Cisco :: Disable Client Function Missing From WCS 7.0.172.0?
Sep 27, 2011
I have been trying to manually disable clients from within WCS by calling up the client in 'Monitor Client' and then in previous versions you used to be able to select 'Disable Client' from the drop down list. This would take you to the template page where you would deploy this to the controller(s). It's not there anymore in my version. It means you have to do it manually, which is really annoying.
I was wondering how I could disable the internet function in my desktop computer using my laptop. My reason for this is that I dont want my son to be on the computer after 11, so Im trying to disable the internet using my laptop, I wouldnt mind if it disabled the laptop internet at the same time.
I have configured my ASA5520 to act as VPN server. It accepts connections from the internet and then it authenticates the user to a Windows 2008 Server via Radius.Everything works fine if I use the VPN client embedded in Microsoft Windows. Conversely, if I try to configure Cisco VPN Client, I cannot find where to define the PSK string.
I need to create a Cisco VPN Client connection: I am following the cisco vpn client link and I don't have the command crypto isakmep client configuration group XXXXX
[URL]
This is what I get: crypto isakmp client configuration ? address-pool Set network address for client
This is my show version, if there is an IOS that will work:
Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-IK9S-M), Version 12.2(17a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Copyright (c) 1986-2003 by cisco Systems, Inc.
I have one wlc 5508 running on latest IOS 7.116, there is one wlan abc which i have disable status and disable broadcast, but randomly still i can see from wlc dashboard there is one client connected to this wlan abc. The moment i check on the client details, there is no client connected to that wlan and when return to dashboard, no more client connected to that wlan abc.
This PC has lost browser features because DNS has ceased to function. I can ping an external IP address, however DNS queries are met with the response "Ping request could not find host <URL>. Please check the name and try again." A VM on the same machine has no problem. Is there a root DNS utility on the host platform and a way to diagnose it.
i have a router in my sons room. It is separate from my house. My signal is weak and I can't use my printer with its wireless fucntion. should i buy another router or a repeater
I have a WRT160N and a WAP4410N but can not get WAP function as a repeater. I have already put as Wireless Client / Repeater and Wireless WDS Repeater. I notice they are both with the same settings security. View attach file.
My company has a spare 7200 VXR, originally planned to be placed on our TDM network. This plan was not followed through, but I'd like to switch it's function to work as a core router on our BGP network. I'd like for this 7200 to be able to handle full routes from our eBGP peer, something the SUP module in my 6500 isn't capable of doing. What kind of SUP module should i look at replacing this 7200 VXR with?
We have got 3 Cisco APs 541N with firmware version 9.2.2 and want to set up the cluster function for those APs.Here is the problem:Before enabling the cluster you can ping all three APs located in the same local network with a delay of 1ms or below. If the cluster is enabled the pings for one AP rise above 200 ms in a random way (see attached file). Moreover users connected to that AP are more likely to lose the connection or experience delay.Do the APs communicate through LAN or WLAN ?
We have a customer with ACS 4.2 Appliances who currently uses the Layer 3 web-redirect guest function to authenticate users against AD via ACS and LDAP to the AD, its a mixture of un-managed Windows, Mac & linux clients.
They want to move to an 802.1x solution.
Now MS-CHAPv2 is proably the obvoius choice (maybe it isnt considering Linux and MAC clients ... comments???). However the only option to integrate with AD is LDAP i.e remote agents or an upgrade to 5.x is out of the question.
i have internet srevice working with my wireless usb stick or ethernet wire from my gateway modum. in device maneger i have network adapters listed and a question mark before network controller. windows auto update lists no driver avalible for it, and i would like to know it function/purpose?
Was having problems with my router, thought I could figure out how to fix it myself, and ended up screwing it up more. Right now everything somewhat works being wired. Xbox Live is a little spotty. Have never had a problem with it before. I have done all the resets, factory resets, hard resets, and any other names. When I attempt to enter any sort of IP addresses, default Belkins and ones I see when viewing ipconfig, all it does is perform a Google Search with the numbers.
Formatted my inspiron 1010 and since then F2 does not function. I have downloaded the enable/disable utility. Nothing happened. The system does not show any wireless network available. The icon shows that the wireless LAN and WAN/GPS are enabled.
my samsung laptop is not connectiong to the internet wireless network . my other dell computer is working but samsung laptop says there ius no wireless connectivity.
I installed windows 7 onto my laptop and before i install when i would press a function key a symbol would appear on the screen. But now when i press the function key no symbol would appear on my laptop screen. i cant see how much my volume is up or down or either my brightness.
I'm trying to play some online games and my WAG320N does not forward ports, upnp does not function and to top it off DMZ wont even work (not a software firewall issue either). I have the latest firmware (and honestly the stock firmware is terrible).
Am I out of luck or is there something I can do to fix this? I sure as hell will be steering clear of linksys products after this.
I have a 128mb connection with a sa 500 series fw/router. When I turn on the ips function my throughput drops to 15 Mbps and the CPU max goes up to 100%. What gives?
What is the function of the VPC peer-link? Should be the composite of all VPC links that are dual homed between switches? is it necessary to have 8 x 10G links as shown above. The links connecting the 7Ks to the 5Ks are VPC links.
i was able to configure (via SF200 web interface) a port mapping from port FE17 to FE7.i have supressed this port mapping.
when i try to reconfigure a port mapping from port FE17 to FE3. The SF200 web interface crash. the SF200 seems to reboot.
i have updated the SF200 firmware from V1.1.2.0 to V1.1.2.9.44.when i was able to configure (via SF200 web interface) a port mapping from port FE17 to FE7.But after having suppressed this port mapping again, i was not able to reconfigure a new port mapping from port FE1 to FE3 (the SF200 hangs).
I am trying to configure a Cisco SPA8000 to function as a SIP ATA behind a RV220W router. I cannot seem to get port forwarding working or otherwise allow the SIP traffic to the SPA8000. When I replace the RV220W with another router / firewall everything works fine, but when I put in the RV220W I am not able to register etc. I have been over and over the manual and "yes" I have the SIP ALG enabled. Here is my setup:
I have run into a problem replacing an old Linksys BEFVP41 with a SA520. The BEFVP41 had an address on the LAN defined as a DMZ. That address was another router. It is in the same subnet as the local LAN and I am not sure what ports it uses. It is controlled by an outside group and requires much delay and paperwork to change the address. The new SA520 will only support a DMZ if it is in a different subnet than the LAN. Any way to simulate the old DMZ function on the newer router? I have not yet been able to obtain a list of all ports that should go to the second router. Didn't know if there was a way to forward all ports like the old BEFVP41 does by setting a DMZ address.
Cd/rw drawer was bumped and now is most likely off track. Closed now, but now computer is not functioning correctly and will not connect to the internet for some strange reason..have unplugged and disconnected and reconnected all, to no avail. This is an older tower and belongs to a neighbor.
