Belkin Routers :: Is F9k1102 V3000 Windows 8 Compatible?
Jan 16, 2013
I just bought this router for my new windows 8 desk top computer. I will be connecting it to the computer via ethernet. The box does not say that this is windows 8 compatible. Will this work with my new computer?
I'm a bit confused about Belkin's firmware upgrading. I lookup the firmware for my router N600 (F9K1102v1) and see that I've got options for v1, v2, and v3. Is it possible to upgrade my router to the v3 firmware? I'm guessing that I can't because its a v1 router, but just thought I'd ask just in case I can. Don't want to brick the thing.
When I set up the Belkin F9K1102 as an access point I can no longer access it via the ip-address and it does not accept the new ip-address I've given it, but takes the ip-address 192.168.2.254, while my network is on the 192.168.1.XXX address series. The only way I can do this is by manually given the router a new address, then manually turn of the DHCP- server and finally move the internet cable from the WAN port to one of the LAN ports - but then the LED-indicator on the router is blinkin red.
I have an n600 ( F9K1102 v1 , firmware 1.00.09 ). My ISP provides my main router for my network, but I want to use the N600 as an access point, I have activated the "Use as Access Point" feature. Is it possible to still utilize the Guest Access feature in this case?
we just got a computer with windows 8 and can't get it to hook up wirelessly. it recognizes the network but will not connect to the internet wirelessly.
I've been using Belkin modem/routers/network adapters for years and am quite happy with my current Belkin N+ wireless router (model F5D8635-4 ver1). I am in the process of upgrading my home broadband from ADSL to ADSL2+ which, in theory will increase my download speed from approx 5mbps to 17mbps. I have been offered a free Thomson (Technicolor TG582n Pro) router. This will involve reconfiguring the current set up with all the devices currently connected to my network. Not a big deal but will there be any benefit over my existing Belkin set up?
I was told by my Internet company that my router may not be compatible with my new modem (from them). I have a Basic Wireless Router. Model f7d1301. Purchased about 1 year ago. I was told that Belkin designs it this way so we have to buy a new one regularly. But 1 year!!! That is terrible. Is it true? Is this older router no good? I have purchased a new one and it seems to,have solved the problem. It does take me very happy that I already have to buy a new one....
My wireless internet company recently installed a Belkin N600 router. I had a Linksys G router with a Linksys Booster in the past. The design of my house makes my signal difficult to get in multiple locations which is the reason i had the booster. My question... Is the linksys booster compatible with the belkin router or am I going to have to by a belkin booster to increase my coverage area
If the Belkin Surf N300 (Model No F9J1002v1) is CN21/ADSL2 compatible? It doesn't mention it on the box and try as I may I can't get through to tech support UK as I keep getting cut off and the J model router is not recognized on the UK website only the K
My new Windows 8 computer is not wi-fi capable, I bought the adapter but it only works with Windows 7, they have a link to upgrade to Windows 8 but I don't know where to go from there.
This device used to work fine with my laptop but it has suddenly stopped working. I have tried turning it off and on again and unplugging it and trying it in different ports but to no avail. Do I need a new device driver? If so, where can I get one that is trustworthy and free,
I installed Windows 8 yesterday. Now, when I start my computer, I received a System Error message for Belkin, although the router and Router Monitor appear to be working fine. I have monitor version 4.0.6.24160 and firmware version 1.10.16 (2012/6/12 1:10:17). My router is F9K1103 v1 (01A).
F7D4402nt play 600. i updated to windows 8 and the supplied software will not work. The software was very easy for a setup. Now i must do the things the hard way. a completely manual setup. it is a bit of a chore.
I have several laptops that work fine with my wireless router. I have a new laptop with Windows7 and it will not stay connected for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Are there any issues with this router and Windows7?
Ever since I upgraded my PC to Windows 8 the internet has been SLOW... It works fine still on my tablets and PS3. Looking online they seem to say I need new drivers? Not sure what to do.
after going through the several troubleshooting steps (un/reinstall driver; download a fresh setup; comb thru all network and internet settings; multiple cold re-boots; system restore etc.) While the adapter shows up in device mgr, only getting error msg that there is a problem with the driver.Did try several ways to find out where the hang-up was, and only get the driver error.Using Windows7 Home Premium-all updated. Was using my ethernet to my LAN previously.
I replaced a similar router from a competing company with the AC900 N900 router. I open Live Mail (IMAP) and keep it open during the day. Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.
I have a desktop PC running WinXP I recently got a laptop running Win7. I Set both of them up with the same workgroup name, and now my XP machine can see and access my laptop, but my lap can't see my XP machine. If it makes any difference, I can remote into my XP from my laptop, but that's not what I need.
I am new to this forum. I ve been googling for CCNA explorer for last one month. All the versions that i download is not compatible with windows 7 and works fine with windows XP. Does anyone know if cisco has released any new version that is compatible with Windows 7?
My onboard network adaptor card died so I bought a Rock USB lan Card RJ-45. It worked for 30 mins then just stopped working. When I look at the device driver details, it recognises it, and also says the drivers are up to date. When i try to connect to the modem for internet connection it says ....There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection 4 adaptor. A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken....Ichanged the cable, still same message, I went to the internet on another computer to download drivers but it still says drivers are up to date. My system is a hp p6380a home pc. Running windows 7 64 bit. Im thinking that it might be a faulty usb card but when I spoke to a guy at a computer shop he said that they are not compatible with 64bit computers. Ok then why did it work for 30 - 1hour.
I have just spent an hour with TalkTalk technical support being told that the new router they supplied today can only be used wirelessly for Vista or W7 but not both together. Am i going mad. Both connect to the router but my Vista laptop will not connect to the internet and will only show as an unidentified public network.
I can't find a good network driver for my old HP a1007w PC. It has a rtl8201cl internal card. I have tried several drivers and nothing works. Where to get the correnct Win 7 64 bit driver for a rtl8201cl ethernet card or give me a compatable ethernet card that I can search for a different driver.
