NVIDIA is blocking my internet connecting on only one of my computers and it has become somewhat of an urgent situation. I need to know how to get rid of it immediately. I have no idea what NVIDIA is. I was using my computer and going on the internet without a problem and 3 hours later this issue came about.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter getting the cable set up (some new wireless modem that comcast gave us) we were able to connect to the internet once, after putting in the password, but after that the next day our computer would not recognize any networks at all, it's just say no connections are available.I already:-restarted computer,-reset modem (we used to have a router and a cable modem but now only the wireless modem)-rolled-back drivers,-disabled then re-enable driver (did NOT uninstall or reinstall)-opened the computer up, take out the adapter, tryed and got the dust off-unscrewed and rescrewed antenna- tested a laptop, and it had an internet connection - and probably a few other things which I can't rememberLast time on the computer, I uninstalled a few things with revo, ran registry cleaner, browsed internet, and installed a new nvidia driver (after the problems arose). I was able to install a netgear wireless usb adapter (which is how I'm on the internet right now), but it frequently gitters and I can't use the NetGear for very long seeing as how a different computer uses it.

So far so good, except - I cannot get onto the internet.... router etc is working... have reinstalled the nvidia nforce networking controller (as this kept coming up with errors). View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently reformatted an old hdd and i've installed windows xp professional on it and as usual the first thing that came to mind was to go on the internet to download all the drivers i needed. I ran into my first problem, apparently i can't access the internet because i don't have the driver that allows me to use the internet. I've downloaded the same driver that i had on the other hard drive, but it's just not doing anything, i can't create a Local Area Network in my connections. I'm on the same computer as said computer, except different hard drive. Don't have any of the cd's nor do i know which drivers were installed on this hard drive.

when i connect an eth cable to my pc everything says its doing its job righht ie driver up to date etc but i cannot get it to show as connected , all i get is that a cable is unplugged warning .

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE INT with integrated NIC card. The ethernet port isn't recognized though. I have downloaded all the latest drivers and updated my BIOS and everything I found listed about.
I just installed nVidia Nforce drivers for my Asus 750i motherboard, I show I have internet connection, however I can not get windows to pull up a site. TRIED everything reset modem, router, checked all settings. When I pull up the networking system information, it states connection status: disconnected via the Nvdia controll panel. Reset everything back to factory defaults still nothing....IT was working, I intalled I tunes, and then it stopped....I uninstalled Bonjour thinking that it might be the issue....nothing

I can fix this by going to Network Connections, disabling the connection, re-enabling the connection.But why does this happen? I notice the the following:1. Due to the fact that she no longer remembered the password to the computer I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium to gain access to the computer. Unfortunately, while the computer seems to be running perfectly, when I attempt to find network connections my computer not only can't find wireless connections, but it doesn't even allow the option of manually creating a wireless connection under my Internet options.My computer has a built in NVIDIA nforce Network controller listed under my network adapters and when I check its status it states that it is working properly, yet it doesn't detect any wireless networks. In addition to this, I've read online that the wireless indicator light on my computer should switch from orange to blue when turned on, but even with my wireless switched on the light remains orange.I've also clicked the update drivers option on the NVIDIA network controller, but it states that the drivers are current and changes nothing.

The server subnet is attached to a 3750 and connects to an ASA to reach the outside world. Would it be better to setup an ACL on the SVI of the server subnet or on the outbound direction of the outside interface on the ASA.

However by using access control on BT it tells you that you have been blocked which is no good as he cannot feign ignorance and pretend he doesn't know what to do (as his kids will pester him to fix it). He therefore wants to block their access more discreetly (as if the internet was generally timing out or messing up instead of actually displaying they have access control).Is there a way to block an individual's access on the router without blocking everybody either on a timer or manually done each time (thus if there isn't a way of automating it he can at least do this manually each time).

I am aware that the university blocks torrenting which I am totally fine with though when I try to carry out a process such as posting a large entry on Livejournal.com or Dreamwidth.org, it tries to load for a couple seconds and then fails. When in Google Chrome, it says that it's "uploaded 100%" but then I receive "Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.". When using Internet Explorer, it either doesn't load at all or I get the standard "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". When I try to carry out a different process on dreamwidth and livejournal (editing my layout), Chrome tells me "Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset." These issues always happen no matter when I try them.

