I have cisco wlc 2125 and external web autherthation was configured on it. When user disable the java script in browser cisco wlc do not redirect on my external page instead of wlc show page http://1.1.1.1/login.html with cisco logo. How can i resolve this problem? How to configure wlc redirect to external web auth site with disabled java in users browser?

Additionally, we don't have access to rs-232 port on AP. In this moment on WLC we can see DISCOVERY request from AP and response from WLC to AP, but AP don't send JOIN to controller.

I have a Cisco 2125 Wireless Lan Controller and I have problem with hold coverage errors and I had tri different solutions with different antenna, the resume is:The antena gain 10*0,5 Dbi(Using a 5 Dbi antenna or 10 Dbi antenna) with Tx power 1 and the antenna gain 20*0,5 Dbi (using 10Dbi antenna) with Tx power 3 the coverage is the same.
If I try the configuration 20*0,5 gain antenna and Tx power 1 the controller show me one error and the controller don't permit this configuration. Why don't permit this configuration?
I have WLC 2125 on version 6.0.182.0 and AP's on version 12.4(21a)JA.I also have a load more AP's (newones) 1041's with IOS version 15.2.
So i have to upgrade my WLC because the newones are not compatable with the old WLC version.What will happen to the old AP's ?I was told they will automatically update the IOS version.These AP's (oldones) are not on site, they are in a differnet LAN.

These access points were fat access points from the factory and were applied with LAP ios so that they can join our controller. We have 2 controllers 5108 for Internal network office use and a seperate 2125 for Guest internet both these are physically seperate networks. These AP's have been working fine since say like 8-9 months and suddenly they started giving problems. The status light keeps changing colour and the AP does not join the controller 2125. Whenever i am connecting this ap to our internal network it joins the controller 5508 and works fine but somehow does not register with our 2125 guest controller. This issue is being faced by one of our client. Could this be an issue due to the ap being loaded with lap ios or does it have anything to do with the different software version fo the controllers as i could not find any things regarding this.

I cannot get the older Cisco IPSec (Version 5.0.05.0290) client to work through the ACL and through the WLAN onto it's destination. When the Cisco IPSec client is on another unrestricted WLAN, it works. I have allowed TCP/UDP 500, 4500, TCP 10000 both directions and it fails. I can see the denys counters incrementing but cannot figure out what is being blocked.

The problem is that the handheld connects to the WLC but sometimes it shows that it has lost wireless signal. Users say that this happens when they go from one site to another. I go to that specific site with my AirMagnet tool and it shows full signal. The customer is saying that WLC is not working with roaming properly.
The handheld is a Dolphin 7900.
I have written a java server-client program. The server accepts incoming connections on port 2175 and writes responses on 2176 which the client listens on for the response. I am sending serialzed objects over the network.
Problem: This all works well if I run my client on the same machine as the server. I put together a client jar and deployed it on another machine running on the same wireless network as the server. Now I get a "ConnectionException :Connection refused". So I thought I should hardcode the server and client IP's but that still didnt work.
Question: What else would I have to do to get the two computers to talk to each other (in terms of networking not java)?

I have industrial barcode scanners that connect to one SSID and then there is the business network on the office SSID (no vlan seperation for these devices just different SSIDs). There is not really a need to seperate the business network from the scanners in any case. However, there are needs for a guest network and this needs to be seperated. At the bare minumum I would like to have the wireless guest network. Here is what I have: 2125 Wireless LAN controller managing 18 LAPs (1 indoor and 17 outdoors)Cisco Cat 2950 switches (2 x 24 port and soon to be replaced with 2 x 48 port 2960's with 802.1x capability) Sonicwall TZ210 firewallOne existing wired and trunked vlan for PLC infrastructure. One ESXi hosting Windows server guests (soon to be 2 with vMotion) The reason for the wired guest access network is tp prevent anyone from plugging into the wall jack in the office with thier home laptops or anyone else from being on the same subnet as our domain machines. Granted they would be unathenticaed but there would be no layer 2 seperation and that is what I think would be best.
How would I go about doing this on the wireless controller without an anchor controller just using my existing hardware? I would like to have the Guest SSID only availible in the front office. Is it possible to offer a guest network while still servicing the business network SSID on the same access point? Then might I be able to have the guest network be treated as it should at the controller? However this might present another issue altogether as the guest traffic will be over the same wire as the business SSID until it hits the controller for management.
I am quite new to WCS and preparing a demo for a client. I am also using WLC2125 with LAP1252s for this setup. Is it possible to modify the shape of the heatmaps of the APs? I know how to regulate TX power of the radios and all works great but how can I controll RF leakage outside the perimiter of the building? Is it possible to controll the RF so that it will not be going outside and same time giving a good coverage inside?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a user authentication issue with our WLAN deployment. My issue relates to the guest access WLAN. First a brief descrition of our setup. We have a local WLC in the branch office (5508) with two SSIDs configured, CorpNet for the internal network and GuestNet of external guest access. We also have a WLC (5508) in the DMZ to provide the guest access. We are using Cisco ISE server to authenticate guest users via a web portal.
The authentication process works as it should. An external client gets an IP in the DMZ and is redirected to the web portal to authenticate their account. When they do they are able to access and browse the internet. No problems. My issue is that if we disable their account (ie suspend or delete it) in ISE it does not seem to terminate the users session and they can continue to have internet access. What I would like to happen is that when the account is disabled in ISE then the associated device's access to the internet is removed.

I'm installing a new platform LMS 4.0.1 under VMWare and Windows 2008 R2.
I installed via Windows 2008 R2 Patch without problem in LMS 4.0, then updated in LMS 4.0.1.
I'm facing several issues during this installation.
The first issue I have is the following:
When I launched topology services, java jre file jre-6u22-windows-i586-p_withjacorb.exe was downloaded and I saved it on disk.
I clicked on file to install it and get the following message during the installation:

It tried to install certificate without success. I have internet access to java.com but it seems publisher is not trusted.

Just installed an ASA 5505 with AnyConnect Essentials. AnyConnect installation works fine on some windows boxes (All flavors) but have a couple machines with issues. This makes it clearly a computer side issue. When I try to log into the ASA to download the client with IE 9 the ASA just keeps asking for my logon credentials. If I I use Firefox my credentials work and I get as far as the "Using Sun java for installation" with instructions to click yes on the java security warning. The Java Security warning never arrives like on machines that don't have this problem. Firefox just hangs and has to be killed by task maanger. Remove and reinstall of both Java and Firefox fail to correct the problem. Any AnyConnect clientside recovery tips beyond Java and Browser reinstall?
A Google search show a few folks using Ubuntu and old PPC Macs seeing the same java error I get on these couple of windows boxen. [code]

I can run ASDM in one of my VM's, but it's a pain.
