AOL Dial-up Interfering With Wireless Adapter?

Oct 28, 2011

I have a dlink DWA130 wireless N adapter connected and working. But AOL Dialup takes over. When disconnecting the phone line for AOL, there is no internet connection. The adapter is connected and has great signal strength. What can I do to make the wireless adapter work independently from AOL dialup?

I recently bought a Polk 6000 soundbar that has a wireless subwoofer.Whenever I try to stream netflix wirelessly to my tv I keep losing the netflix service. I had no problems with streaming before connecting the soundbar.I have been reading customer reviews on the soundbar and many have suggested to bring up the router's configuration screen and change the channel setting. Currently both are set for channel one. I have uverse 12mbps. How would I go about changing the channel? and will this cause any problems with my other wireless devices in the house?

Linksys Wireless Router :: E3000 Interfering With Bluetooth Keyboard?

Jul 9, 2011

I've hot connection issues with my wireless Mac keyboard for a while. I've brought the computer in to Apple to see if the problem lied there. They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

Network Connection On One PC Interfering Rest?

Oct 11, 2011

Whenever I connect to my router via wireless, It slows the network to a crawl, and I can't view websites through the same PC.Now, It only started a few days ago, and I can't find the root cause. This happens in Windows 7, however, it works in Linux with the same PC, in the same location, so it can't be the wireless card going bad. When the computer isn't online, however, everyone other connection, including smartphones, my wife's laptop, PS3, all work. I've tried updating the drivers, flushing the dns, resetting the winsock, ip release/renew, haven't found anything that works.

I've also run numerous virus scans, malware, spyware, and registry scans. The only thing I can think of is something is trying to send a lot of traffic to the router. So far, Malware Bytes, Avast, AVG, and Spybot haven't picked up anything, and I can't find the traffic leak via Windows Firewall or Comodo.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Wireless Card: Asus USB-N13 using Ralink drivers

The only thing I haven't tried is connecting through my ethernet card, but it's not feasible at the moment to move the desktop to the router.

Cisco WAN :: Catalyst 3560 L3 Switch / One-to-One NAT Interfering With Site-to-Site VPN

Mar 24, 2013

Relevant Topology:

(Corporate LAN: 10.10.0.0/21) > (Catalyst 3560 L3 Switch: # ip routing) > (10.10.255.253/30) > (Cisco 1921: edge router) > ISP

One-to-One NAT statement in edge router:

#  ip nat inside source static <inside local ip> <inside global ip>

Packets destined for our branch offices across IPsec Site-to-Site VPNs, originating from the above inside local IP, change their source address (at the edge router) to the above inside global IP, forwarding traffic destined to branch to our ISPs gateway, instead of over the VPN tunnel.

After establishing a remote IPsec VPN connection, via Cisco VPN Client, I am able to ping the inside local IP specified above with no issues (the router sends the traffic sourced from the above inside local IP before applying the One-to-One NAT statement).

Relevant configuration:

Remote VPN ACL:
ip access-list extended REMOTE_VPN_ACL
permit ip <ip local pool subnet> 0.0.0.255 any
permit ip 10.10.0.0 0.0.7.255 any
 Site-to-Site VPN ACL:
ip access-list extended SITE-TO-SITE_VPN_ACL
permit ip 10.10.0.0 0.0.7.255 10.10.12.0 0.0.0.255
permit ip 10.10.12.0 0.0.0.255 10.10.0.0 0.0.7.255

[code]....

If I remove the One-to-One NAT statement, both the Site-to-Site VPN and Remote VPNs can communicate with the relevant inside local IP.  With the One-to-One NAT statement active, only the Remote VPN can communicate successfully (as the NAT statement change the packets source address to the inside global IP).

Why is the One-to-One NAT statement only applying to packets destined for our Site-to-Site VPNs, and what is the appropriate way to prevent this?

Wireless :: Connect To Dial-up Using Router?

