View 2 RepliesI am attempting to forward port 25565 on my router, and having some trouble. I've set a static IP address as both 192.168.2.10 and 192.168.2.111, and attempted a dynamic IP address. The port forwarding page via 192.168.2.1 in the browser looks like this, with the Private IP Adress changed to whatever corresponding IP address I have set (checked with cmd /ipconfig).
After testing with multiple online port checking tools, the ports remain closed.
How do I forward ports on the N600 DB F9K1102v3? I have looked through everything. When I go to port forward, I enter the info and have it all down correctly, I click save and once it reloads it isn't there and the port isn't forward.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the RV180W. I am running the most recent firmware--version 1.0.1.9.
I am having trouble getting FTP to work with my QNAP NAS.
QNAP indicates that I should forward ports 55536-56559 to my NAS. I created a custom service to accomplish this, and then, under port forwarding, I selected the service and forwarded it to the private IP that corresponds with the NAS.
However, the port forwarding configuration only allows me to specify *ONE* internal port. With other routers I have always specified the same private port *RANGE* that corresponds with the public ports that I have opened up.
A client is thinking of putting in a srp527w. they get assigned a static ip on the adsl interface (165.228.204.x), and then have been assigned another block(203.39.183.x/29).how can i have it so that i am able to forward individual ports from the external ip's, to selected internal ip's.

It just says service name, service type, starting port, ending port.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI attached an Iomego Home Media network hard drive to my Linksys E3000 router (via ethernet cable). Before setting up the remote access on the Iomega, I forwarded the ports that it wanted (443 and 21) to the static IP of the Iomega. I checked to see that they were open using yougetsignal.com and they were both open. After setting up the remote access on the Iomega, the 443 port closed and I cant even get into the "manage storage device" page for the Iomega. Iomega uses TZo for the domain names. They tell me that the association is made between the name and my public IP address. My router is out of warranty since Sept, so Linksys wont give me the time of day. I contacted my ISP and while they block a couple of ports, 443 is not one of them.I've installed the latest firmware (1.0.04 - Build 6). Reset and rebooted numerous times, Port 443 remains closed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do FPS's open UDP ports without needing to configure the router to forward them?I never have to forward ports from my router to my PC. Every game i have somehow manages to open the UDP ports it needs without me having to configure my router. Yet when i check to see if those ports are open (prior to starting the programs) they always come back as blocked or closed. Now I'm currently working on a UDP Internet program and need to know how to do the same thing - open ports on a router without having to make the customer configure their routers. I'm THINKING that other programs start with a TCP/IP connection on the desired port and that opens the UDP port. Is this the answer or is there another method used?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have a single HP 2810 switch being used for an iSCSI SAN.We want to replace it with dual higher end switches. But we've got another SAN to also setup now - Dell Equallogic PS6010E - that has 10gb iSCSI SFP+ ports. Can the 4 x SFP+ uplink ports on the Dell PowerConnect PCT5548 or the HP 3800-48G-4SFP+ switch be used for just the 10gb iSCSI, while the other 48 handle the 1gb iSCSI?We were told the uplink ports don't have buffering, making them bad ports for iSCSI traffic and only useful as uplinks to another switch. We only need 8 x 10gb ports (4 for 2 servers, and 4 for the Equallogic SAN), so if the above would work, it would probably save us $10,000 from having to buy a separate 24 port dedicated 10gb switch to handle it.

I have a 25 meg fiber optic incoming service,so there is plenty of speed and bandwith available to handle these componets.

Bought a Linksys SE2500 gigabit smart switch but it doesn't assign IP or pass on router assigned IPs. Can't get ASSISTANCE from Fairpoint [successor to Verizon] configuring router or any advice on other ways to get more wired devices on LAN.For speed in backups I'd like 3 devices to be able to communicate at giabit speed Want to have an NAS and 2 Win7 Ultimate computers on smart switch, 3 other wired devices [WinXP, AT&T Cell tower, & DirectTV whole house SWM interface] and wireless on the router. 1. Are Fairpoint specs for DSL published so I could get another DSL modem router instead of the Westell or is it better to configure Westell as a router only and use a new to be acquired router with or without the existing or a new gigabit switch. I have a DI-624 from the pre-DSL Hughesnet satellite days.2. Are there less smart switches which would work better and let router assign the IPs?3. If this is too complex for me, can you recommend a remote access consultant to walk me through this for a fee?4. View 2 Replies View RelatedOk, so i never had problems with this before until i reformatted my computer. I have used a program called simple port forwarding and i've also manually added the port seeing if theres a difference, but every time i check my port which is 25565 for a minecraft server it says either failed or not open etc.. I checked netstat -an and it showed it was listening to my ip address and port 25565.

