Have only been using the wired before and it works great but now need to connect note 2 to do backups. I have even tried resetting the router back to factory settings and turning on WiFi again and no luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Samsung Galaxy S4. As I have always done with all of my devices that connect wirelessly, I went into the D-Link software and added my phone's MAC address to the network filter list. The security settings are WPA/WPA2. When I try to connect, the phone is able to see my Wi-Fi network, and it asks for my password, which I enter. It keeps trying to connect, but then it says an "authentication error occurred." I have checked and triple-checked the password, and it is correct. I have also checked and triple-checked the MAC address, and it is correct. I have rebooted the router and the phone several times each.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was having problems staying connected to the wifi on my samsung galaxy mini. Many fixes for other models in the galaxy series, limited fixes for the 'mini' version. Long story short, I was told to edit the DHCP lease time in my router settings. There I bumped into another problem. No mather what I tried there was no way of accessing the page. Weird thing is I remember having logged in on it before.Usually you just have to give in the standard gateway which should be 192.168.0.1 in my case. I checked it using ipconfig in cmd and my presumption was confirmed. Then I tried resetting the router to set back any settings that might've accidently been changed, in the hope that it would also reset the standard gateway and no succes. Now my knowledge about networking is verry limited.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone won't connect to my Belkin router (F5D7230-4) thru the wifi connection. It previously had connected fine, but I'd reset the router today & changed the password. I'm able to connect with no problems (thru wifi or regular connection) on my pc. I went to my Belkin router page and have looked at my MAC settings (only option it gives is to clone, which I tried), I've also tried changing the password....my phone also gave me the option of hitting the WPS button on my router within 2 minutes, which I did, but it would not configure automatically as it was supposed to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to connect to my home network over VPN from my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone. I have a Netgear WGR614v01 wireless router. This router has my desktop computer and windows 2012 server plugged into it. The server is a domain controller that has the following roles installed: DHCP, DNS, ADDS, IIS, and Remote Access. My Windows 7 Professional desktop is joined to the domain controller. The wireless router serves my netbook, smartphones, and ipods. They do not authenticate with the DC but do get a DHCP ip address from the server.I have my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone that I'd like to be able to use to VPN into my network. Here is what I have done;Disabled the DHCP service on the router. Setup port forwarding to forward PPTP to my server's static IP address on port 1723.I created a user on my DC for this purpose and enabled the account for network dialup service.I created a DHCP Relay Agent in the Remote Access MMC.I opened up the Remote Access app on the server's firewall. On my phone I setup a 'New VPN Connection...' I use the username/password of the user I created for this purpose. I put in my ip address that I have from my ISP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought Cisco WAG120N modem+router weeks ago, and until now I have trouble with connecting it to my android phone with wi-fi,
every time I try to do it keep trying to connect and after that I get a massage connection lost in my PC, then I have to restart modem-router agin to get the internet connection,
previously I had my ISP provided unbranded one and it worked fine, since Cisco have good name I bought this and now I was totally disappointed,
even the Internet connection stop without any reason and I have to do restart process.
My brother got a samsung galaxy s captivate yesterday to replace his pos iphone 3g on Rogers Wireless. He wants to connect to the Dlink DIR-615's wifi to cut down on the data usage while at home on his 500mb per month data plan the ssid and the password are fine, but it hangs on the message "obtaining IP address..." which then after a while refuses to continue to connect and labels the connection "disabled"... the connection type is WPA2 AES something or other so as to guarantee wireless N connections for the xbox and my pc (the ps3 doesn't really do everything, it only does G not N lol)...
I am not familiar with the phone as it's not mine (someday maybe...) so maybe there is a setting i missed. I do know the router is not mac address restricted (meaning only certain computers are allowed to connect).
Just bought a samsung galaxy s4 and I haven't been able to get my WiFi to work with my Belkin router (Surf N300 wireless router, model F7D6301). I tried giving it a static IP and got it to connect to the network, but it still wasn't able to leverage the WiFi for use.The router firmware is up to date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and have bee trying to connect to my WRVS4400N router with VPN through the "on board" software as well as with the Any Connect software from Cisco. I have no issues at the moment using Quick VPN from my laptop.
When using the Any Connect software I receive the following messages:
Security warning: untrusted certificate
AnyConnect cannot verify the identity of <IP address>. Would you like to continue anyway?
- Certificate does not match the server name.
- Certificate is from an untrusted source.
- Certificate is not identified for this purpose

If I select accept, the following error is received:
"Error: Connection attempt has failed due to server communication errors. Please retry the connection".
I have tried setting up the on board VPN with the Samsug Galaxy but every attempt has resulted in a time-out of the connection.
I've got a E3000 router and I'd like to be able to stream movies and access files from the USB connected HD on my router to my galaxy tablet.I understand that this can be done. I've poked around and cannot find anything that's worked for me.

My android cant even pickup the SSIDs, I stand beside and still nothing, the SSIDs are not hidden, Ive tried different encryptions, changed from AES to TKIP, tried different channels. I have two seperate SSIDs, one 2.4GHz with B/G/N and a 5.0 with A/N Available, neither SSID is getting picked up
My DIR-615 FW:2.25 HW:B2 has been running totally stable and reliably ever since it was purchased until very recently.
I have been running my entire house wireless with the following setup...
Cable Internet 25Mib down/2Mib up
Desktop PC (ASUS M32N-sli Deluxe w/integrated Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter) Latest drivers on Win 7
Laptop PC (Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN) latest drivers, on Vista

Samsung Galaxy Infuse 4G
Everything was fine until my roommate bought a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Now I randomly lose wireless connection to every device on the network. Default gateway 192.168.0.1 becomes unreachable... resetting the router restores connectivity...
Very interesting to note is the fact that while wireless communication with the router fails, wired connections remain active with fully functional internet access.
I have a RV120W Firewall and I've created 3 Vlans. One for Internet Access Computers, One for non-Internet access, one for printers. How can I implement security to keep Internet and non-internet vlan computers from communicating with one anothers? Both computer vlans will need to communicate with printer

I want to connect to the Internet small office where docsis (internet over tv cable) is used as WAN.For similar tasks but other WANs (adsl, dial-up) I used 800 series. But now I can't find anything in this series to solve my issue. There is 815 but it has no wi-fi.
I can use cable modem that my ISP gave to me: this modem acts as bridge so I can use router with FE-based WAN but it is better to have one device instead of two.
I have a laptop that I take to work, and would like to set things up to use my home internet connection from elsewhere. I don't have another computer to function as a server for me at home, so would like to do it so that my router alone provides this access (log into it from the internet anywhere and use my internet as if I am using it from home). How would I go about doing this? Would it require installing new firmware?