Jan 18, 2011

I have an HP desktop and an Acer Aspire 16" laptop that I have had for 2 years. The laptop has built in WiFi, but luckily has a 56k modem also. Now for the problem....Saturday my husband bought me a wireless Velocity Cruz 7" color Tablet. I has been told in the past that all I had to do was buy a wireless router and plug it into the phone line. But today I called both Radio Shack and Office Max and asked if you could hook up a wireless router to dialup and both places told me absolutely not because dialup was too slow.

The servers are calibrated to allow this, however I'm not sure how to connect from my end. I have an assignment where I have to dial into both a Windows server and an Ubuntu server to conduct some tasks (the actual process of dialing into the servers is not part of the assignment). I've been given the username, password, IP address, and protocol for each server. However, I cannot figure out how to use these to "dial into" them.I am running Windows 7 on a wireless connection

Dial Up Keeps On Disconnecting?

Apr 18, 2012

My HP home vista keeps on disconnecting.I use dial up. The IPS service provider said to plug the computer directly into the phone jack without using the splitter which is a plug that has two openings(1 for phone and 1 for the computer in the event that the splitter is bad) I tried this and as soon as a connection is made about a minute later I'm disconnected again. Any ideas as how to resolve this problem? Also I was told that if I have DSL that this wouldn't be a problem

I PC running Windows XP connects every time, the other running Windows 2000 connects only sometimes. Like this morning it connected on the third attempt and I was able to move a lot of files. When I tried again later I got five attempts and then "no answer".

ADSL Dial-up From PC Or Router

Mar 22, 2011

The PPPoE connection can be successfully established only if the PC dials up, but not if the router replaces the PC to do so.Both the PC and the router are identically configured for this purpose, i.e. using the same ADSL dial-up account(usr/passwd pair). As a whole, we can exclude any wrong configuration on the router itself.

Cisco :: CME Matching The Dial Peer?

Dec 7, 2012

I believe that the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express matches the outbound VoIP dial peer digit-by-digit, because:

1. when using the debug command it shows how it works digit-by-digit till it match a pattern

2. It says in the study guide ( If a match is found, the router immediately processes the call - chapter 6) so I understand its not en bloc

Bridging LAN And Dial Up Connections On Windows 7?

Jan 10, 2013

I had a Sony Viao with Windows Vista for some years and I managed to create a bridge using the Sony Viao laptop and my o2 usb modem. That was some time ago and now I have a new laptop with Windows 7 ?I have to mention that I do not have wireless connections. I have an o2 modem and an ethernet cable. They are the only two connections that show up in my internet connections. The LAN connection has an image of a ethernet cable connection while the o2 connection has an image of a phone.whenever I watch youtube walk throughs it never looks like my set up. Ive tried everything over and over. Turning off UAC, turning on sharing but nothing has worked yet. When I just select the LAN connection and right click there is an option to Bridge. When I right click the o2 connection its not there. When I select both the option isnt there either.

Generate Dial Tone Over Ethernet NIC?

Dec 9, 2011

Basically i need to test to see where the telephone lines are terminated, because when they where built into the walls the used standard cat5e cable to terminate it to an RJ-11 jack but over in the wiring panel it (i assume it is anyways) terminates to an RJ-45 jack but im not sure if this is really the cable for the telephone or something else, so i have a phone connected to the wall jack and a computer on this end and i would like to send a dial tone or any tone in general that the phone can pickup.

Cisco :: Faster Dial-peer Time-out?

Feb 14, 2013

I have another odd issue (I get those alot) I have an asterisk box that moves around between 2 IPs, thus the dial-peers are unpredictable as to their target IP. They work as the dial-peer will eventually (after 1 min) time out and go to the other dial peer, but waiting 1 min sucks, and it's a tiny network, 5-10 sec would be WAY more than enouph. Does anyone know off hand a way to get them to time out faster?
