It seem like 2 or 3 times a day my router software says your router will reset in 3 minutes or something like that. How do I prevent this? I do have self healing turned on for 4 a.m. each morning but it resets at other times. I own a belkin n750db f9k1103 v.1

This morning I got a message on my computer saying I needed to perform an update on the router. I did it and now the router won't turn back on. I've tried all of the easy stuff...unpluging power, unpugging internet, unpluging power to the modem that feeds into the router, pressed the reset button. I've even tried other electrical oputlets to make sure it wasn't the power supply. No little blue light. I'm technologically challenged to begin with. Oh, and I can't find the original disk that came with it. Is there anything I can do?

It works great, but it created two new networks with "_xt" at the end of the SSID to denote the extended networks. This means I have to disconnect/reconnect to the base/extended networks as I move around my house. If I were to rename the extended networks to have the same SSID as the base networks, would that allow me to walk around my place without having to connect to the extended network, or will it create some sort of conflict or error?

The internet on the main desktop is on and used constantly all day, with 2 laptops and ipad used intermittently. Constantly thorughout the day the internet freezes up and has to be unplugged and restarted though there is no pattern to the freeze, perhaps only be the main desktop may be in use alone, perhaps all the above may be in use. Should I upgrade service from time warner or upgrade my older router.

I have 2 WRVS4400N routers that were installed at 2 remote locations to provide VPN access to these sites. The routers have been found reset to the factory defaults on three occasions, twice on one of them and once on the other. Both sites are unmanned so no-one is on site to have pressed the reset button, and both routers were set to have remote management disabled. They are running v2013 firmware.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched from a DLink DIR-655 to a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH recently and have been having problems keeping a wireless client bridge connected. The bridge in question is a Linksys WGA600N, and though it has been as solid as a rock with the DLink I find myself resetting it often to reconnect the device to my network under the Buffalo. The bridge has been flashed and reflashed to its latest FW and the router has been flashed with different versions of DD-WRT (Buffalo's versions and vanilla DD-WRT versions; currently on vanilla DD-WRT v24-sp2 build 14896), yet I'm still experiencing the same problem. Fuddling around with the some of the wireless settings like the wireless channels on the router seems to keep the bridge connected a little longer than usual, however once it disconnects the frequency of drops goes up again. Other wireless clients on my network don't seem to have this problem with exception to another bridge (WHR-HP-GN) that I returned due to becoming catatonic to both wired and wireless connections.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a RV082 V03 being used as a gateway that was bought in mid 2011. The firmware version that came with it was v4.0.0.07. Up until we upgraded to firmware v4.2.1.02(Upgraded in Jan.2013), we would have to restart the router once every month due to loss of internet connectvity and it locking up. After I upgraded it to the 4.2.1.02, it gradually starting increasing from rebooting the router once a month, to once a week, then to multiple times a day. Today, I upgraded the firmware to the latest version being v4.2.2.08 and it has not froze up since the upgrade, but then again, it happens randomly through the day so it might not happen until tomorrow morning so we will see how this goes. During the time when it looses connectivity, I CANNOT get to the web gui or even ping the RV082 device. The lights on the RV082 are blinking like it is working though.This router is not even 2 years old yet and cannot believe that it would be dying already.
