Cisco :: Looking For HTTP Redirector Like Device

I am looking for a device that sits on a network and allows me to get to other devices on the network remotely, either through ports or through their mac addresses. Each of the device can be configured through a web address config page. As it stands right now, every time we have to change configs on one of the devices we have to send a tech out and pull each device out and manually configure it. I was wondering if anybody knew of a device that could do what I am asking.

I am testing out some inspection options on an ASA 5505, and I am running into a situation in which applying a http inspection is dropping all outbound http traffic. I get a "protocol violation" error in the logs.
Here is the setup: I'm not sure why the web traffic is getting dropped.

We are using LMS 3.2.1 with SP1 and Campus Manager 5.2.2.Server runs Windows 2003 R2.Everything runs fine except for User Tracking on two Catalyst 6500 switches running CatOS. These devices are discovered, reachable, SNMP works fine, neighbors seen. But when we try to launch acquisition, the UT utility complains with this error message:"Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device."When we wanted to add ports via Device Trap Configuration, LMS has fired a different error message: "There are no ports to configure for the selected device(s).Check whether you have selected any router(s)." I have checked the portsData.xml file, which doesn't have any ports included for the two devices: [code] We have tried to exclude / include the switches in the data collection, but that didn't work.

My BEFSR81 is my primary router and has DHCP turned on. The router's DHCP range is set to accommodate 12 devices. I have three computers wired to it and their Host names (as specified in the set-up of each computer) show up in the router's DHCP device table. I also have two printers (one old Brother HL5250DN laser printer and one new HP Photosmart Premier C410a inkjet printer) connected and there are blanks where the Host name should go. I would like to be able to tell which printer is which when I am looking at the DHCP device table. How can I get a names associated with each printer's IP address in the router's DHCP device table? (The real problem is that the router seems to have both printers at the same IP address (192.168.1.100) and if I can get one of them to change I'd like to know which one it was!)

I have a small problem with a visual network on packet tracer. While i have two networks connected one ospf and one rip (v2) and they are fully functional with each other, i cant get access to the Http server on the ospf network from a host machine on the RIP network. (each network has a HTTP and one DNS - DHCP server). I will also include the Packet tracer file.

My WLC 4400 have run the os 4.2.207.54, my ap type is AP1020.And client user authentication by web-auth.Sometimes my user complain cannot login web authentication, because he connot open the web login page.And I try to monitor the WLC by SNMP, I see the http no response.

Two days ago, we changed our old 525 with asa 5520 ( ver 8.2 ). Configuration is the same, except the version. It even retains the same global interface and static public ip address as the old device.All worked well during that period.Yesterday, one of the http applications , not tested other day, was found not to be working. To test, we switched back to the old 525 , however nothing was working when we did that.Does the static statement which actually does the translation for this application carry any arp problems or so.how can i check this problem.

We have a web server running Joomla.There is a plugin to the website which downloads an iCal file from the internet via a URL. The site gives an error when retrieving this file. I can pull the file down manually via a browser, or doing a wget from the command line. However, the plugin fails. [code]I'm sure there's a packet being dropped in here somewhere, but from which side? Why on earth this would work fine through a browser or wget, but not via the PHP code which executes this GET?

I have reset my wireless connection numerous times, rebooted, tried wireless and wired and continue to have the same result - great signal; cannot connect to any webpage. Ran network diagnostics and everything seems to check out except the "DNS Server."

I cannot access http sites unless I manually write the prefix https. The issue is mainly on Wordpress blog pages and I have to keep writing https if I want to access other blogger's page.For the time being I am using Chrome's extension "Https Enforcer" which slows down my browsing speed but eventually the sites open. I have to disable it if I have to use google images. I use windows 7, Chrome browser, Pocket Modem.

Im trying to configure HTTP Inpsection with regex matching on a ASA 5505 (8.2) so that I can deny all websites apart from google and yahoo. And also enclude host 192.168.1.2 from this inspection. I have been through a number of examples and the syntax below appears correct but appears not to work. The logs report only that traffic has been dropped by the inspection policy.

I need to confure 3 ESW-520, 2 24 ports and 1 48 ports, connected in etherlink on the same vlan. One of the 24 ports and the 48 ports works perfectly, the other 24 ports it working, i can use it as a flat switch, i can also access from the console, but i can't access from the http configuration utility. I upgrade the firmware, and set the vlan 1, the one i'm using as the only management, but i can't access ti the default ip 192.168.10.2. It's the switch broken or i'm making some error?

We are using WLC 2500 and AP 1041 with web authentication. Due to we do not have the trusted/public certificate and want to get rid of the certificate warning during the user login. Is this possible to change the web authentication method from HTTPS to HTTP.

I have a number of web sites that are currently being load balanced by CSS 11503s runninng 8x code. I was recently requested to configure HTTP --> HTTPS redirects on the CSS for every site. In the past, I have only configured the redirects for sites that had a requirement. Now it appears that the server teams want all content encrypted.
1) What impact will this have on the CPU?
2) What impact will this have on Memory utilization?
3) Is there a maximum nubmer on redirects?
4) Are there other things I should be concerned about?

This one is kicking my butt.I have an MPLS network with three stes.Site1 is where all my servers reside.Site2 and Site3 just have a few PC's.From Site2 and Site3 I cannot access the server at Site1 via http://IPADRESS.Of.Server.I am able to ping just fine.I thought it may be a router issue but... there is is a single PC at Site2 that can access it with out any issues.All the IP settings (Default GW, DNS, etc...) match the other PCs.The windows firewall is turned off on all PC's. AVG is disabled on the PCs.

My desktop PC has occasional hiccups in which I can't connect to any website (via any browser, I've tried Firefox, Chrome, Opera & IE) for short periods of time (usually ~1 minute) but all other Internet connectivity seems to be normal. (I can ping Google for instance, and I remain connected to Google Talk, but I can't load the Google website.)
I recently did a fresh install of XP Pro SP3 and am pretty confident that there is no malware running on the system. (I'm running Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall but I also did a Malware Bytes scan which uncovered nothing.) The desktop is connected wirelessly but I don't suspect an issue with the router because my laptop (via wireless) and my girlfriend's desktop (via wired) can surf the web just fine when my computer is experiencing issues.
I checked for proxies (both in the browser settings and in Windows settings) but everything appears to be setup correctly (that is, unproxied.) DNS is set to the proper DNS servers for my ISP (Cox) but I also tried switching to Google's DNS servers with no luck.

I have been doing a lot of research trying to find like an IT program to RDP for free to very little for personal use that is very easy to understand for the end user.An example of what I what I am speaking of, is if you deal with Verizon, or most major computer companies (Dell, etc) they can send you a URL or give you a code to use at a site, that basically lets them remote to your PC. It may require the user to install a small add on, or to allow some type of permissions, but doesn't require them to download huge programs or sign up for accounts.
I myself will create an account of course, and as I said even pay a small fee for a good program. But it's strictly for personal use and I am sure there is a good open source program I can use that I can just make a donation to.

I have one server-A(windows 2008) installed one application called"host front" which gives athentication to connect Linux(mainframe console)server(SERVER B). These 2 servers are bihind the firewall.If one internal user who has the athentication to logine server-B ,tried to login server A,will get the" username and password"screen and once they enter the username and password ,will get the server-B screen.But if somebody try to connet via MPLS(we need to test MPLS site customers) from outside via ASA 5540 ,to server-A will get the "username password" screen and once enter the credentials,after 1 minitue will get error"http server faild to send datas to the server" and will not move to server -B screen.Where do you think is the problem?
