Have a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo P2430 PC and am trying to connect it to my Virgin Media super Hub via a Netgear WN1111 USB 2.0 AdapterWireless-N. Software is loaded perfectly fine and signal is excellent but it refuses to load any web pages unless I refresh a zillion times. Internet works excellently on my laptop so am stumped. No connection malfunction is diagnosed
Is there any chance the Wireless Repeater mode work with WPA2-AES ?If not, which model of AP should I buy to connect it with my wap54g as Wireless Repeater?
I have a DIR-655 B1 router. The firmware is 2.00 NA. Just to clarify, the DSi itself does work with WPA, but the games only work with WEP. I made a guest account and set it to WEP and it still does not work. I have tried making the main connection WEP as well, but when I go on the game and try it, it says it is WPA and not WEP. My friend has a DIR-655 as well, but the hardware and firmware version are different. Her games work flawlessly.
I want to get wifi for my laptop and ipod at work, i cannot add a router to the system lol not a option. Is there a thing i can plug into the dekstop here so i can get the internet off of it? There has to be somthing out there that can do this. Because these computers are wired.
I can't connect through wireless to my local anything router, NAS, printers. All the other computers can connect wirelessly with no problems. so I know that the wireless on the router is good. funny thin is that I can connect to LAN through the wired port on the laptop. Its a new laptop running windows 7 everything worked good until about 2 weeks ago. I must have changed something not sure whats up. I updated the driver on the wireless still no change.
so i was having problems with my comp and re installed windows 7. Afterwards when i tried to plug in my Dlink USB wireless connection it would attempt to install it then fail. I tried putting in the disc it came with and it failed to download the driver successfully as well.
I recently purchased a wireless extender to use on my PC, PS3, and kindle since I have such a low signal in my bedroom. I connected the extender to the PS3 and kindle with no problems. Great signal. Increased from 1 bar to 3 bars. However I can't connect either one of my PCs to it. It connects but says no internet access.

I have a E4200 router and I was using it with a 1st generation MacBook Air for internet and also had my Samsung laser printer hooked up (USB) for wireless printing. It worked perfectly. Now I have upgraded to a new MacBook Air. The internet connection works fine, but printing won't work. Same printer. Same connections.
Do I need to refresh/reboot something? My new Mac has the printer driver. I get a message "printer if offline" "printer is not connected" -I feel like the router now does not recognize the new Mac's command to print. The older macbook air still works and prints wirelessly. The new one does not.
I'm having a problem with a D-Link DCS932L camera after setting up the EA4500. The manual for the camera can be found here.

It worked fine with my old D-Link router. Everything else in the house has not had a problem with the EA4500. There is a certail level of criticality around this camera and, if I can't get it to work, I will have to return the router. I setup port forwarding as 5556 ~ 5559, TCP Protocol (but I tried "Both" as well" with the IP address of the camera. It still doesn't work.I'm IT by trade but not in networking, i.e. I'm not stupid with tech but port wrangling is out of my comfort zone. The setup of this camera with our old router took minutes. I've spent about five hours trying to get it to work on the EA4500.
Whenever my main PC is turned on, i get no signal from the wireless, like i cannot use my phone or laptop on the internet i use an Ethernet cable which is directly connected to my main PC my windows is also window XP and my modem model is TG782T only if my PC is turned off the wireless works
I tried to set up a wireless router yesterday and when trying to connect with my laptop it had limited or no connectivity. I tried a few things but I couldn't get it to work so i switched back to my wired connection. Trying to set up the wireless router is not my concern though at the moment. Now my desktop can connect to the internet but my laptop and ps3 can not obtain an ip address. My desktop does not have a wireless card, thats the only thing I can think of why it will work when the other devices dont.
Right now I have my cable modem hooked up to a D-Link switch with my desktop and laptop connected. The desktop can connect and I get a limited or no activity with my laptop. I have reset the modem multiple times, restarted computers, Right clicked on my connection and tried to repair it, connect the laptop straight to the modem and did all of the above again. The IP and DNS are set to obtain automatically. Nothing is working that I know of but I can plug in my desktop and its up and going in 2 seconds.
The router was a very old one given to me from a friend. Its a Linksys V1. It is not connect to anything or even on now. The last time I tried to use this router I didn't get it to work and this same thing happened. I took it into work the next day and they were able to connect via wireless and wired using my D-Link switch. When I got home it work again just fine.
I purchased a used Compaq laptop with a Realtek USB wireless adapter. The laptop came with XP Pro. I connected the adapter and everything worked great. My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I doubled checked that the Windows wireless utility is disabled. Still no available networks. Everything was fine before the reinstall of Windows XP Home.
Just 2 days ago I realized that the wired connection will not let me connect to the internet at all. However, I have a wireless connection and it lets me connect to the internet. I don't like using the wireless connection unless necessary. I tried updating the drivers and troubleshooting, and it still won't connect. It still has that exclamation mark for the wired connection. I use a Windows 7 laptop.
