Just upgraded our WCS server to the 7.x code over the weekend. Turned up the first 3500 series AP's today. The AP's have been up for about an hour. I am seeing the Air Quality graphs on WCS. On the Worst 802.11a/n and 802.11b/g/n Interferers windows, I am see a WCS System Error Page message but only in those windows. I have gone over the documentation and dont see that I need to enable anything else on WCS.

I am unable to obtain DHCP lease either through wireless or wired network. After troubleshooting, I found DHCP service is not running and try to restart but of no avail.I ran sfc /scannow and the results are OK.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am unable to retain the system message logging and config archive references after a reboot of the router. I need to be able track config changes and retain the ability for the customer to recover the original config should they destroy the config through any misguided fiddling on their part. There is no remote management and these router need to be recoverable. I know this used to configured by default on earlier routers as I've checked on teh ones we have, but checking through the configuration has not worked and i have everything configured the same but system messages are still lost on reboot. Im using Cisco 3845 running IPbase 12.4(3) and the config i have is shown below.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have major problem with two new Small Business 300 Series switches.Everytime i try to save the running config i get a GUI error message: "Another copy process is active, please try again later."It's also not possible to re-flash the firmware because the GUI stops responding.I have also tried to do this via console access and this produces a "the copy utility is occupied by another user" error message.-> so this is not a browser based problem.My first thought was that the switch (SG 300-28) is faulty so i unpacked the next new one (SF 300)and got the same error messages!Then i had a 2 hour webex support session with the Cisco Small Business Support and they did not found a reason for this behavior.Both switches are working normally, you can configure them, but after a reboot they are back to factory default again There is no possibilty for copy running config to startup config and it's also not possible to flash the firmware.(Web GUI & Console). tell me if this is a fundamental problem of the 300 Series?

Sometimes, either browsing from my computer, iPad or iPhone, I sometimes get a "can't connect to server" error, and it's not just a few forums here and there, it is a lot of them. But if I give them 5 or 10 minutes they will come. Imkmow that this isn't a normal up issue with sites servers actually being down. I thought it was a Google chrome issue, but it's been happening on safari. It hasn't started till we switched our Internet plan to 3mbps and a new router.

View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter making some physical changes to my home network (which had been running for sometime without incident) my desktop machine stopped (home built MSI X58 Platinum MB) talking to the network. I get "media not connected" even though I am connected, and the connection works for any other computer I attach. I get indication of proper physical connection at both ends (router and computer ethernet port), however I get no connection and the default 169 .... IP address. It does not matter if I create a fixed IP address in the router and set the ip address of the port to correspond. I have tried all the ip resets, stack resets, remove and reinstall the network ports, etc., to no avail. Connecting directly to the cable modem did not work. I even installed a new buss ethernet card with its own drivers and I get the same 'media not connected'.

My laptop will not connect through my router anymore. I'm getting the message ( Cannot communicate with Primary DNS server (192.168.1.254). It works fine with an ethernet cable. I have a WII that uses the router also and I can watch a Netflix movie on it so the router seems to be working. My desktop computer is working fine through a DSL connection. The laptop is a Gateway and is running Vista.

I confused with terms 'maximum supported vlans' and 'maximum locally supported vlans'. If switch is supporting vlans 1-4094 means it should also allow to create locally. Otherwise how they will pass through the switch trunks without local creation.
