I try to make custom web-auth bundle for WLC 2125. User authentication from this custom page work fine, but any error messages about wrong login/pass not work.
Is this supported function for custom pages? If yes, could you result a working html-code?
We have blocked some sites in router which our user cannot access and it gets them default browser message "pages cannot be displayed". But I want to display pages like "You are trying to access unauthorized website" or something like that when they try to open such websites.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a custom webauth page installed that I am using with web passthrough authentication on my WLC2006 in order to put up a acceptable use policy page. The WLC uses HTTPS to display this which causes a security certificate warning to appear if I go with the WLC's own self-signed certificate. Is there a way I can get the WLC to use plain HTTP to display this page instead so I can eliminate the warning? I have already tried installing a trusted 3rd party certificate on the WLC, but I have this very strange problem where mucking with the WLC's web authentication certificate in any manner causes all network activity on the WLC to break except for CDP and ARP, essentially leaving the WLC dead. Three weeks of troubleshooting with Cisco TAC has yielded no progress on that front so now I am trying to bypass the need for a security certificate altogether since I really don't need to encrypt my acceptable use policy page.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWe're not getting the authentication webpage from the WLC, Normally the webpage would appear with a 1.1.1.1 url and you are presented with the username and password boxes. It authentics those, which are Active Directory credentials , and lets you in.Now we're not getting that page at all just the browser message about unable to display.I've phyically checked the WLC card in our 6500 and lights are green no alarms and I'm able to log on to the WLC as well.I was told someone had rebooted the controller to try to resolve the problem but its' still the same.Is it the case that the web page has just stopped and needs to be restarted some how?

I configured the virtual interface with the addredd 1.1.1.1 SSID Layer 2 security: None SSID Layer 3 security: Web Policy enabled
I join the ssid with clients, receive the IP address correctly however when I try to open a web page, the login page does not appear. When I check the client status I see that it stuck in WEBAUTH_REQD state.
i tried to create a customized web-authentication page that will re-direct any user to the web-page once they are connected to the network.
The problem is, i just cant attach/upload the image of the logo into the customized web-page (welcome/login page).Been researching about it, found and tried some clue bout it on cisco documentation, but still can't solve the problem.

Additionally, we don't have access to rs-232 port on AP. In this moment on WLC we can see DISCOVERY request from AP and response from WLC to AP, but AP don't send JOIN to controller.

If I try the configuration 20*0,5 gain antenna and Tx power 1 the controller show me one error and the controller don't permit this configuration. Why don't permit this configuration?
I have WLC 2125 on version 6.0.182.0 and AP's on version 12.4(21a)JA.I also have a load more AP's (newones) 1041's with IOS version 15.2.

These access points were fat access points from the factory and were applied with LAP ios so that they can join our controller. We have 2 controllers 5108 for Internal network office use and a seperate 2125 for Guest internet both these are physically seperate networks. These AP's have been working fine since say like 8-9 months and suddenly they started giving problems. The status light keeps changing colour and the AP does not join the controller 2125. Whenever i am connecting this ap to our internal network it joins the controller 5508 and works fine but somehow does not register with our 2125 guest controller. This issue is being faced by one of our client. Could this be an issue due to the ap being loaded with lap ios or does it have anything to do with the different software version fo the controllers as i could not find any things regarding this.

I cannot get the older Cisco IPSec (Version 5.0.05.0290) client to work through the ACL and through the WLAN onto it's destination. When the Cisco IPSec client is on another unrestricted WLAN, it works. I have allowed TCP/UDP 500, 4500, TCP 10000 both directions and it fails. I can see the denys counters incrementing but cannot figure out what is being blocked.

The problem is that the handheld connects to the WLC but sometimes it shows that it has lost wireless signal. Users say that this happens when they go from one site to another. I go to that specific site with my AirMagnet tool and it shows full signal. The customer is saying that WLC is not working with roaming properly.
The handheld is a Dolphin 7900.

I have industrial barcode scanners that connect to one SSID and then there is the business network on the office SSID (no vlan seperation for these devices just different SSIDs). There is not really a need to seperate the business network from the scanners in any case. However, there are needs for a guest network and this needs to be seperated. At the bare minumum I would like to have the wireless guest network. Here is what I have: 2125 Wireless LAN controller managing 18 LAPs (1 indoor and 17 outdoors)Cisco Cat 2950 switches (2 x 24 port and soon to be replaced with 2 x 48 port 2960's with 802.1x capability) Sonicwall TZ210 firewallOne existing wired and trunked vlan for PLC infrastructure. One ESXi hosting Windows server guests (soon to be 2 with vMotion) The reason for the wired guest access network is tp prevent anyone from plugging into the wall jack in the office with thier home laptops or anyone else from being on the same subnet as our domain machines. Granted they would be unathenticaed but there would be no layer 2 seperation and that is what I think would be best.
How would I go about doing this on the wireless controller without an anchor controller just using my existing hardware? I would like to have the Guest SSID only availible in the front office. Is it possible to offer a guest network while still servicing the business network SSID on the same access point? Then might I be able to have the guest network be treated as it should at the controller? However this might present another issue altogether as the guest traffic will be over the same wire as the business SSID until it hits the controller for management.
I have built my own computer and have almost finished with everything, but I am unsure as to how to set up the wireless capabilities for it. I am submitting this thread on the computer itself, but am using an ethernet cord to connect to the internet. I don't know if I need to download and install a different driver or if there is a simple way to just change some settings in the control panel. I am using windows 7 64 bit. The networking hardware is a realtek 8111f Gigabit LAN controller

Is it possible to modify the shape of the heatmaps of the APs? I know how to regulate TX power of the radios and all works great but how can I controll RF leakage outside the perimiter of the building? Is it possible to controll the RF so that it will not be going outside and same time giving a good coverage inside?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are trying to get the waep template (default no changes) from the Cisco WebAuth bundle to work on a 5508 controller.
We've setup the controller to use the custom login.tar that comes with the waep template folder in the bundle. We setup the WLAN to work off the global template and we used the config network web-auth secureweb disable command to allow only http rather than https (which is supposed to work in 7.2 code)
When we test with the custom bundle, we get no answer from the controller, just a url of [URL]
If we turn custom off, and use internal everything works...
Just to be clear.. we aren't looking for authentication (user and pass) we are trying to do the enter your email and click accept to the aup method.
I look forward to the new firmware can improve this problem.

It asks me to set up a static LAN IP (10.x.x.x range) and edit the DHCP pool of the router. When I'm logged in to the routers admin, it doesn't seem I'm able to do any of this.
Earlier in the tutorial it also asked me to set up a static IP for the router, which I did I suppose.
I've added a screenshot of the admin panel, in case that's relevant.
I am configuring Clientless SSL VPN on ASA5505 with 8.2(2)17. After the login, default page should be "Home", but if activating "Anyconnect". it always goes to Anyconnect as a first page. If disabling "Anyconnect" using SSL VPN Customization Editor --> Portal --> Application, it always goes to the other one. Never get "Home" as a first page, can I set the first page manually?

Until version 6 there was a feature to directly set a password via the dbadmin command.
whats the difference between custom and standard discovery? There´s a line on the help page: "The Use Policy Configuration Settings radio button will be enabled only after adding a Default Credential Set Policy."The radio button is not enabled although I´ve two default credential sets and two default credential sets policy configuration.
