I am having issues connecting my 1320c directly to the network. It is currently hooked directly to my netgear WNDR4000 router through a ethernet cable, but I am unable to see the printer on my devices list on the router. The printer connects fine and prints when hooked directly to my computer through USB,what needs to be done to be able to see my printer and be able to print with it on the network?
I have downloaded the installation data "R147095 Dell Wireless Printer Adaptor 3300 Installation Set-UP.exe". Saved that to a new CD and loaded it to my PC. I get through most of the setup wizard but always fail at the same point - The adapter will not connect to the network. All the usual checks are positive and the network key is correct and in the appropriate case. I have run Driver Detective and that confirms that the drivers for the adapter are up to date. The printer is not yet installed on the PC and the software for it has not been loaded.
I have tried this procedure again on a second PC where the printer had been used as a wired slave printer but have uninstalled the printer first. Same result - Adapter fails to connect to the network.
Router is a Billion Bipac 7800 n. I can get other "newer" devices to connect without problems but this "old" adaptor is proving stubborn.
After purchasing another dell XPS since my first one went bad, I noticed I can no longer print wireless to my canon xp860 printer. It worked fine with the old computer although I was using an external Blue tooth plug in. This nre laptop has builtin Blue tooth. I have tried to reinstall the printer for wireless and it seems to be install but it just wont print. My thought is to just give up and buy another plug in for the laptop. The device mgr. shows a good install too.
I have a Dell AIO 968w. I've tried connecting it via the USB that came with the printer and a new one incase the old one broke as everytime I connected it it gave the message. USB malfunctioned please replace device. Later I connected it via Ethernet to my Linksys switch, but my computer wouldn't recognize the printer nor the IP connected. I've tried manually imputing the IP, but no luck.
Just purchased Pixma 5350 printer. Laptop will not connect via WiFi. Printer is connected to router via WiFi,laptop is connected to router via WiFi but not to each other. Printer works perfectly when connected to laptop via USB cable. Have un-installed and re-installed several times but cannot get the two to connect to each other.
I have a dell 2155CDN network printer I want to scan files over the network when I scan once it finishes I get a SMB List error and the file does not go trough here is a picture of my settings?
I have a Dell 2155CDN Multifunction printer that is hooked up through our network. But when using the scan feature, it is terribly slow, and I assume it has something to do with it scanning through the network port. Is it possible to leave the printer hooked up across the network, but also attach it to a computer via USB just for the scanner? Or would doing this confuse the printer not knowing which port to use for each feature?
I just got a new Inspiron. I have wireless INTERNET NO PROBLEM, and I downloaded the driver ware for the DELL V715W.The two wont talk and I cant get it to print at all or complete the printer test page spool.

So I trid two other addresses and those did not work. I am conufsed. How do I knw what address to type in?
I've got a wireless N home network set up. My wifes PC is connected directly to the cable modem, and our Epson usb printer is connected to her pc. My Toshiba laptop is using a wireless connection. I can see her pc on the network, but cannot see or connect to the printer over the network. Her PC is running Windows 7, mine is running Windows 8 Pro. I was able to print on this printer with my previous pc, which ran Windows 7
I had to replace my wireless router and when I try to reconnect my printer this is what I get: Your wireless router requires a WEP security key. The security key configured on your printer does not match exactly. Reconfigure your wireless network WEP security key for your printer. Your printer has limited connectivity. Your printer is using IP address 169.254.xx.xxx which is not compatible with the IP address 192.16x.x.x of the pc.I had to changed the WEP security key I used on the old router as the orginal security key had been used by someone without permission. Before this I had no problems using the printer on my old routerI have tried turning everything off and unplugging it but that does not work, I tried resetting the wireless settings on the printer, yet that did not work. I am using Windows Vista service pack 2 on a Compaq Presario laptop, the wireless router is a Netgear N600, and the printer is an HP Photosmart C4740.
How do I add a Dell wireless printer 968A10 to a home network? The printer was connected to the old (former modem) home network. printer is now not in new network.
is it possible to connect between 2 networks (different ips)? i have a wired ethernet group n a wireless group, my printer is on the wired group, my laptop on the wireless one.
I bought a new laptop with Windows 7. Desktop is running Vista. Printer is set to share and connected to Vista machine. Printer and file sharing is enabled on both machines. Running Windows firewall on both machines. Disabled Comodo firewall on Vista machine. Both computers have the same workgroup. Both computers have the same user name and password. Password protected sharing is turned off both machinesVista can access the W7 machine, last night W7 could see but not access Vista, but it doesn't even see it. When I troubleshoot I get a message "file and print sharing resource (Vista PC name) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts".
I just installed Win 7 pro 64 bit on a new computer / hard drive. I can connect to my router which is hardwired to a computer running Win XP Pro 32 bit, but I can't figure out how to connect to my printer which is on that same network. I can access the internet, just not the printer - which is connected via Ethernet to the router. Is is possible that because Win7 is 64bit and the other computers on the network are 32 bit running XPpro - that it won't work? I have another XP pro computer that is connected via wireless that accesses the printer just fine.I have a netgear USB adapter on both the WinXP computer and also the Win7.Win7 is foreign to me. I can't find anywhere where I would 'join' the mshome network. It asks me about them joining ME.
