I have installed LMS4.2.2 on Windows 2008 server and am unable to login via the 'admin' username. I get "Invalid Username or Password. Please try again" error message. I can successfully login using Windows AD username and password.
I have reset the password for 'admin' username with the following:

Server has been rebooted PRE and POST password reset.
how to change username admin to something different. I can reset the router password but there's no easily identifiable option for changing the username.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe EA4500 web-settings application asks for a username and password. The username is "admin" and the password is my long (60 character) wpa key. I see where I can change the password but it says I'll lose all wireless connections. This doesn't make sense to me. I would think the router administration username and password are completely separate from the ssid and wpa key. This was the case with my earlier LinkSys router. I'd like a router administration username to be something other than the generic "admin" and a password that is easier than my long wpa key. I want a separate ssid and wpa key (what I currently have).

I recently replaced my RV042 with an RV042G. I did an export of the RV042 Config and used the Config Migration Tool to upgrade the file to v3 (I had an old v1 RV042). When I first logged in to the RV042G it was quite happy and I imported the config file successfully.After installing the RV042G in my system it fired up and worked perfectly. Unfortunately when I now try to log in via the web interface it comes up with 'Invalid Site Certificate' each time. I've tried importing the certificate but that does not work as it is flagged as invalid.All I can assume is I have either imported the origional RV042 certificate as part of the config or importing the config has corrupted the original RV042G site certificate. I assume this is a generic issue and not specific to the RV042G as I have had this problem before but cannot remember how I solved it.The bottom line would be a hard reset and load all my settings manually but I can't spare the time just now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been through three chat sessions on this without resolution and support tells me just to factory reset. After some time (weeks) after a successful local login to the admin page subsequent attempt to login just hang. After entering the admin password the page changes and says "Waiting" under revolving circles. It will sit there for over 1 hour. I have tried IE, chrome and firefox on Windows 7 and Windows 8 on three different machines and it behaves the same. Of course I have to go through this same process with the support people every time and every time they come to the conclusion that I have to do a factory reset. But so far Linksys denies that there is a defect.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to log into my WRT610N version 2.0 Router admin page 192.168.1.1 using the secure HTTPS://192.168.1.1 protocol I have the router local management setting to allow both http and https access login:192.168.1.1/Management.asp I am using Microsoft IE version 10 and Firefox version 19.02 and latest Chrome browsers and none of them will work using the HTTPS protocol.This used to work in the past using older versions of the browsers though I would see a certicificate error warning.I have 2.00.01 build 15 firmware installed and I already tried reseting the router. Perhaps the router needs new firmware update to handle this with the latest browsers?

I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website.We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. When I attempt to upload via dreamweaver, I connect but within seconds I get a Dreamweaver message that says "Connection to remote host has been lost. Click refresh to continue" and the log reads "FTP Error. Dreamweaver could not connect to server." I haven't taken my desktop anywhere to try to see if it works on a different network. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.
We have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router set up at one of our small offices. I noticed recently when trying to log in to the router to make some admin configurations that it will not accept the login credentials when trying to log in from IE10 browser. Now I wanted to use it recently but cannot remember my username or password.I decided to use rommon to reset the password and during bootup, i hit ctrl+break which took me to rommon mode. I would like to create an 'externalacl' for our squid proxy (script/program) that when handed an IP address can go to the WLC and find out what username was used to authenticate.Does the WLC provide any interface to this information?We also have an NCS so if it provides the interface that is also fine....
The other option I see is getting the information from the Radius server that the WLC uses, the only problem with that is that the WLC does not send Logout messages to the radius server (or the radius server doesn't interpret them properly/something wasn't setup correctly).This would result in a user on the unauthenticated WLAN that got the same IP as an authenticated user got earlier being treated like the authenticated user by squid (since radius still has an entry saying Login on IP by user).
