IPv6 -> Tunneling.The 6to4 tunnel did not initialize after a reboot. The automatic tunneling had to be disabled and enabled again.It was used for a 6in4 tunnel to tunnelbroker and the Remote End Point IPv4.Address was enabled and specified.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recentlydeployed a RV220W and got it mostly working for the environment. One issue: remote users connecting from different locations. I set up QuickVPN to accomodate them, which seems to 'kinda' work. 'Kinda' because I have to reboot the RV220W each day before the clients can connect succesfully. The clients run a mix of WinXP-32, WinVista-32 and Win7-64. All other settings in the QuickVPN client have been verified for each user. They each have the latest verion of QuickVPN and the RV220W firmware is at the latest version. The networks at the remote locations are not numbered the same as the host location.
The clients work several times a day, but the RV220W needs to be rebooted every morning. Is this a known problem with a work around? Is there a better solution for VPN access from Vista-32 and Win 7-64?
After choosing the option "IPv4 and IPV6 Dual-Stack" in Networking > IPv6 > IP Mode, the router's configuration website is not accessible any more using it's IPv4 address or via remote management (WAN IP). However, all other router services (routing, VPN, etc.) are working fine.

So far we have been unsuccessful in getting this to work.On both sides, we are getting a successful connection established, but netiher site is recieving any packets. Both sides are transmitting packets though. We have exhausted our resources trying to figure out why.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco RV220W updated to latest firmware 1.0.4.17. I have been trying to get a VPN setup for the past few days without success. We had a test VPN up and running previously, but when we changed the IP's and secret key to connect the live VPN tunnel it failed and we haven't been able to get it working since.We have deleted both ends, rebuilt them probably 6 times each. We have changed secret keys, tried 3DES, AES, and AES256 encryptions with SHA-1. All the internal IP settings are correct :IE 192.168.1.1/24 or 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0,External IP's are right, only oddball thing here is one of the external IP's is assigned by DHCP and is a /22 although the previous tunnel worked with the same ISP.

I have two offices connected with an IPSEC VPN tunnel using RV220W routers. The Tunnel works fine for local users between the two sites(Site 1:10.0.0.x; site 2 is 10.0.2.x). I have also set up PPTP users for remote access. PPTP users that connect to site 1 cannot access site 2 and vice versa. The PPTP users have no trouble accessing the resources on the site that they connect to. I have tried activating RIP and adding various static routes with no success. If I PPTP connect to site 1 and I tracert to an IP address on site 2 the route goes to the site 1 router and then goes to the internet(connected to the site 1 router) where it stops.

I'm now trying to tie in the remote site wireless (rv220w side) by pointing radius to my ACS server which is on the other side of the site-to-site tunnel but it seems as though it doesnt route across the site to site tunnel. If i put a radius server on the local lan on the remote site that authentication works fine. I have confirmed there are no ACL problems. the RV220W capable of using a radius server across the vpn tunnel?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought two CISCO routers RV220W for our main and brach office mainly for VPN tunneling. I didnt know they are routers only not modems. so I have set it up using BT 2wire Router as modem only.
I have successfuly setup the routers and manage to establish the VPN tunneling between two routers. AS bt doesnt give static WAN IP address so I have used Dyndns which works fine. although I have 5 static ip address which cannot be used for WAN unless i cahnge to one IP address even then BT tech said it will not work.
when I created the tunnel i could ping both servers with their IP only not with the names. I can ping them fine locally. I could also see the network from branch office to main office but not from main office to branch office. today when I restarted the server I cannot ping both server i mean vice versa but VPN tunnel is established. now I cannot see the network from branch office to main office as well.
Both sites running windows server 2008 standard. main office server has 6 NIC cards two wwith public and three with private ip addresses, its also runing Terminal server, exchange, file etc. the branch office has two NIC card one with private and one with public ip. Intially I could establish the VPN tunnel as the network range was same on both sites so I changed one in th e10.0.0.0 range other in 192.168.1.0 range and VPN tunnel was established straightaway.
As soon as the VPN tunnel was created I manage to creat an external trust without any problems and both servers are added in each other forward zones as name servers.
in the main office the fues went off and I had to re-start the router and now the VPN tunnel is not establishing, mainly the error is ISAKMP-SA Expired I will paste the log of both routers below
1. How to Clear Old or Existing Security Associations (Tunnels) on RV220W
2. how to fix the problem where I can ping the server with their IP as well as domain names ?
3. how to set it up so that both sides can see the network resources as well as access it ?
4. how to set it up so if the staff in branch office wants to log on the domain in main office he can simply do it as he does it in his office.
We are using CWLMS 2.6 on a UNIX machine. And recently we changed the SNMP String to our network devices. One of L2 switches keeps logging the following message:

I gave the system the path of NMSROOT and run the script again but it gives me the same error “Can't locate CRM.pm”
About 1-5 times per week I will find the jrm process showing as "Administrator has shut down this server". I have written a script that 2/day checks the status of the jrm process and if it is down, restarts it (pdexec jrm). About 25% of the time the jrm process will then show a status of "waiting to initialize". The only way I have found to recover it to shut down CiscoWorks and restart it (takes about 25 minutes). Why it would shutdown or how to get it restarted after the initializing state?

