I just got a new Inspiron. I have wireless INTERNET NO PROBLEM, and I downloaded the driver ware for the DELL V715W.The two wont talk and I cant get it to print at all or complete the printer test page spool.

Printer: Dell V715W
I just got my first wi-fi printer, a V715w. Even though the Wi-Fi light on the front of the printer is green, I very often can't print to the printer. I get a box saying the printer can't communicate with the computer. I would have thought that the green light was signifying that Wi-Fi communications existed. Wrong? Then what does the green light signify? When I check the settings on the printer front panel, it shows the all the correct info, SSID, etc.. Do I need to do something each time before I try to print in order to ensure a wireless connection exists? Shouldn't the printer stay connected to the Netgear dual band wireless N router all the time? The computer, Win XP, sp3 stays connected to the router all the time. I expected the printer to do the same.

View 2 Replies View Related I have a Dell XPS 8300 desktop. The desktop recently got a virus which caused me to completely reformat the computer. I thought the PC came with a drivers CD but either it did not or I cannot find one. Now that I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 it will not connect to the internet. I have tried downloading all network drivers, bios drivers and making sure BIOS is enabled but still I am unable to connect to the internet.
What can I do to fix this problem or is there any place that I can purchase the actual drivers CD for my PC so that this does not happen again? I have gone to the drivers and downloads page, put my tag number in and literally downloaded every single driver listed and still it is giving me the "no connection detected" error.
I have a dell 2155CDN network printer I want to scan files over the network when I scan once it finishes I get a SMB List error and the file does not go trough here is a picture of my settings?

But when using the scan feature, it is terribly slow, and I assume it has something to do with it scanning through the network port. Is it possible to leave the printer hooked up across the network, but also attach it to a computer via USB just for the scanner? Or would doing this confuse the printer not knowing which port to use for each feature?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the installation data "R147095 Dell Wireless Printer Adaptor 3300 Installation Set-UP.exe". Saved that to a new CD and loaded it to my PC. I get through most of the setup wizard but always fail at the same point - The adapter will not connect to the network. All the usual checks are positive and the network key is correct and in the appropriate case. I have run Driver Detective and that confirms that the drivers for the adapter are up to date. The printer is not yet installed on the PC and the software for it has not been loaded.
I have tried this procedure again on a second PC where the printer had been used as a wired slave printer but have uninstalled the printer first. Same result - Adapter fails to connect to the network.
Router is a Billion Bipac 7800 n. I can get other "newer" devices to connect without problems but this "old" adaptor is proving stubborn.
I have two different friends that are having problems with their printers which are connected to their home network. One has an Lexmark printer wired to their router and running Windows Vista on a laptop. The other has an HP printer connected to the network wirelessly and the laptop is running Windows 7.
In both cases, they are setup to use DHCP. When first setup and the printer software was installed, everything worked fine. Now they each get a message showing 'offline' when they try to print. I went to each of their houses, downloaded and installed the latest printer software and they were printing again. After a short time, the same problem surfaces.
I recently install Windows8 Enterprise build 9200 on my Dell XPS L502X and everything is working fine so far except my modem. In device manager its installed properly but the network manager doesn't list it as an option to connect to (as it usually would in win7),

Samsung technicians have not been able to assist after multiple calls. They sent me to a printer repair store which reported they had no problem with the printer working on their wireless network. One of them will not connect to the internet. I have tried using an ethernet cable connection, and this did not work either. The more worrying thing for me (not being so computer literate) is that I could not even get a response when I pinged the modem when it was connected with a cable to the PC. The network sharing centre says that I have a default gateway access issue or that "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration, I have lost the ability to print with wifi and my Sonos system now no longer connects. I also get a media disconnected message when I do an ipconfig.

