I want to set a password to secure my internet broadband but the manual states address as 192.168.2.1 - this asks for a username and password which are supposed to be admin and 1234 - although manual shows a screen with just a password and says bypass it.

For example, i can open [URL] but i can't open [URL].. My connection to the internet is trough PPPoE and when i am connected directly to the internet i don't have this problem, the problem appears only when i am connected to internet trough the router. Moreover, programs like Yahoo Messenger and Skype can connect to internet trough the router, the problem is only with the sites. These two sites i use are just an example, most of the sites i can't open.

I have a Cisco Aironet 1100 series access point (AP1120B) that after resetting to factory defaults the default username and password (Cisco and Cisco) aren't working in the web GUI. I am able to telnet to the AP's IP and log in with Cisco and Cisco but don't know the ENABLE password. I have tried Cisco and cisco and everything else i could think of with no luck.
I also have a Cisco Aironet AP1242AG that is doing the same thing.
I was trying to do a password recovery on a 1142 AP but enable password did not reset and I am stuck

Its autonomous so there is no controller. I renamed the config.txt file I am unable to rename or delete the private-config file. I get the message that file or directory cannot be found when i try to rename and permission denied when I try to delete it.
I am resetting my Aironet 1231-G access points and cannot access the default username and password. Here is the information I am getting on the Console. I reset getting the amber light. Attempt to use Cisco as the Username and Password. It replies that authentication fails with the below log information.

Through memory I am sure I had this problem previously but I had the disk to give me guidelines on what to do(which I don't have any more). I have phoned up virgin (my ISP) and they said it was an issue to do with the router, to which I searched into the routers address, in this case 192.168.50.1. Scrolling down, I noticed that under the WAN section it says:

I have spent a good part of today trying soloutions to get this to work again but I just can't seem to find a way around it. As I said, the router has been working fine for pretty much 5 years now and I really do not know why the WAN went. In addition, it was set up wireless. How can I obtain the newtork parameters?

The router is connected to a computer with wire, and another computer wireless.Every now and then we get random disconnect. I uninstalled the att software but the pppoe settings remain and my computer says my network is unidentified and will only allow local connection. My XP computer had no problem making the change but the Vista one keeps saying it is an unidentified network. I have tried turning everything off and then restarting the cable and then the computer but it does not work. I have a wireless adapter and can connect the Vista machine to the network with no problem but need a wired connection for games I play so I need to fix the wired problem. I am sure the settings the ATT software changed is the problem but I don't know how to get into the system to fix the problem. There is no router involved. The router is built into the cable modem.