The only way I can make the internet work again is to power down the printer, and reset the router. But, as soon as I turn the printer on, the internet conenction is lost again. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some trouble with the antivirus software.I had AVG antivirus installed but I thought it was causing some problems.So I unistalled it and downloaded a trial version of Bitdefender.Got it installed and found out I can't browse the web via Firefox. So I was trying to go through all the settings in Bitdef. but no luck.Uninstalled BD, rebooted the comp, still no internet. I did clean the registry and spyware as well.But the weird bit is that somehow I can browse the internet using old IE8 (64bit only. 32bit is not working?).I was also trying to re-install AVG but it could not complete as the connection with their server was blocked.It seems like something is blocking everything apart from 64bit ver. of IE8.

I have gone into the web based set up page and under access controls have enabled and added this computer to the list. I have blocked http, https, ftp and nntp. I don't know if this is enough. The reason I am asking is that I am in Iraq right now and I want to allow my fellow team members access to the wireless for using viber on their iphones but one cat even though he has hardwired internet wants to continuously suck off my wireless for his computer to download stuff since I paid for faster internet. I am trying to do this quietly and still allow him access to the shared drives on the LAN. Sooooo If I block him just outright will he still have access to the drives or do I need to pick and choose like I did above and if I need to pick and choose did I miss anything other then pop3 email and imap?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating the firmware of my WRVS4400N from V 2.0.1.3 to 2.0.2.1 all traffic was blocked for all machines, even some not included in the list of PCs. As the log was showing that all traffic was blocked by access policies, I disabled the only rule I had (blocking access to some sites to some MAC address list) and everything worked fine.I tried creating a new, simpler rule but after activation it blocked again all traffic for all the LAN.After many trials, I decided to roll back to the previous V2.0.1.3 which solved this problem.

I have a small network running in my language academy which is causing me some issues. We have a server running Win XP with two folders, one for the teachers which is password protected and the other for the students which doesn't require a password. Up until two days it has been working well. However now the server keeps disconnecting from the internet quite randomly which stops us from connecting to the shared folders.
I've noticed that a caution icon appears next to the ethernet icon in the task bar when this problems occurs on the server. I have tried to right click and choose the repair option but it tell me that it cannot resolve the ip address. In some cases rebooting the server resolves the issues but in many case it doesn't.
I have an RV110W running firmware version 1.0.1.6 and I am trying to figure out how to enable website blocking in the Internet Access Policy screen. The Add Row button is grayed out in that section, as are the associated checkboxes.
Is there something else one needs to do to enable this feature?
If I set a name etc. at the top, and click save, it tells me "You must at least set a website blocking or PCs rule," so it is not the case that one has to save some information before continuing!
My company has a peer to peer network of 10 personal computers without a server. Operating systems from Windows XP to Vista. I've recently installed a Cisco RV120W Wireless-N VPN Firewall. It's configured in DHCP Server Mode with printers/copiers that have static IPs below the DHCP range.
I'm having a problem with certain stations being used for personal networking, shopping, etc. during business hours. Consequently I would like to limit internet access on these stations. However, some internet access is required because of online database software that's an integral part of our business. I've been reading in the Administration Guide about URL Blocking. Would it be possible to give static IPs to certain stations and then limit their internet access to 1 or 2 specific websites?
FYI, I've read about the Trusted Domains and Blocked Keywords but cannot quite understand how to parley this into the solution I need.
We have a home use WRT160N router linked to a PC desktop and two wireless laptops, Yesterday bought a new I-Phone, but could not link to my network (entered the security key many times). I accidentally connected to computer fix it firm that linked to my PC and wanted a large sum to fix the problem which he said was due to large number of temp?? internet files and once removed he would change the IP address of the desktop computer? Is this diagnosis logical and can I do it on my own. The router is definetely working - both laptops access the internet and I was recently able to hook up a Samsung Blu-Ray player using the same security code I used for the I-Phone.