We have 2 computers the main one running OS XP and mine running Vista. Previously, we had no problems with my computer finding the main on the network along with the printer. But now the main computer can see mine (printer and PC) but I cannot connect to the main. Mine does not see the printer nor the PC. We are both running the same virus protection, which is Norton. I really want to use the main computer's printer, which I was able to do until for some reason now I go into networking and it is not there. I know it is marked as shared. When I go into setup network printer and type the name of the printer a window pops up "The printer sever spooling service is not available". I have uninstalled the printer software and drivers and reinstalled but still not showing up on the network? When I click print a document the printer I am looking for is there but it shows as offline, which it is not. I am not 100% sure but seemed to occur when we switched from Mckfee to Norton?
I have an HP 7310 Series SAll-in-One printer which is currently hooked up to a windows XP based computer via USB. I would like to connect the printer to my network instead, and would like to know which steps to take. Should I uninstall the software from the computer and start from fresh, or is there another way. I am not very savvy when it comes to networking, I want to connect the printer to my network, so that I can print from my iMac (which is connected to the network wirelessly).
I would like to print to my HP LaserJet 5000 through my WiFi. The printer however does not have WiFi only an RJ45 jack. I bought a TP-Link WR541G router to use as a bridge. My current router is a 2Wire which I get my WiFi from.I cannot physically connect the printer as the location of the 2-Wire to printer is across my home. I am hoping to simply connect the TP-Link to the printer and link the TP-Link to the 2-wire. How to make the bridge
I have a canon ipf6350 printer that I want to move to another room in my house. It is currently connected via a network cable connected directly to my wifi router. The printer does not have wifi. how can I connect the printer to the network once it is in another room? I have an older belkin n1 vision wifi router I am not using. Can I connect this wirelessly to the existing network and then plug a cat 5 cable from the belkin to the printer?
My printer has an error saying cannot connect to network......this problem occurred when i made a secure internet connection. I have tried resetting everything , unistalled printer software, i have changed all kinds of things on my router page . Apparently not the right things. I have a Dlink 524 router , Hp photosmart 5510 printer and 2 laptops.
I have a Seagate 1TB USB External Hard Drive that I want to share on my wireless home network, and I'm having difficulty finding a cheap, reliable solution. I would also, ideally, like to connect a USB printer for similar sharing.I have two XP PC's on the network, and will probably be getting a Windows 7 machine. The router is the generic one supplied by my ISP.
1. Connect both hard drive and printer to always-on PC that shares with Windows. This would work but I'm not keen on the 'always on'
2. Use a Pogoplug to connect the hard drive and printer to the router Again, a good solution and always-on, but a little pricey - ?60-100?
There's a Canon LBP 3500 printer on my office network.I don't know its IP.It doesn't show up when I scan the local subnet with nmap.I cannot find the manual (hardcopy or online). It is plugged into the network. It is turned on.I have turned it off and on again.I have tried plugging it into other ports on our switch.
So I have a Brother MFC-8660DN connected to my LAN via Ethernet cable, however I now want to move the printer to another room, but don't want to run the ethernet cable to it's new location. There are a ton of linksys wrt54g routers for cheep and I wondered if I could just move the printer and plug into a wrt54g router to connect to my LAN via a wifi signal rather than directly via ethernet cable. It seems like it should work, however because the wrt54g isn't hooked to a computer I'm not sure that this would work.
I have a new Linksys E1000, and I would like to connect my HP 2035 Laserjet to the router, avoiding connecting it directly to my desktop (wired to the router) or my laptop (wireless). When I connect the Ethernet cable to the printer and the router? Both PCs are running XP, and the printer was connected to the laptop before I got the wireless router.
I installed a RV082 at my remote branch and I successfully created a VPN tunnel to my ASA5510 at our core data center.
The PC's that I plug into any of the 8 ports are working fine. However, when I plug in a network printer, it does not work from the network, only from a PC that is also plugged into the RV082, basically locally, using TCPIP
From our data center, I can ping the printer, but the printer shows 'Off-Line'. I even tried to add a TCPIP port, in the printer setup, and it does not see it.
how to connect a network printer (HP OfficeJet Pro K8500DN) to the Cisco AE4500. Cisco's installation CD only believes there are USB or Wireless printers?
How do I setup a WRT160N as a wireless adapter to connect a wireless printer to my network? I do not use the wrt 160 as a router because I have an AT&T router for u-verse connection. Also, I physically cannot wire the printer to the main router (opposite corners of the house).
I have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer. Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer. All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.
This started this a.m. Every other computer can connect issue free. I have even removed all security and have it set as an "Open" network to see if this will resolve and still the Dell is unable to connect. If I click on connect, it attempts to then I get the Troubleshooter message. This PC is running Win 7. Let me know what further information is needed.