Whenever my main PC is turned on, i get no signal from the wireless, like i cannot use my phone or laptop on the interneti use an ethernet cable which is direclty connected to my main PCmy windows is also window XP and my modem model is TG782T
I'm trying to ensure I have wireless coverage in my entire house and having extreme difficulty getting all machines to play nicelyWireless modem router #1 (downstairs in my house) is connected to the ADSL line and has the following config:IP Address = 192.168.1.1 DHCP on DHCP pool 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.100 Subnet = 255.255.255.0 Wifi channel = 1 Wireless router #2 (upstairs) is connected by ethernet cable to Wireless modem router #1 and has the following config:IP Address = 192.168.1.2 DHCP off Subnet = 255.255.255.0 Wifi channel = 11 Different SSID and encryption key to Wireless modem router #1 With this configuration, I can connect to the internet via both routers and all seems to be well. Except... having established a connection through either one, my machines will only make a pretend connection with the other one. By "pretend", I mean that the (Windows) machine says it has an excellent connection to the router but can only see machines on the LAN - it cannot get to the internet even though other machines are connected through the same router to the internet.
For example, if I'm sitting next to the downstairs router and establish a connection with it, all is well. Then I move upstairs and my machine switches to the upstairs router. Signal strength will be reported as "Excellent" and I'll be able to connect to the local NAS or printer but no external devices or sites.I have tried having the same SSID and wireless configuration on both but the result was the same.Today I read the suggestion to enable the DHCP server on the 2nd router but to set it to distribute a different non-overlapping IP range (i.e. router 1 can have a pool of 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.50, and router 2 can have a pool of 192.168.1.51-192.168.1.99)
is it possible to use a wireless router for making a wifi setup by connecting the router only to the broadband modem while the pc is kept switched off.if so which is the best bang for buck wireless router available now?
previously system was on internet explorer 8 and when turing on WAN only need to hit the F1 key, however since downloading internet explorer 9 and cd burner xp the f1 key isnt connecting me to wireless.
I can't get a wireless adapter to work on my newly purchased desktop. Tried 2 different brands, same result: After installing drivers, resetting wireless router etc. the wireless connection sometimes shows up but can't be connected to. I used:
1) TP link wireless adapter
2) Netgear N600 wireless dual band usb adapter.
The netgear one I'm using right now just says, "scanning" constantly. Here's diagnostics:
Host Name: MININT-SNNBPV2 OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS Version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
we have a linksys e4200 wireless router we don't have people connecting to it often but people do occasionally. Everyone can connect to the network drives fine (as far as I'm aware) except for one laptop. It's a windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit . It has no problem connecting to the internet just a problem connecting to the drives.
I have been having a peculiar problem lately with my wireless set-up. I have a very simple and standard setup. My main desktop pc is connected to my TP Link TL-WR841ND wireless router and that is connected to my issued Time Warner cable modem. In my room I have a desktop pc with a TP Link TL-WN722N wireless adapter and my brother has a PlayStation 3 in his room. For months I have had flawless wireless internet connection between my desktops and PlayStation 3, but for the past few days I noticed that when the main desktop is on it prevents my adapter and PlayStation from making wireless connections to the router.
The only time my desktop with the adapter and PlayStation 3 is able to connect is only when the main desktop is turned off or physically disconnected from the router. Now, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Ethernet driver, resetting both the modem and router, and setting everything up from square one to no avail. I know it has to be something simple but I'm hoping I won't have to format my main desktop PC.
When I log into the routers configuration page through internet explorer and check the Wireless Statistics page showing the currently connected wireless stations and packets, I have noticed that very few packets are being sent out, like the adapter and PlayStation 3 are being blocked by the desktop. I had Norton installed on it a week or two ago just to do a quick scan, then I uninstalled it.
I have cable to connect to internet, and recently bought a Bluestork Wireless n usb adapter of 150 mbps, however when trying to connect to this wifi that appears onmy tablet it asks for a password, but I don't know what the WEP or WPA is.
I purchased 3 of these Wireless-G access points and none of them are plug and play. I am here because I have spent the last three hours trying to go through every step they suggest in the Quick Start Guide.
I tried entering in a web browser the default IP address and wait for a login that does not appear.
I've been asked to configure an 881 with a Verizon 3G backup connection as a backup to the FE4 primary WAN connection. I've been unable to get any connectivity through 3G, and in most cases, as soon as I try to configure 3G, I lose connectivity through FE4.Currently, I don't even have FE4 connected. I'm just trying to get the 3G connection working, so then I can take it back to the office and have a functional 3G backup connection.
I have a Brother HL-2270DW wireless printer. The install seems to go OK , and the printer gets an IP (DHCP) address from the router. But the installation software cannot find the printer to complete the installation. The printer settings (printed after pressing GO button three times) show that the printer has an address, but it will not respond to a ping.
