I have some questions regarding the addition of custom services and their use in QoS for RV routers (I use the RV220W). Suppose I create a custom service as:
Name: My Service
Port: TCP 60000
1. Does this port number refer to the port number used by my LAN computer or the port number on the other side e.g. some computer on Internet I am using this service to connect to? Some services use the same port number on the side that initiates the service and the receiving end but there are services that use different ports for the initiating and receiving end. So, what is the meaning of the port number when creating a custom service?
LAN Computer : (port TCP 60000) <----> Internet computer : (some TCP port, not necessarily 60000) - or -

Each Of our distribution centers have a PIX501 and from there about 3-5 AP's each. The AP's that were primmed before instalation work great, however we need the ability to get the other ones that were already installed and not finding controller to work with out cycling them through main campus. I have opened up UDP ports 12222-12223 and 5246-5246 with no luck.

When this happened, the interface that was actually blocked by STP didn't come to forwarding state, and as a result this switch became isolated.This switch is connected to a switch that runs standard MST, and to some switches that run PVST but have bpdufilter enabled as we don't want them to participate on the STP. As far as I knew, when a MST pre-standard BPDU was received, the interface was able to receive more pre-standard BPDUs, but I didn't know it would turn the link down. Why the links went down, and if there is any way we can configure those links to accept only MST standard BPDUs.
I would also like to know if there is any chance a switch running PVST can send a MST pre-standard BPDU if it has a software version 12.2(25)SEE3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've installed Cisco ACS 5.3. After I created several internal users (defined password and enabled password), Identiy Groups, Access Polices, Network Devices and AAA Clients (e.g. Cisco 1841) for Radius and configured my Router like this:

Now I'm able to login successful using my internal User. But if I try to use enable to enter the enable level I'll receive the message "% Error in authentication." when I use the defined enable password.
In the ACS logging I'll can see that "$enab15$" is missing. If I setup a user name "$enab15" I can login to enable level, but what have I to do, to use the custom enable passwords?

View 1 Replies View RelatedLMS 4.2, W2K8 R2.I was having an issue with discovery adding devices to with corrupt information (seemingly random strings of characters in several fields). While I was trying to clean this up a scheduled discovery kicked off and further exacerbated the issues I was having. Frustrated, I deleted all entries from the discovery schedule until I could get things cleaned up.
Now I want to go back and troubleshoot the discovery process. Trouble is, I can't get discovery to do anything anymore. I disabled all modules but CDP. I added a single seed IP address under the CDP configuration. This is the address of a 3560V2 switch that is not in DCR. When I started discovery it completed in about 2 seconds and didn't discover anything, including the seed device. So I added another 3560V2 as a seed device under global settings. Same results. Thinking that it had been working using scheduled discovery, I set up a schedule and kicked it off that way. Same results. Finally I added one of these seed devices to DCR and let LMS fully learn about it. Ran another discovery. Still no joy.
I started an SNMP debug on the seed devices before starting discovery. I see the SNMP get coming from LMS, the switches respond and the discovery completes with 0 devices discovered.CS Discovery.log contains no meaningful information. Only messages about "No appenders could be found for logger".
