Remotely Login On WAN (VPN) PC From Non-WAN Pc?
Apr 9, 2011Act I m working in a telecomm company. Where some telecomm monitoring software running on WAN fixed IP. Now i want to remotely use that PC with another PC having normal another internet connection. Is it possible? My one friend tried it using TEAM VIEWER by setting proxy address in team viewer but that proxy address is not working now.

Devices used:
Telstra USB 4g Sierra 320U Aircard
Netcomm NB16WV - ADSL2+ Wireless N Modem Router with VoIP
TECHview 4 Channel H.264 Camera Kit Model No QV -3032
The Goal:We're trying to view the DVR over the wireless 4g network. We have the 320U Aircard connected to the Router and we're able to access the internet. We have DDNS set up in the router for the host name [URL]. I have gone into the Router with the IP address "192.168.1.1" and configured the device, we forwarded ports 80, 9000 and 18004 to the IP address of the DVR "192.168.1.103" And we also added our dynDNS details in the router. I set the the DVR with a static IP address to "192.168.1.103" and rebooted everything. I was then able to access the DVR via a Local Connection. But when I tried to access the DVR via "Redxdvr.dyndns.org" It would not connect.

Jan 4, 2012in another location from my desktop that is only using my wired network, or do they both have to have wireless? I say this cause under those conditions i noticed that with my net book next to my desktop i am able to share files with one being wired and the other being wireless.

Aug 25, 2012how to actually run a .bat on a remote computer through ssh/sftp in a GUI. My problem is that I havent been using command lines for 15 years, I litterally have never used a command line besides using stuff like ipconfig in command prompt.I have a ssh server on my home server using FreeSSH'd and The only ssh program i can find with a gui is winscp. Though theres no option to connect through ssh everyone says it does and theres even options for it.
Though when i try to run the bat file i get this error"Current sftp -3 session does not support command you request" then something about a seperate shell session. if i click ok it goes down to starting the session then just sits there and says host is not communication for more than 15 seconds still waiting and only option is to abort.

Sep 19, 2011I've just setup my router and dvr system. I have my DVR wired to a Linksys E1200 router. At home view by using url....it then prompts me to log in and voila I can view. I tried setting up the port forwarding although I'm not sure if I did it correctly or not. I got onto my routers webpage. Went to "applications & gaming" Named port, selected both, put in DVR's ip address and clicked save. Came to work and tried to view it and I just get the "cannot load webpage" page.

Unable To Connect Netbook To The Internet?
Jul 1, 2011So my fiance picked up a netbook and we can't get it to connect to my wireless network. It is an XP computer with Service Pack 3. It sees the wireless network, which other devices can connect to with no problem but when I try to connect it I get a limited or no connectivity error. I get the same thing when I try to plug the computer directly into the router. Occasionally it will just connect to the wireless, but it still won't connect to the router, let alone the the internet. Currently it is not connected to anything.

Apr 15, 2011I have a netgear n300 WNR2000 v.2 router (which has the latest fireware as of today) and have connected to it both wirelessly and wired with my netbook. My netbook runs windows xp with sp3 and has all the lastest updates. My 2 pc's on the network are both wired and running windows 7 (both up to date with updates). I had no connectivity issues with any computers on any network ever until I got the pc's with windows 7. The 2 pc's see each other fine and they have zero issues as far as networking goes. Neither pc will interact with the xp netbook, and the netbook will not interact with either pc. I installed the LLTD on the netbook, which did allow the computers to "see" each other on the network maps. However, the computers still do not interact and say they are not on the network, even when trying to use the icon provided from the map to connect. In command prompts, all pc's and the netbook are able to ping each other with ip addresses. Only the windows 7 pcs are able to ping using net names though. When locating via "net view 192.168...", all the computers see each other and even display the appropriate names for the computers. However, using "net view pcname...", again nothing.I have selected netbios over tcp/ip, made sure the workgroup names match on all computers. The "net names" command showed no names saved in the cache.

Compaq Netbook Not Connecting To Internet
Apr 16, 2011I have a Compag Netbook (running Windows XP Home Edition) which will not connect to the internet, however the wireless icon in the tray is telling me that the signal strength is good and that i am connected but i cannot access any webpage. I know it is probably not the modem as we have another netbook in the house which connects no problem, as does our laptop so i'm figuring its something to do with the Compaq netbook??
I've had a look at some of the other queries regarding this on the site and note that you recommend 'ipconfig /all' results so you can gain a better understanding of what the problem might be, so here it is below

Set Up Wireless Network Through Aspire One Netbook
Jun 16, 2011My family and I are traveling abroad for a three week vacation (yay!). The hotel we are staying in (and as is probably the case with future hotels) does not have a WiFi connection. However, there is one ethernet port/cable that we have connected an Acer Aspire One netbook to, and it is currently connected with pretty good speeds. What I'm wondering is, is there any way to set up a secured wireless network through the netbook and the hard port connection? It seems that Windows XP Network Set Up Wizard is really not a whole bunch of guidance on this particular subject.

Nov 22, 2012I've got a netbook (Acer Aspire One) with XP SP3 on it. It connects to my wireless network (so it says), but it won't get onto the internet. I can ping 127.0.0.1, but it won't ping my router. When I do ipconfig /release > ipconfig /flushdns > ipconfig /renew, it hangs up on the renew portion telling me that the DHCP server timed out. The exact error message is:"An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection 2 : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected"I've checked the TCP/IP settings, it's set to automatically obtain and IP address and DNS servers. I've checked the DHCP service and that's running. The internet works when it's wired. I've used the "repair" function when right-clicking the wireless icon and it tells me it can't renew my IP address. I made an ipconfig /all when it was connected and this is what it came up with:

I have been looking around and into using the Dell Client Configuration Utility and also the OpenManage tool although I'm not too sure if they would work for us due to us using BitLocker.
