Cisco Routers :: ISA-570 - 5 Ports Programmable / How To Configure

Feb 11, 2013

We bought the ISA-570 for the same reason. On the literature it says that 5 ports are programmable for WAN ports but I can not find any configuration guide or documentation on how to configure these ports. We are already using WAN1 and WAN2 but want to program the programmable ports for additional wans.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Configure 819 To Forward Ports For SQL And VNC?

ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.150 5900 interface GigabitEthernet0 5900
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.150 5800 interface GigabitEthernet0 5800

where 192.168.1.150 is my server (that hosts SQL server and that I want to be able to connect to remotely using VNC) and GigabitEthernet0 is my configured WAN interface.

When I try to connect from an external client I get the error:  "Failed to connect to server..." Is this a firewall issue?  How do I get round it?  The 819 is the only router/firewall in my network.

Cisco Wireless :: Configure Ports And Interfaces On WLC 2504

Oct 26, 2012

I have WLC 2504 controller and six access points AIR-LAP1042N. I reading Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controller Deployment Guide url...trying to set up along the lines.

It is also possible to have multiple AP-managers in a different subnet than the management interface. However, in this case, it is recommended that you disable the AP-manager from the management interface and create another AP-manager interface on different physical ports in a different subnet than the management interface. All multiple AP-managers in this scenario should be in the same subnet.

I maping management interface on physical port 1 and disabled ap-manager on it. Set up 192.168.7.0 subnet with non tagged vlan. This iface/port I want to use only for access to WLC web-interface. Then I create dynamic interface ‘dynamic1’, map him on port 2, enable ap-manager on him, and set up 192.168.110.0 subnet with vlan 10. Then I tryed map wlan1 to this iface, but I can’t because in the choice was only management iface to map wlan1.

There is three dynamic interfaces on same subnet and vlan, in example above. But when I try to add dynamic iface with the same vlan/subnet as an existing dynamic interface, I get an error, and can’t adding.

Cisco Firewall :: Configure ASA 5515 Switch Ports

Nov 25, 2012

I am moving from ASA 5505 to ASA 5515 because we are maxing out the number of connections that the 5505 can handle. The 5515 runs version ASA 8.6(1)2 and ASDM 6.6(1) and the 5505 version is ASA 8.2(5) ASDM 6.4(5). On the 5505 I used e0/0, 0/2, 0/4 and 0/5 as outside port with teh switch ports feature but there is no switch port feature on the 5515. I have tried to set the ports individually to numerous public IP addresses that I have but I get an error that they subnet is already associated with another interface. How do I replicate the same setup on the 5515?

Cisco Firewall :: Trying Configure ASA5505 (8.4) To Allow HTTPS On Two WAN Ports

Sep 14, 2012

I have an ASA 5505 running 8.4.4.1. I've configured three WAN interfaces and have assigned failover on one of them (we have two ISP's, and a total of 3 static IP's in 3 different subnets).  I've noticed that all the traffic is flowing through only one of the three interfaces, but I need to allow incoming https traffic on the second WAN port so I can access our Exchange server (we already use https on the first WAN port to access another server).

[code] WAN1 is the default outgoing route and we've configured several incoming services on it (smtp and https for example) and appears to be working properly as mail is coming and going and users can access the RDS gateway.I need to configure WAN2 to accept https traffic and send it to our Exchange server to enable OWA (webmail) access.I've configured the same Access and NAT rules on all three WAN interfaces  for smtp (but I suspect only the first one is currently functioning at  this point, I'll test it next chance I get). I thought all I'd have to do is configure an access and NAT entry on WAN2 (same as on WAN1), but direct the traffic to the OWA server instead of the rds gateway server, but it is not working.

In the realtime log I can see that it appears to be receiving the traffic on the WAN2 IP, but seems to be passing this through to the inside via the WAN1 interface.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: CR3845 Internal Switch Trying To Configure 2 Ports On Same Subnet

Sep 6, 2012

Have our public IP address space masked on /24 at our Internet Router.  The router portion of 3845 connects to Internet, while the internal switch connects to my internal network and seeds it with the public address space.  The switch had a port configured no switchport (L3) with an ip address with /24  (ie 67.63.145.1 /24)  this connects to internal IPS/IDS then to Firewall which NATs to internal, then packet shaper, web filter etc etc etc.  I need to test my ISP speed so I need to "break in" to the link between the switch and the IPS/IDS.  I figured I could configure another port on the switch on the 3845 but my problem is the port to my network is routed and is masked on entire /24.  I tried to configure a port on VLAN 1 and give myself an available address in the L3 address space and this did not work (figured it would not but gave it a try)

Any way to get two ports configured to use the same subnet while one is a L3 routed port and the other is just part of that layer 3 routed network?

