View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an old DOS box running MS workgroup add-on 3.11. This has been running for years with no issues until I recently installed a new Win 2008 server which does not support Netbeui. I am trying to install TCP/IP but have had no luck finding the 16 bit version of tcp. I can succesfully add the 32 bit stack, but the nic doesn't like it. Has any ever run into this problem before?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a dedicated server "out there".They dont provide any OS media to install and use your licence key (obviously).I have a licence and my own DVD/ISO. I can use that, its not a problem. The issue is, I do have IP KVM/IPMI (I think that is what its called) and I can install the OS through that and mount the ISO. Problem is that it will take literally forever to install because my net connection is very poor (< 1MB upload)Is there a faster way to install Windows over the web in this situation? How can I make it "better" in this circumstance?now should I ever get the OS installed in this way, in future if I need to unfortunately wipe and start again, how can I make it a more quick process?

I recently re-installed Vista and while attempting to set up a wired network, I can't locate the wizard.I only need to set up two PCs. Is there a way to set up a network without it or is there a way to re-install the wizard. My service is Xfinity cable internet, a net gear router (5 port 10/100 Mbps FS605 v3).My pc is a HP s3700y 32-bit, the other is a dell running XP pro. I used to have these two networked when I was with Att, but with this new service I wanted to wipe the HP clean. Now I can't find the wizard, all equipment is operating properly.Have ran several checks.
