I have a belkin f7d2301 and I cannot access the startup menu it says startup not found I have remove program and reinstalled it. is the disc bad. i also cannot do auto updates because it can't find startup location.

I like to do surveys and I've never been able to access this particular site It does the same thing as the original person's problem. I'm kind of scared to change anything on my router setup because I have several computers on the same router. Will any of this cause the other computers not to run on the router?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this problem yesterday when I was surfing the internet when suddenly my belkin router turns off. This router is working just fine in the beginning when we have this. When I troubleshoot, it says about the ethernet cable. When I plug it to the ethernet slot on the back of my computer, it would not flash an orange light. Am I required to buy another ethernet cable or it's just my router who had just lost power?

I click on a section in the router menu and it takes what seems like 30 seconds for the page to change or accept the new settings. It's not my browser it's definitely a Linksys Router issue. I updated to the latest firmware and latest Cisco Connect software as well. Is this slow user interface a normal thing with these routers?

Unfortunely the "Access Restrictions" menu is missing in the admin GUI; I 've got all the others : "Set -up", "Wireless", "Security", Storage, Applications and Gaming, Administration and Status. I've checked the Firmware already and i'm using the very last one available on the cisco web site. I also noticed that I do not have the "Linksys by Cisco" text on the upper left corner as one can read on user guide but just "Cisco".

I was configuring a new unit straight out of the box to test a configuration for a client. I got most of of the configuration done and was noticing the menus were quirky and so I check to firmware and discovered it was 1.1.16 (* down level).
I finished my setup and rebooted to complete the changes, when I went back to log into the console it would Actively refuses to connect . the first time after powering on it shows the page title as setup before failing
I have tried a hard reset ( 15 Seconds reset) but it does not work . it doesn't even reset the settings. (static IP etc still there)

I have a two routers running from one connection first the master which is a Dlink dg500 - i think all is fine there. Secondly I have a slave router running all the wired/wireless things in the kids rooms its a netgear and when i say 'slave' I figured out if you put the input from the first router into port1 instead of input it works as a slave.
Problem is I need to get into the router menu on the netgear, it was ip add 192.168.1.1 then when i slaved it it was 10.0.0.1 - (I think) but I have tried recentley to get onto it and can't for the life of me. I have tried wirelessly and through ethernet cable but can't get the menu.

There are no menu options and just some of the information is on the page. None of the menu headers are listed. Is there any way to reset this so I can get the menu to work again?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Linksys Cisco E900 router and hooked it up to my Internet cable. The Internet service that my ISP is giving me is PPPoE, fiber link (100 Mbps).
I did the set up. I connected my computer (via Ethernet cable) and my laptop (via wireless) to the router.
Now... there are other wireless networks around me. The WI-Fi channel my router fixed to is 1, apparently - saw it from the settings. But I can't find a menu anywhere in the router's gateway (192.168.1.1) from where I can change the wireless channel, wireless bandwidth etc.
I have the revision b version of the dir-655. I'm having a couple issues which im not sure if are related to the dir-655 or something else.
I used to be able to do this, then all of the sudden (I may have changed something) I cannot anymore. The issue is: If I try and access my linux server using http://[My Public IP Address]/ from *inside* my LAN, It will time out and not connect. If I try and access my same public ip address from *outside* my LAN, it works fine.
My router was noticeably slow to respond when navigating the menu system. Then, I changed the ip address to 192.168.0.2 (previously it was 192.168.0.1) and all of the sudden its fast again. I tried rebooting and power cycling before I changed the IP and it was always slow using 192.168.0.1.
I'm trying to register my new linksys e2000-ew wireless router but it doesn't show up in the selection pull down menu. When I try the e2500 it says my serial# isn't correct.