Went in to release and renew and got the following error messages:
on release: An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection: An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.
on renew: The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address.
The next thing I tried was to go in an give a manual IP address to the Wireless Adapter. But the TCP/IP properties are greyed out and I receive the following error message:Some of the controls on this property sheet are already open. I have a HP CP2025N laser printer that has been happily working on my Apple network. Now all of a sudden I keep getting a "printer not connected" error. I reset the network to no avail. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer.Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer.All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a very frustrating problem with my new Dell XPS 8500's wireless connection - Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz). Basically, I am losing my network connection every couple of minutes. The process goes something like this:
1) Not connected - Connections are available
2) My network disappears completely (yet all other local networks are still visible) for a matter of seconds then reappears
3) I try to connect and receive "Windows was unable to connect"
4) I press "Troubleshoot problems"
5) "Resolving problems", "Resetting network adapter", "Troubleshooting has completed"
6) Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Fixed
7) I am reconnected to the network/internet with a full 5 bars
8) Process repeats itself five minutes later
I have been able to come to a conclusion that is not the adapter, or the router, but some sort of compatibility issue as:
a) I have tried connecting to a different wireless network and it has worked fine
b) There are other systems in the household that connect to the network and are not experiencing the same issue
It is not a distance issue as router is 2 meters away from the adapter with nothing in between, the other systems that use the network are much further away.
What I have tried so far: - Changing the channel from "Auto" to a set number
The router is a Belkin N300 Wireless N.
I have a 7 month old Dell XPS 17 which has a Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230 (2x2 b/g/n+ Bluetooth Combo Card). I have been using the wireless internet connection via my BT broadband package for months, everything OK, then suddenly the laptop can no longer connect to the internet.
All the diagnostic tools say everything is OK but the broadband modem is having problems. The other laptops on the home WiFi network can all access the internet fine, so the BT broadband IS working, so it must be the DELL Laptop, right?
The laptop keeps telling me to reset the modem, which I have done, but to no avail...it is still working with theother laptops, so this can't be the problem.
We have a new Dell Inspiron15R with Windows 7 installed. Our internet provider requires a User ID and password and therefore requires a redirect to their website.
I get a Windows security message recommending I do not allow the redirect (which I can choose and force the redirect). My question is - Is there a setting I can modify to allow this redirect to eliminate the security warning? Our old laptop ran on XP and redirected without any security warning.
problem with my Dell Latitude D600 Laptop,I tried re-installing my OS, so now with a fresh new OS the wireless capabilities worked fine, but only for the first day, then the next morning the whole problem began again. Now it would say " No supported wireless adapters found" and when i would open the device manager some devices would have the yellow exclamation point, some of the devices would say "Intel PCIC compatible PCMICA controller" and " PCMICA MTD-0002" or just "card bus controller" and many other ones that would alternate when they appear. And also sometimes my network adapters would completely disappear from the list. I also tried scanning my whole drive for viruses and nothing was found.
Then i found that if you disconnect the wireless adapter physically and re connect it, it might work, but it didn't. I should also add that before this problem for some time i had another problem with the same laptop that had to do with the battery malfunctioning, and it displays a 4 orange , 1 green pattern sequence on the LED charge display. But it had never affected any of the laptops hardware or software before, so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

We are running Sharepoint 2007(sp3 and wss sp3) on a dell pe2950 running Server 2003 std x64 sp2, 4 146gb 15k sas raid 10, 16gb ram, dual xeon 516 3ghz. the network card is a quad port intel 1gb pci-x server nic. Was running broadcom net xtreme dual port onboard, and had the same issue.
We are losing partial network connection, after about 14-15 hours of the machine working correctly. What happens is that it cannot ping, or access, any machines not on the same network segment(this machine is on 192.168.3.* and cannot access machines, or be accessed from 192.168.2.*, 192.168.4.*, etc, etc). what i have found is that when i try to ping 192.168.2.210(our dns, dhcp server). its times out about 20 times and replies 2-3 times, and then repeats the cycle all over again. i have done a winsock reset on the machine, and sometimes it starts back up and works again, sometimes it doesn't.
