I have a router Cisco 2800, but always is in Rommon, the message show is:
device does not contain a valid file system

I'm have upgraded our ASA5510's from 7.0.8 to 8.4.3 and now I just need to do the ASDM, but get this error? The bin file has been uploaded: [code] Device Manager image set, but not a valid image file disk0:/asdm-647.bin.
We are using LMS 3.2.1 with SP1 and Campus Manager 5.2.2.Server runs Windows 2003 R2.Everything runs fine except for User Tracking on two Catalyst 6500 switches running CatOS. These devices are discovered, reachable, SNMP works fine, neighbors seen. But when we try to launch acquisition, the UT utility complains with this error message:"Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device."When we wanted to add ports via Device Trap Configuration, LMS has fired a different error message: "There are no ports to configure for the selected device(s).Check whether you have selected any router(s)." I have checked the portsData.xml file, which doesn't have any ports included for the two devices: [code] We have tried to exclude / include the switches in the data collection, but that didn't work.
I don't have a USB to serial adapter handy, and was wondering if had success breaking to the Rommon prompt during system reload (boot sequence) using the USB console on a Cisco 1941 router?
I'd like to know if it's possible to change the system message for each ephone independently with CME ?I mean, changing an ephone's system message without changing others' ones.
I'm using "WS-C4948(12.2(54)SG)+PWR-C49-300AC/2". The following message are logged in the system log, but it was to check the status with the show command and status LED, but there was no abnormality. I thought the power supply has failed, but I seem different.

I want to download the iOS update to my Cisco 2800 Series Routers and Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches and leave them there till im ready to install them. Is this possible?
Just upgraded our WCS server to the 7.x code over the weekend. Turned up the first 3500 series AP's today. The AP's have been up for about an hour. I am seeing the Air Quality graphs on WCS. On the Worst 802.11a/n and 802.11b/g/n Interferers windows, I am see a WCS System Error Page message but only in those windows. I have gone over the documentation and dont see that I need to enable anything else on WCS.
I'm configuring a console server for configuring remote devices. This is working well except for the fact that if a target device is in ROMMON mode, the console server refuses to displays the target device console. It does open the connection but the ROMMON prompt is not shown on the console server . This is essential for this device as we will need to use it to reset passwords remotely and thus need to be able to access ROMMON mode from the console server.
Parts used are a 2951 router and a HWIC-8A serial card. Posted my config below:
For some reason I am unable to retain the system message logging and config archive references after a reboot of the router. I need to be able track config changes and retain the ability for the customer to recover the original config should they destroy the config through any misguided fiddling on their part. There is no remote management and these router need to be recoverable. I know this used to configured by default on earlier routers as I've checked on teh ones we have, but checking through the configuration has not worked and i have everything configured the same but system messages are still lost on reboot. Im using Cisco 3845 running IPbase 12.4(3) and the config i have is shown below.
New computer (Win7 desktop), works OK. Router is Linksys 310N. But, there are constant problems with "invalid URL" message. I was told a while back to hard code my DNS settings into the connection. That seemed OK, but last night, again got "invalid URL message" so I went back to getting DNS servers automatically. (what prompted the change was that I couldn't get to washingtpost.com). So, today I'm on NYTimes.com and everything is OK but when I try to access two pages (Op-Ed) I get "file not found". (IT was originally two pages and now it's many more.) I've had people look at the output from IPCONFIG /ALL; but any pointers, tips, etc. This seems limited to my desktop computer; the laptop on the same router is OK (also Win7).
i have acer travelmate2350. i want to use internet in my laptop by wireless but i am getting a message "no supported wireless adapters available in the system" on the icon of wireless (red cross is also showing).
I have a 512MB USB Flash device and was able to boot the IOS on the C2960 from it.After that i tried to Copy the IOS file from the USB to the system flash, but it could not find the USB Device.At plugging in the device the systems tells me: "Transfer type 2 not supported" I configured the USB device in NTFS and FAT both are able to boot with the ROMMON, but the normal system does not accept them and i know i can do the copy over a TFTP from my laptop, but it is strange that rommon accepts the usb device and the system does not?
I have Dell Inspiron 15 3520 laptop bought in December 2012 with Windows 8 Pro. It was working fine until two days ago. I am unable to obtain DHCP lease either through wireless or wired network. After troubleshooting, I found DHCP service is not running and try to restart but of no avail.I ran sfc /scannow and the results are OK.