XD..Well basically I can't access my wireless modem router's settings (2 in 1 device I believe). I managed it once but haven't been able to do it again. I've tried the following:
-Reset router many times.
-Turn it on and off many times.
-reset router while ethernet cable is connected and without.
-ipconfig/release and renew
notthing works!!! I noticed the ip address changed from the default one of 192.168.2.1 to a completely different one...95.175.138.When I turned on my laptop today after being off overnight (and the router) somehow I did managed to get on the settings page again using 192.168.2.1 but didn't last for long. While I did this there was a warning icon next to the wifi icon, but then when the warning sign went off that's when the router's setting page stoped working again.I need to get to the router setting because currently is set to go off when i turn off my laptop which is a bit pointless and change a password.
I am using a Verizon Fios system at home. I have a desktop pc on the other side of the house from my modem that does not have wireless capabilities. I read that I can use an access point to connect it to my wireless network. I'm not sure if this is true or not. I set up my Belkin N150 basic router as directed to make it an access point. Almost every time I start the computer I get an error message telling me Windows has detected an IP conflict. Sometimes when I click okay I get the message a second timeAbout half the time, I have no internet connection when I start up and have to restart my router, which fixes the problem (after restarting the modem, I do not need to do anything like renew with ipconfig; it just starts working). View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin High-Speed Mode Wireless G Router F5D7231-4 and I wish to use it as an access point for my main desktop for my wireless network.
I have followed methods supplied by both Belkin and users and have had no success.
Instructions followed:
- Connect a computer to Belkin router using an ethernet cable.
- Reset the router to factory defaults. The reset button can be found at the botton of it. The reset procedure is given below
- Make sure the router is switched ON.
- Locate the reset button(inside a hole) at the back of the router.
- Use a paper clip, push the reset button and hold it for 30 seconds then release the reset button.
- Unplug the Power cable from back of the router and plug it back again and wait for another 30 seconds.
- Log on to router setup page by typing 192.168.2.1 in the address bar of the browser.
- On the left under wireless click on the option Use as Access Point.
- Select Enable and specify the IP address as 192.168.2.254 and subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 and click on apply changes.
Every time the system crashes whilst applying the changes.
My Belkin "ADSL 2+ Model with Wireless G" router suddenly stopped allowing wireless access this afternoon - right in the middle of use - although the wired connections to that router still work fine. No settings seem to have been changed on the router, and I'm the only one with access. Two phones and a laptop that normally work fine just won't get an connection. The laptop - running windows 7 - says the configuration saved did not match what the router was asking for. I tried another computer that doesn't normally connect by wireless and was prompted for a WEP key - which is odd because the router is configured for WPA/WPA2 AES access with a 9 character pre-shared key. After trying a key unsucessfully I haven't been able to get that prompt up again.Meanwhile I've gone into the router settings and it's definitely set to ask for WPA/WPA2. There are some WEP keys specified if I use the drop-down menu to select WEP, but I can't get any device to prompt me to enter one now.

Received Windows Security Alert message that my Belkin USB Storage Center (where the printer is listed) was being blocked, and would I like to allow access. I selected "Allow Access". Printer has not been connecting all week. No error messages - it tries to connect, and then just stops. Can't find issues with the router or the printer - only with the firewall. Everything looks the way I assume it should - the printer is listed in the Belkin storage center. The Belkin storage center is listed in the firewall. There is no tech support for the firewall. There is no tech support for the printer.

It's a belkin N router that worked for the first few days but now we can't access the Internet wirelessly if we shut the laptop down and reboot. Belkin talked me through every possible way to connect to AUI but no joy. Even tried using firefox, which worked once but we then lost connection again. Getting frustrated now. May take router back to the shop as it's only ten days old.

The modem is working fine as I am able to access the netbook if I plug my netbook into it directly and I don't think it is an issue with my netbook as I have the same problem if I try to connect my HTC Smartphone to the internet through Wi-Fi too, eg recognises signal but cannot access pages.The router was permanently plugged in and turned on which I have since heard tends to burn them out so I am thinking it might be an issue with the router.
