I cannot access the internet from my computer. The message says: runtime error program:c/windows/networkdiagnostic/xpnetdiag.exe I did two things today:
1. instal avast anti-virus (which I have since uninstalled)
2. connected my iphone 4 to my computer (perhaps for the first time)
There is no problem with the actual internet connection and there are no other problems with my computer.
After weeks of having internet problems, the internet is up and running again.for everyone other than me. i can connect via cable, which i am doing now, but cannot connect to wifi. my landlord had attempted to change the key at some point, so i had typed in that one, but now i cannot seem to get rid of it. the original key seems to work for the 2 other computers in the house that have wifi (both MACs) but not for me. when i attempt to connect i type in the original key and it "thinks about it" and says that it will be automatically connected, but never connects. i get no message saying that any information is wrong or the key is wrong.but when i go into the advanced settings and go into the properties of this wifi, it seems to remember a shorter key.

When users complain, I'll log into the ASA via ASDM and watch the logs, I don't see anything get logged while they attempt to connect (AnyConnect). I have pings enabled from the outside and that's not even getting logged when pinging to the ASA. However, as soon as I run a ping, sourcing from the ASA to a public IP, everything works!?! It's like the 'outside' port becomes inactive when not in use, but 'wakes up' as soon as outbound traffic is detected.I have 5 public IP addresses from our router (3 VoIP, 1 Web Server, 1 ASA). I am working on implementing ACS appliances. All working ok, until I try to add an attribute to the Shell profile (priv-lvl = 15). When I do this, the runtime process shutsdown (on both primary and secondary devices) and no further device authentications can be made. I can reinitialise the database without issue at the moment, but I'd like to know what causes this and how to prevent from happening in the future - when the database will becoem much more critical.Do I need to raise a TAC case?
On our CiscoWorks 2000 installation, running on Solaris with LMS3.2 and RME4.3.1, we noticed a few weeks ago, that the job "Inventory Collection" needs more and more time to finish. At the moment the job execution time is as high as 8 hours, compared to 3 hours before. When we look at the network traffic during job execution, we see after the collection phase (~3h) several hours with no traffic together with a very high CPU load. I mean to remember that this job used to complete around 15 minutes after data collection phase. Restarting the application and rebooting the system didn't work.When we look in to the IC_Server.log, we find devices with a completion time of over 20'000 seconds. Increasing from day to day. [code]
Affected devices are Cisco Nexus 5548P. We tried to delete/add these devices. That works for a few days, then the runtime starts to increase again.
Are we hitting a bug? And is it possible, as a workaround, to exclude devices from only the Inventory Collection?
Unable to connect to the Internet. Connected from modem to router to computer. Called my ISP and told to connect directly to modem. Still unable to connect to Internet getting 169 error. What else should I try to get online?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIt's not on one device, and it doesn't matter if you are connected wirelessly or by cable. It also doesn't matter what internet browser you use. I would guesstimate that every 5-15 mins the dsl broadband just gives and all internet goes down for probably 1-3 mins at a time.I honestly have no idea. I'm using a 2Wire, just what AT&T gave me. I'm guessing it's either the dsl filter, or the actually router itself, i'm just not sure how to go about troubleshooting and figuring out the root of the problem.

I have a WRT160N that I used just once after purchase (my ISP gave me a wireless router). I could not remember the PW, so I reset. Problem:Yesterday, I installed VMware Player and XP Mode to play a legacy game; also, some Automatic Windows Updates were applied.
After the Windows Update's all done, it prompted me to restart every 10 or 15 minutes, even after I chose Postpone 4 Hours every time. Probably one hour after, I closed VMware Player and restarted Windows.
Later, I found my Internet didn't work anymore.
Troubleshooting Attempts:I had already did the ip stack reset, removed VMware Player, restarted the wireless router, restarted WiFi, reenable WiFi adapter, reinstalled Wireless driver with latest driver, System Restore to the day before (System Restore said it didn't work, but Windows reboot said it has been restored), disabled the Internet sharing (I didn't turn it on, I guess some program like VMware did it), removed Stored Wireless Network Profiles and added later.Windows 7's network troubleshooting found no problem.
Current Situation:The home wireless network is working properly for sure, because both my phone and others' laptops connect to the same WiFi and work properly.I installed Ubuntu 12 on this same laptop and connected to same WiFi to go online.WiFi is shown to be connected and working. I can ping and connect to the wireless router (192.168.2.1), but unable to go to any website.

At startup we get a message from Norton A/Virus 2003 - Symantec cannot scan your email address, because your network is not properly configured.
Canceling this message and trying to connect to the internet using the Dial –up connection gives this message:
Error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established. You might need to change the network settings for this connection.
I have checked the Network Properties as per Windows Troubleshooter, but cannot find anything unusual.
I have also ran the Dell Diagnostic CD, but these tests have are all clear.
The Windows firewall is also disabled
When I try to enable it I get the error message –
Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service?
After clicking on “Yes” A dialog box shows “Starting the Windows ICS” Then comes the message “Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall /ICS Services”
so i can not connect to net on my desktop but my wifi works fine, the error is the realtek PCIe FE family controller (code 31) i have tried updating the drivers but nothing i have verizion fios.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I'm having issues with connecting to the internet. I'm connected to the network but cannot browse the internet or play online games. Currently I'm on my housemates laptop. None of my house mates are having issues. My computer is a laptop and connects to the internet wirelessly. I don't have a cable to try connecting straight to the router unfortunately.
Last night my internet provider (Time Warner) did an update that caused all their networks to change their names/passwords. My house mate got the new name and password and when I used it it worked fine for several hours. While in the middle of a game, my internet and my housemates internet stopped working for no reason. Theirs are fine now, mine is still having issues.
I have reset the router, restarted my computer, and looked into some DNS stuff. I've done the commands ipconfig /flushdns along with ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. I also changed my preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 for my Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4) and that did not work. (edit: also tried 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220. No luck there either)
I've tried turning off my firewalls and connecting but that doesn't work.
I can connect to a 877 router via SSL, however when I click on “Start” for Tunnel connection a separate window is opened with a “Website not found 404 error”.

But if I give them 5 or 10 minutes they will come. Imkmow that this isn't a normal up issue with sites servers actually being down. I thought it was a Google chrome issue, but it's been happening on safari. It hasn't started till we switched our Internet plan to 3mbps and a new router.

regular translation creation failed for protocol 50 src:inside:192.168.1.167 dst:outside:xx.xxx.x.64
The site to site addressing is not relevant, I'm not trying to pass traffic over the site-to-site, but rather create a new vpn from inside client to outside external vpn box that's not under my control. The client is able to create a connection, but no traffic is passed, when I try to ping / rdp, the above message is returned to me. If I add the rule static(inside, outside) interface 192.168.1.167 netmask 255.255.255.255 then it works, everything works, but ONLY from this computer.
Been Google for hours, but with no result as of yet.
I have Comcast cable internet and a wireless router. It has been working fine for months. Today, I can connect to the network but it says "No Internet connection." I have tried restarting the modem, router, and my computer. The strange thing is that the connection lights on the modem and router are lit as usual.
