Feb 17, 2013We have an ASA 5520 with two VPN profiles working fine.Since some users are now working with Windows 8, VPN clients for Cisco ASA is not able to connect.I have read there are problems for such VPN Clients in that OS, and I should use now Anyconnect for them to connect. I thought we had anyconnect working also, because some users can connect to a web page they can do some kind of connections to internal servers, (web, telnet, rdp, etc) so I installed cisco anyconnect VPN client in a laptop and try to connect (same IP and port I used for that web page) but after signing I get the message AnyConnect is not enabled on the VPN Server.So I tried to follow a configuration guide for Anyconnect, but there's a step in which I am trapped, these are the steps: Click Configuration, and then click Remote Access VPN.

Check the ReadOnly community string." I double checked the SNMP credentials, they do match. For testing I also added a Public community just for the PI. these switch are connected to a CAT4500, I know that I can only use LACP because of cross-stack but when I force the switch to use LACP witch channel-group 2 Mode active the switch do this :

I don't know how to bundle the 2 ports on the 2960 stack. each time I use : channel-group 2 mode on there is no error

Im not sure whats going on. I have two routers(cisco 2600 series) plus my 2509 cisco router I am going to use for a access server. I have a two switches 2950 series and I have the access server connected to all of them via a octal cable.

May 30, 2011i have a ZyXel prestige 650H-31 Model # router and i'm not able to go on to configuration page of the router i tried 192.168.1.1 several times, even after system reboot and router reset, but of no use. I've a wire connection with desktop (RJ-45 port) not USB AND MY PPPoE lights never lit. originally when i entered the gateway 192.168.1.1 it asked me for username & password, since i didn't have the password at that time i tried to reset the router but after that when ever i entered 192.168.1.1 in the browser it never came up with the option to enter user name & password. I've checked all the wires are also connected. I tried prompt command and it showed that timed out thrice and then sent= 4 received= 0 lost= 100%. I had D-Link router prior to it and later connected the D-Link router an i was able to get connected to net and browse normally.

Feb 18, 2011I just picked up an e3000 last night. Set up was performed manually. Flashed to 1.0.04. No issues and I was up in under 10 min.Although I read the user guide, prior to purchase, I admit I did not expect that I would not be able to configure ALL of the router's features and functions from the web based configuration, without using the CISCO Connect CD.Parental Controls and GUEST Access cannot be configured unless you load the Cisco Connect software.While this is not a huge deal, this implementation is clumsy and cumbersome for advanced users. Honestly, I had no disire to install the Cisco Connect software. I was further disappointed to see that it stores the router's password.
My feeling here, let's not ruin a great thing. There are two types of users. One's who need a configuration wizard, and other's who don't. I guess some inroads are being made in the right direction as some GUEST access functions can be made in the web gui on the e4200. I hope this can be further expanded to all "e" series routers in the future. Overall, it works as advertised. Streaming 720p HD video over wireless 2.4Ghz band G only is flawless. This is no different than my wrt54g2, but I'm upgrading to a 1080p player and have read that N on the 5Ghz band is the way to go.

Cisco Firewall :: Users Behind ASA5505 Firewall Are Unable To Access Internet
Feb 24, 2011I have a normal setup of ASA5505 (without security license) connected behind an internet router. From the ASA5505 console I can ping the Internet. However, users behind the Firewall on the internal LAN, cannot ping the Internet even though NATing is configured. The users can ping the Inside interface of the Firewall so there is no internal reachability problem. In addition, I noticed that the NAT inside access list is not having any hit counts at all when users are trying to reach the internet.
When i replace the ASA5505 with a router with NAT overload configuration on it, the setup works normally and users are able to browse the internet.
The ASA5505 configuration is shown below.

Apr 8, 2012I am a novice with networks but do have a fair understanding of networks. I have a small business network, utilizing a RVS4000 router (Firmware V2.0.27)I am attempting to set up firewall rules to block certain web sites at certain times.I have successfully set up rules using source and destination ranges, to deny service 24 hours a day everyday.
However and here is the problem when I attempt to edit any of the rules (I want to change the time to certain hours of the day) it allows me to edit the rule but when I attempt to save I get an error message up saying there are invalid characters and it will not save the changes?create the whole thing with the changes I want it works fine, is this a known bug?

It doesn't uses any APN, only a username and password and dial number "#777" is required to connect. configuring my datacard with MR3020 ???

Juniper fe0/0/2 -> Cisco ASA 5505
Cisco ASA 5505 - >Inernal LAN switch.
1. Internet is connected to Juniper Ge0/0/0 via /30 IP.
2. Juniper fe0/0/2 port is configured as inet port and configured the Internal public LAN pool provided by the ISP. And this port is directly connected to Cisco ASA 5505 E0/0. Its a /28 pool IP address. This interface is configured as outside and security level set to 0.
From Juniper SRX, am able to ping public Internet IPs (8.8.8.8).
Issue:
1. From ASA am unable to ping public ip configured on Juniper G0/0/0 port.(/30)
2. From ASA no other Public internet IP is pinging.
Troubleshooting Done so far.
1, Configured icmp inspection on ASA.
2. Used the packet tracer in ASA, it shows the packet is flowing outside without a drop.
3. Allowed all services in untrust zone in bound traffic in Juniper SRX.
4. Viewed the logs when I was trying the ping 8.8.8.8 in ASA. It says "Tear down ICMP connection for faddrr **** gaddr **

Apr 18, 2012We are going to impliment Spectrum (CA) in my network,i have ASA-5580-20 firewall now my spectrum server want to communicate with firewall,then only it will discover the firewall logs.Now the problem is my spectrum server is in MZ zone(10.10.10.45) security leval is 70 and my inside interface(10.20.20.101) security leval is 100.
I am unable to ping from spectrum server to firewall because of high security leval.How can i solve this problem,can i change my inside security leval to 69 then i think it will ping.