No Ports Seem To Open Up According To Routers GUI

No ports seem to open up when they are supposed to be open according to the routers GUI.When i use "port checker"-websites, they even say that port 80 is closed until i actively open it in the router, then it shows up as open. This however only applies to port 80, no other ports shows as open OR allow any traffic through. The same thing happens when the router is in DMZ.What I have done so far is google my butt off without any results, I have tried a new router, a new network card, formated, re-installed windows and made sure that my ISP is not blocking the ports that i have tried to open.My purpose of opening a port is to run a mumble server, which I have run on a Hamachi VPN so far, and that has worked fine.

Cisco Routers :: Get RV042 V3 Run On Both WLAN Ports?

Aug 19, 2011

I've been having a lot difficulties to get Cisco RV042 v 3 run on both WLAN ports. I've tryed in Smart Backup Link and Load Balancing .... nothing. What I want to do is:

1 web server in LAN lets say IP 192.168.15.2
1 dns server in LAN lets say IP 192.168.15.4

I want to have the router running as Smart Backup Link in case one of the internet connections fails (I will say that the DNS server handles most of the domain names on the web server so it needs to be publicly available as well, and the main domain name of the web server is managed by independent DNS server somwhere in internet, so it has mechanism that can be use to change the entries let say DNS round robin way).

1. WLAN1 with PPPOE and WLAN2 with static ip by the second provider LAN fasion, ports forwarded to the web and the dns servers - NOT accesible. Router firmware latest version 4.

2. WLAN1 with static ip by the second provider LAN fashion, network normal operating but cannot access the server on port 80.

Cisco Routers :: Why Won't WRVS4400N Open Ports

Jan 30, 2012

I'm using a WRVS4400N and have all the proper ports open as well as the corresponding ones in the windows firewall. I've tested this with multiple port checkers online, such as grc.com. I've even go so far as to put one computer on a dmz and turn off the firewall on others. I've tested multiple ports on different computers. As well as from different remote gateways (other people's computers) just to see if it was a loopback problem.

I have the latest firmware installed and have done this from a clean install as well. This problem won't go away. My addy is nbcr [dot] dyndns.info if you'd like to have a test yourself and see that 118 is indeed closed.

I have an extensive computer repair background and run my own shop repairing computers, however networking is my weak area. Oh and its version 2.

Routers / Switches :: How Do FPS's Open UDP Ports

Nov 29, 2011

How do FPS's open UDP ports without needing to configure the router to forward them?I never have to forward ports from my router to my PC. Every game i have somehow manages to open the UDP ports it needs without me having to configure my router. Yet when i check to see if those ports are open (prior to starting the programs) they always come back as blocked or closed. Now I'm currently working on a UDP Internet program and need to know how to do the same thing - open ports on a router without having to make the customer configure their routers. I'm THINKING that other programs start with a TCP/IP connection on the desired port and that opens the UDP port. Is this the answer or is there another method used?

Cisco Routers :: Forward Range Of Ports With RV180W?

Oct 14, 2012

I am new to the RV180W. I am running the most recent firmware--version 1.0.1.9.

I am having trouble getting FTP to work with my QNAP NAS.

QNAP indicates that I should forward ports 55536-56559 to my NAS. I created a custom service to accomplish this, and then, under port forwarding, I selected the service and forwarded it to the private IP that corresponds with the NAS.

However, the port forwarding configuration only allows me to specify *ONE* internal port. With other routers I have always specified the same private port *RANGE* that corresponds with the public ports that I have opened up.

Routers / Switches :: Uplink Ports Used For ISCSI?

Nov 15, 2012

We have a single HP 2810 switch being used for an iSCSI SAN.We want to replace it with dual higher end switches. But we've got another SAN to also setup now - Dell Equallogic PS6010E - that has 10gb iSCSI SFP+ ports. Can the 4 x SFP+ uplink ports on the Dell PowerConnect PCT5548 or the HP 3800-48G-4SFP+ switch be used for just the 10gb iSCSI, while the other 48 handle the 1gb iSCSI?We were told the uplink ports don't have buffering, making them bad ports for iSCSI traffic and only useful as uplinks to another switch. We only need 8 x 10gb ports (4 for 2 servers, and 4 for the Equallogic SAN), so if the above would work, it would probably save us $10,000 from having to buy a separate 24 port dedicated 10gb switch to handle it.
