Apr 13, 2013I just bought a Netgear Router WNR 2000 v3 and installed it. I got inside the router and could set up a Network Name and security key. However, I can not access the internet when I chose a security password using WPA 2, WPA-PSK + WPA 2 PSK, or WPA/WPA 2. It only accesses the internet when I chose None.( no secured ).At this time, my network is unsecured because there isn't way I can access the internet when I create a security key using the 3 options the router offers.
Note : I have tried the 3 security options creating a key number and my computer connect to the wireless network but don't access the internet. It only access the internet when I select None ( no secured )

Dec 24, 2011I'm new to IT, and have been put in charge of managing our servers hile my boss is on vacation.We currently have a Sonicwall Network Security Appliance that handles our Firewall/VPN and have web content filtering set in place.I have a user who belongs to 2 CFS policy groups that we have set up. I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.

Oct 29, 2012Having an issue with a Cisco Linksys E1500 on a home network. The device has a feature to provide a guest wireless network but the guest network can't get to the internet. A wired connection is fine, as is the normal wireless network but not the guest. The cheesy thing is, that it doesn't list an option for what type of wireless security protocol you want on the guest network. I'm assuming that it uses the same security protocol that the normal wireless network uses, but who knowsEspecially weird is that it asks you what password you want on the guest network but then the guest network show to be insecure when you try to connectthought maybe it was something funky with some of my configurations so I went ahead and factory defaulted it and just set it up with an insecure network for both the normal and guest networks. This didn't solve it. The guest network still couldn't get to the internet. In fact, the guest network can't even ping the router.

Feb 19, 2013I still can't access ASDM. I deleted the old ASDM versions and upgraded to ASDM 7.1(1)52 which shows compatible with ASA 8.2(1). I'm on an inside NAT address connected to Eth 0/5, 192.168.1.5/24. I can ping and SSH to the FW but no ASDM. Following is passing traffic and everything else works just fine.

Network Security Key Mismatch For Every Network?
Jan 21, 2013I had my computer in the shop for some relevant work - the system32 folder was corrupt.After this, i could not use any wifi networks. I have the correct password for two networks and get the "Network Security Key Mismatch" error whenever i try to connect.I cannot change the network settings in "manage wireless networks" because of:
1. a local wifi jammer
2. my adapter drivers not always working [URL]
3. the repairs done to my computer (i think... no networks show when the device is off and drivers working)
I also cannot alter the current router settings for either of the networks so resetting the password or "removing all wirless settings"

Dec 15, 2011I am running a Kodak all in one printer through a Billion 7800n router. The desktop computer running Vista is hard wired and the portable running Windows 7 is wireless to the router. The Printer is hard wired to the Billion router. Where are running Norton 360 on both computers. Everything was running fine until two weeks ago and we get the error that the firewall is stopping access from both computers. I have tried turning off Norton but no effect so I assume it has something to do with the firewall on the Billion 7800n router? Why stop now after several weeks of working fine after setup?

Nov 6, 2012I have an ASA firewall and I have never configured an FTP server for a large scale network (well large in my opinion). I want to ensure we have the highest level of security available for the FTP and to limit only the specific users designated by an ACL. Would SFTP be the best available option for security measures? Should I only use Passive FTP and what range of ports above 1023 should I open for only 1 or 2 FTP clients at a time? Also if I use Passive mode do I need to use protocol inspection for FTP?Also, Currently I'm unsure of what files need to be accessed on our network but should the SFTP Server always only be installed within the DMZ?

Feb 9, 2011We have NAC 4.0.5 and windows active directory domain the clients log on to the client to access the network with their domain credentials and they used to get the "Certificate is issued from an untrusted." until I installed the url.. certificate to the local certificate store.
I seem to have done something on the NAC manager that messed up something, cause now the client considers the certificate issued from a trusted source, BUT a warning stating that the name on the certificate does not match the name.

But using remote VPN client we are able to get RDP from officeshore location but not able to access RDP from client location. Is there any additional changes required ?
