I am having a problem with my cisco 3660 router. I have installed a wic 2T interface card and every time i set it to "no shutdown" the interface always went down and keep getting the following message " %FECPM-2-SCCFAIL: Init of SCC2 for int 0/0 failed to do fecpm_dma_init" .

I have Nexus 7K installations in 2 locations. Both of them have multiple VDCs. In default VDC there are continous tacacs error message though tacacs is not configured. The requests are from various public IPs where thsi VDC is not exposed to Internet at all. What would be t he cause of it?

I am troubleshooting interface resets on a 3660 connected to a 3550 over Fast Ethernet. I have hard coded both sides for full duplex and 100Mbit. The 3660 is incrementing interface resetes about 4-6 times a day and the 3550 is clean. I have noticed this in other similar configurations as well.

Laptop connects to wifi network. But it shows "No Internet Access" message.My Macbook connects to the internet just fine and the wifi on my iphone works as well.The ethernet on the laptop works and I am able to access the internet this way. The laptop does connect to some of the other access points but I've had issues with my router.I tried the usual debugging mechanisms - disable/enable adapter, reset the router, reset the tcp/ip stack. Sometimes, either browsing from my computer, iPad or iPhone, I sometimes get a "can't connect to server" error, and it's not just a few forums here and there, it is a lot of them. But if I give them 5 or 10 minutes they will come. Imkmow that this isn't a normal up issue with sites servers actually being down. I thought it was a Google chrome issue, but it's been happening on safari. It hasn't started till we switched our Internet plan to 3mbps and a new router.

View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter making some physical changes to my home network (which had been running for sometime without incident) my desktop machine stopped (home built MSI X58 Platinum MB) talking to the network. I get "media not connected" even though I am connected, and the connection works for any other computer I attach. I get indication of proper physical connection at both ends (router and computer ethernet port), however I get no connection and the default 169 .... IP address. It does not matter if I create a fixed IP address in the router and set the ip address of the port to correspond. I have tried all the ip resets, stack resets, remove and reinstall the network ports, etc., to no avail. Connecting directly to the cable modem did not work. I even installed a new buss ethernet card with its own drivers and I get the same 'media not connected'.

My laptop will not connect through my router anymore. I'm getting the message ( Cannot communicate with Primary DNS server (192.168.1.254). It works fine with an ethernet cable. I have a WII that uses the router also and I can watch a Netflix movie on it so the router seems to be working. My desktop computer is working fine through a DSL connection. The laptop is a Gateway and is running Vista.

I confused with terms 'maximum supported vlans' and 'maximum locally supported vlans'. If switch is supporting vlans 1-4094 means it should also allow to create locally. Otherwise how they will pass through the switch trunks without local creation.
