View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys WRT610N wireless system with WPA-PSK security and this works fine with several computers but now one computer detects the wireless security as WEP and can thus not connect to the router. I have tried to manually connect to the router with correct security WPA-Personal (TKIP) and correct password but then the computer says "settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network".How can I get the computer to detect the correct security? The computer is running Windows 7 home premium.

The wireless VAP's are on the same VLAN, and intervlan routing works. Airplay works if the iDevice and the Apple TV are connected to the same access point, but not across the network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to install an HP Photosmart 7515 eAll-in-One Printer. Works OK in the USB "tethered" mode, as a one-computer printer only. It will not install as a wi-fi device, probable reason being the settings on my (wireless) router, according to the printer's Wireless Network Test Results sheet. I suspect that the firmware on it (3.0.02) is obsolete. What is the latest firmware version for the WRT160N ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new Cisco 881w router (last Friday).I have configured the 'wired' part of the router with little trouble, but the wireless side is proving a little challenging.I have read a number of posts complaining about the firmware version installed on my device being very buggy. The version of the firmware on the wired part is: Version 15.0(1)M8, however, the firmware on the wireless side seems to be: Version 12.4(21a)JA1 - the version reported as buggy. The former has a version date of 2012, with the latter being 2009.I have tried to download a newer version, but the site is asking me to provide a support contract.I wouldn't mind buying a support contract if the thing worked in the first place and I was trying to add some feature after it had been working for a while.

I have the 0/0 accepting a DHCP from the ISP then I have 0/1 going to a switch and hosting a dhcp server.
Where I have an issue is:
A) Finding a way to turn on the wireless and make it use the same DHCP as wired and setting up a user name/wep password
B) Turning on the GUI that is supposed to be embedded on this.
C) Finding a way to make the DNS point to the default gateway so that I don't have to set the address everytime we move the box.
Here is my current configuration, and with it I can get onto the wired network and get to the internet.
Current configuration : 4712 bytes

I recently updated to Windows 8, and before updating, Windows 8 setup recognized the drivers for my Belkin G Desktop wireless card. After installation, my system was able to connect to my wi-fi network without any problem. However, due to the power going off at my home, an automatic update on Windows 8 got interrupted.
Since then, it has caused a ton of problems, which caused me to finally re-install Windows 8. Now, however, it does not recognize the wireless card and its drivers, and does not let me install from the CD, or through any alternate sources ?

I am thinking of buying a TL-WDR3600, but just need to know the answer to the question below. Can anyone confirm if the TL-WDR3600 supports NAT Loopback functionality?
Just set-up a new X2000, loaded latest firmware 2.0.01, configured it via the web UI ('Browser based utility' as per the manual). Connected OK to my ADSL broadband by O2. Configured wireless, everything OK. Funny it doesn't need a user name, only a password, my prevoius WAG160N could be configured for both. Now I want to configure the Parental Controls, BUT apart from my computer name and an Android phone name, all I see in the Target Device ADD button pop-up are a list of repeated 'Network Device'. There seems no way to be able to distinguish which is which device (mix of XP & Win 7 PC's and HP Printer through a separate switch), as it does not show IP address or MAC.
I thought I may have better luck with the Cisco Connect software (which I didn't use to set-up the router). I downloaded the latest version 1.4.11194.0, and ran this on another computer with wireless. Apart from reconfiguring my static IP address to DHCP, and then connecting through DHCP, the software said it could not configure my router. So it never gets to a point where it installs any program on the computer so that I can configure Parental Controls. How do I get the router to show ALL the computer names in the list rather than 'Network Device' or is there a way to distinguish which 'Network Device' is which computer?
