ipconfig. When I did that, I saw "Media Disconnected" for my LAN adapter. I've tried a few of the possible solutions already with no luck. With the same computer and the same Ethernet cable directly connected to my modem instead of through the router, I *CAN* get online. That's how I'm connected right now. Also, I have no problem accessing any wi-fi networks.
I have been searching forums for the last 2 hours and trying to figure out how to make this work. I tried to release/renew and it told me it couldn't and got the media disconnected message. I tried the TCP/IP and Winsock renew and that didn't work either. My internet was working OK and then all the sudden it stopped working. [code]
the product keeps saying that a network error has occured however, when i check the network status it says connected and the signal strength is at 100%.
I have a laptop - Lenovo E43 in which i tried to connect with wifi, when wireless nework connection is opened, it is showing No wireless networks were found in range. and when IPCONFIGured, Media state...:Media disconnected is displaying under the Ethernet adapter Wireless Network connection.
I have a 5520 ASA running 8.2(1) and ASDM 6.2(1). The ASA has been running for 223 days without issue. Today it stopped showing real time status on the Device Dashboard from within ASDM. All of the graphs state "Lost connection to Firewall."I try to manually reconnect but it will not. I have tried on a couple different computers and cannot get the monitoring connection to work.It is a very busy firewall and I will have to schedule for a restart (which I was thinking of doing) even though I do not see a memory issue as per snip below. I don't want to restart unless it is the best option.
Recently our ACS loss connection to AD. Notice following error message (collect from show tech):

However we manage to restore the connection by reset password of the AD account that used in establish connection between AD and ACS.
I need to write a small piece of code in C++ to detect whether the AnyConnect VPN client (v2.5 and above) has established the connection. I recall in Cisco 3000 VPN client when the connection gets established there is a registry value (TunnelEstablished) being set to 1. But with AnyConnect I don't see any changes in the registry. how to detect this in C++?
I want to share PC internet (PPPOE connection) on my linksys wireless router (E3000)Problem : When i directly connect internet wire in router, pppoe connection frequently gets disconnected. So what i wanted was to share my pc internet on router.I have two lan card on windows 7 installed PC, 1st lan card is connected to internet cable and i can access internet on pc, second lancard is connected to wireless router. So basically what i want is to share pc internet ( PPPOE ) on wireless router through DHCP connection type.
My wireless connection for my laptop is showing upas N on Win 7 but G on DIR-655 status page??? I'm confused. Am I getting N speeds/coverage or stuck with G. If G, why? I've tried wiping my wireless network config. on Windows and reestablishing it, but no change. The DIR-655 config page shows my machine connected at 54 Mbps and Type as G
I have the Linksys EA6500 with the latest firmware and have a question regarding the device list connection status.Currently, I am seeing devices in the list that have a connection status of live, but they are not even within my home network. What is the update/cycle time for the device list actually checking connection status of a device? In my situation, it has been 3 days (72 hours) since the two device showing as connected have not been connected to my home network/router. Noticed that this inaccurate connection status for these devices is also contributing to the Device Monitr app not showing correct device connection status info.
Would like to have real-time device connection status if possible. This device list is great way to know when device get connected or disconnected which let me know when my kids get home from school or using game console when should be doing homework.
I was wondering if anyone has seen their VPN User Connection Status Table empty even though you know for sure clients are connected? I connect with my iPhone to the PPTP VPN successfully and it works fine but there's no entry for the connection on the VPN User Connection Status Table. Is that normal? Does the router only collect data about Windows clients?
NVIDIA is blocking my internet connecting on only one of my computers and it has become somewhat of an urgent situation. I need to know how to get rid of it immediately. I have no idea what NVIDIA is. I was using my computer and going on the internet without a problem and 3 hours later this issue came about.
I am currently having trouble with my NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller. Every morning when I turn on my computer, I have no network connections available, even though I am connected to a home network via Ethernet cable. In Device Manager, there is a yellow triangle with an "!" inside beside the following entries:NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller (of course)Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