I cannot successfully forward ports on this router, I've tried a few things but I can only assume the firmware is bad. I've already looked around for a solution but everyone says they solved it by just getting a different router (which at the moment isn't an option).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't get port forwarding to work, even when I turn off the Windows 7 firewall and AVG anti-virus software I'm running. I entered the IP address of my laptop (with a DHCP reservation) and UDP and TCP port numbers, with Schedule set to Always and Inbound Filter set to Allow All. That should be it, right? However, when I check the ports using PFPortChecker, both the UDP and TCP ports are blocked. I do have a Linksys wireless router daisy-chained to the D-Link router, but I'm not communicating on this computer through the Linksys router and the problem still occurs even when the other router is disconnected, so that doesn't appear to have anything to do with the problem. I just updated to the latest firmware (3.13NA).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI went out and upgraded to the E3200 a week or so ago and since then i've been unable to forward any ports. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of: disabling Windows firewall, setting a static IP for my computer, setting a static IP for the router, enabling forwarding in both single and range menus, DMZ etc. Here is a screenshot of the port forwarding page just to confirm that i'm doing nothing wrong:In the above photo you will see that I set the computers static ip to x.1.2 and I later changed it to a value that was within DHCP range as listed on the status page of the router admin gui and it still didn't work. So, what I ask of you guys is if you can think of anything that I must be fundamentally doing wrong in order for this not to work. Could it be that i'm missing some possible drivers or network utilities on the computer i'm trying to forward ports too

Cisco Linksys wrt54gs v4 (Router) currently running Tomato firmware but I can flash dd-wrt back to it in a second.
We're trying to get a remote access setup for someone who needs to have access from offsite. To make things easy we set it up with a virtual machine running Windows 7 and RDP. Because the "other end" isn't our computer and we've had some difficulties with people using the Cisco VPN client successfully, we were just going to set up a machine as a RDP Gateway and forward the port through the firewall (WebVPN might be nice, but the plugins only do RDP through v5.x). I've tried this on 8.4-1 and after reinstalling the latest 8.2, and supposedly the NAT works and there is a firewall rule allowing access from the outside to the RD-GW server on HTTPS, but the ASA is still blocking those packets. I've looked at 4 howtos and followed them, trying from the console and from ADSM (and one trashed the whole setup, probably related to the reinstall of 8.2) - [code]

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to forward ports for SQL and VNC using these commands in the CLI:
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.150 5900 interface GigabitEthernet0 5900
ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.150 5800 interface GigabitEthernet0 5800

where 192.168.1.150 is my server (that hosts SQL server and that I want to be able to connect to remotely using VNC) and GigabitEthernet0 is my configured WAN interface.
When I try to connect from an external client I get the error: "Failed to connect to server..." Is this a firewall issue? How do I get round it? The 819 is the only router/firewall in my network.
I have an ASA 5505 running 8.4(1), and I'm configuring it with ASDM 6.4(1). The outside interface is configured with a single static address. I have a few services port forwarded sucessfully to three different servers on the inside network.
I need to make a media proxy on a SIP server available to the outside. It requires a large range of forwarded UDP ports for the media channels.
I tried adding a network object NAT rule like the others I'm already using to forward HTTP and RDP. I entered a range of ports for the real port and the mapped port using the syntax 60000-60999. ASDM accepted it, but the NAT rule list displays "Any" in the service column. When I apply the change, I get the following error:
nat (inside, outside) static interface service tcp 60000-60999 60000-60999
^
ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
How do I forward a large range of UDP ports from the outside interface to a single server on my inside network? I'd like to use ASDM, but I can switch to the CLI if that works better.
I need to forward several ports. however it has been complicated by a missing or corrupt default access gateway.