After unable to connect to my wireless network, I did a restore - but got a message: System restore failed to replace the file (C:WindowsServiceProfilesLocalServiceAppDataRoamingPeerNetworking98c An unspecified error occurred during System Restore (0x80070002)I've tried 3 restores to get the same message.Am at a loss to get the computer back on line.Running win7 (32Bit) with Norton 360.
I have been having a few problems with my IBM T42 Laptop for a while now. I was originally running Windows XP on this system and about 12 months ago I installed Ubuntu 9 on it to mess around a bit with the OS and have a basic, non-Microsoft laptop in the house that I could use for browing the web and IM, etc... The laptop needed a clean install anway as Windows XP was running like a dog. Originally it was dual boot but once I got happy with Ubuntu I did a clean install and everything worked reasonably well. I had a few issues with the wireless LAN adapter and compatibilty, but sorted it out following a few forums (firware updates, driver updates) and everything was great. I upgraded to the Ubuntu 10.04 OS and then started having some issues. Essentially my browser would freeze randomly. Again, I visted the forums and had no joy in sorting out the problem. I reverted the OS back to Ubuntu 9 and the problem persisted. So I gave up on it totally around 6 months ago.
Last week I fired up the laptop again and decided I would use the IBM restore utility and the disks I created a couple of years ago to put on a clean install of Windows XP and see how things went. So far I have done all the Windows XP updates (SP3, etc...), I have been to the Lenovo website and updated all drivers, firmware, BIOS, etc... every little problem I have had has been sorted with a software or firmware update which I have successfully implemented. All niggles have been sorted bar one.The only problem I have left now is very odd. Everything works fine and at reasonable speed considering the age and specs of my system. When I connect via cable to my router/modem all network and internet services work fine. I have had no issues. But when I connect via wireless, intermittently my system will completely freeze - no errors, no logs - nothing. No sounds, just frozen screen. Hard reboot is the only thing that I can do to get back online.Further investigating the issue - the freezing occurs when I click on a link to download something. I can browse anything - I have tried videos (youtube) and have no problems at all - but if I click to download a file (software upgrade pack, pdf document, Qucktime player) the system freezes up and ONLY when connected wirelessly via the inbuilt Cisco Wireless LAN adapter. i recently bought a new Supervisor Engine 720 WS-SUP720-3B and 48-port 10/100/1000 RJ45 EtherModule WS-X6148A-GE-45AF. Once i fired it all up i got this error %C6KPWR-SP-4-UNSUPPORTED: unsupported module in slot 2, power not allowed: Unknown Card Type. the System image file is "bootdisk:s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXE6a.bin".
I have a 6509 up and running the same mods and working fine BUT the System image file is sup-bootdisk:s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.122-18.SXF7.bin. Is the boot image what is causing my isses?
So I was having trouble loading a game on my computer and I was scrolling through forums looking for an answer and one answer that supposively worked for a lot of people was to unisntall and reinstall my network card.IT told me to go to devices -> right click network adapter -> uninstall -> then scan for hardwarer changes to reinstall When I clicked uninstall an error message popped up and said "Unable to uninstall device because device is required on startup" and then it apparently just uninstalled it anyway and it showed back up after I clicked "scan for hardware changes".Now ever since, everytime I try and connect to the internet my computer says "Limited or no connectivity" and I'm unable to access the internet on that computer, the computer I am on now can connect just fine, so it must have something to do with the network card that i supposively unisntalled.
I have upgraded to prime LMS 4.2.2 (from 4.0.1) and can not perform system or device upgrade. Using wireshark I can see why. it looks like LMS is trying to go to this old web [URL] to get software. I believe this was fixed years ago in bug CSCto46927.
Can I reapply bug fix CSCto46927 on 4.2.3 or is there another fix?
A few weeks ago, I bought a Linksys AE2500 wireless adapter, and it's worked fine up until a few days ago. A few days ago, when I turned on my computer, I could not connect to the internet. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, but I am denied every time; the message I get is "A device attached to the system is not functioning".I've tried connecting to the internet with my other wireless box I used prior to getting the AE2500 and I cannot connect with that, either. The only way I can connect on this computer is with an ethernet cable.
We have an Asterisk/FreePBX phone system located behind an ASA 5505 device where we are having problems with sip inspection.
We connect to three different phone providers, and things works as expected for 2 of the 3 providers,but for the last one (Draytel) we are having problems with sip inspection.
The key difference about the VoIP provider where we are having problems is that they are using differetn servers for the voice (RTP) traffic than the server we are registered with to establish SIP sessions.
sip inspection is configured with the default out of the box options.The problems we see are this:
1. For ingoing calls sip inspection does not open the required pinhole to allow the traffic to flow through. As a result we can not hear the voice of the calling party, but voice from our side is passed through ok.As a workaround we have added and ACE allowing traffic in the used UDP (RTP) range from this VoIP providers ip addresses to pass through the ASA, and with that in place incoming calls work.
2. Outgoing calls doesn't work because sip inspection doesn't kick in, and as a result of this we forward internal ip addresses in the SIP / SDP body to the VoIP provider. I'm not sure whether this is a consequence of sip inspection not kicking in for this provider, or a result of having added the ACE for an ip ragnge that covers the ip address we register with.
As stated above sip inspection does work as expected for two other providers where all traffic goes through a single server.We actually have had this working with ASA firmware 7.2(4), but as that version intermittently had a problem where sip inspection would stop working (fixable by power off/on or a clear command), then we decided to upgrade.

I want my computer to send a SMS txt message to my cell phone when a certain text message get written to by another program. Purpose is to alert to a certain action, an event, has occured that the program is monitoring.The cell phone uses Verizon as the carrier.