1. net start crmdmgtd did start correctly, so we use resetcasuser.exe and it works some minutes then this issue came back again. I ask the customer to put the casuser in the local administrator group, then customer was able to execute net start crmdmgtd.
2. but some process doesn't start see pdshow.txt.When trying to launch ciscoview, we have this error :Error in communicating with DCRServer. DCR Server may be down. Please start the DCRServer and then refresh the page.At RME home page, I have a error message about jrm, but I don't remerber it.
In the pdshow, we can see that DCRServer is in Waiting to initialize state.We have installed the fix for CSCte49301 bug, but the issue still exist you will find dcrserver.log and dcrclient.log.

I had Windows XP installed on this machine first because it is 10 years old and I wasn't sure how well it would work with Windows 7. I decided to test out Windows 7 a few months after using Windows XP on here and noticed the wireless network was started right when Windows 7 loaded, where as in Windows XP it can take anywhere from 1-3 minutes for the wireless network to load. In this 1-3 minute time frame on Windows XP any browser or attempted connection to the internet 'hangs' and does not display a time out, it just continues to try and connect until the wireless icon finally shows in the taskbar

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a new cisco srp527w (K9-G4) and all seems fine but when I reboot it the date resets to 1970/1/1I upgraded it from vrs 1.01.09(001) to 1.01.24 but it is still doing it.I havent yet got it onto the internet as it wont be going live until it goes into a client site, so I cannot set it to NTP to see if this will work around the problem of setting the date and time manually.

1. Generate CSR file and private key file, then send CSR to GeoTrust (Key length: 2048 and Digest to sign with SHA1)
2. GeoTrust send me a certificate. Issued by "GeoTrust SSL CA".
3. Install the certificate on the ACS. Restart ACS service.
4. ACS Certification authority setup. Issued by "VeriSign Class 2 Public Primary Certification Authority - G3"
5. Edit certificate trust list and select "VeriSign Class 2 Public Primary Certification Authority - G3" as trusted.
6. Enable EAP-TLS, then restarted the ACS service. The problem is when i try to enable EAP i get the error msg:Failed to initialize PEAP or EAP-TLS authentication protocol because CA certificate is not installed. Install the CA certificate using "ACS Certification Authority Setup" page.I searched on cisco and it said to disable the CSA, but in fact there is no CSA installed on this server.

All 4 of these IP's are static external IPs. How I can configure the RV220W so that requests to those 4 IP's get routed to the server.

So according to their documentation, the server in question would need to be configured with a private IP. Unfortunately, one of the applications I use is licensed via IP address and my understanding is that I cannot use the software with private/non-routable IP addresses.
Is the RV220W capable of not only securing the line (firewall, access rules, content filtering, port trigering & forwarding etc) but also doing what I was hoping to do (keeping the external IP's on the server, and routing appropriately)?
I'm using a RV220W router, and recently got shifted to a dynamic IP solution.Now, I've got a no-ip.org address, but the update service seems to be on no-ip.com. So, I try to enter mydomain.no-ip.org OR mydomain.no-ip.com in the dynamic dns settings, under Host and Domain Name, but when saving the settings it says
'The hostname specified does not exist in this user account' ,which seems to indicate that it manages to login to the update service but gets a negative reply.Is it possible to use the RV220W with no-ip.org/com?
We have 2 sites connected thru 2 RV220W routers via VPN and most things are working fine. I have noticed however, that any device that has a web interface, i.e. our Sharp Copier and our Freenas server, is inaccessible. The page tries to come up but then I get the Cisco "server is down" page generated by the RV220W.
I can pull up the web interface pages if I use a machine on the local LAN but not on any machine across the VPN. The only commonality I can think of is the RV220W blocking that traffic for some reason..

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to associate a name to an IP in the RV220W? I am coming from a WRVS4400N v2. Folks are complaining that they can't connect, for example via Real VNC, via the PC name any longer. They have to use the IP address. In the past I put the names of the PCs in the WRVS4400N when I reserved IPs via MAC addresses (some call this assigning static IPs). There isn't any place in the RV220W to put the name. Even when I look at the DHCP list a lot of them show up as "unknown". I am sure this is a NETBIOS thing but I'd rather fix this in the router as I have always done in the past.

I have PPTP passthrough enabled and TCP/UDP 1723 open. As far as I can tell GRE 47 is open as well. Why it was working and is not working after a power outage?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving a strange problem that just started this week and got worse this evening. I have a RV220W that is feeding my network. The RV220W sits behind a broadband modem and acts as the DHCP for the network and those computers access the internet that way. Anyway, tonight started an issue where the the RV220W just disappears. Becomes unpingable. I recycle power, and within anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes, it's gone. No longer pingable. Even if I plug a latop directly into it.If I power cycle the RV220W it comes back and I can ping it and access it and its settings. 5 to 10 mins later, I again lose it. Nothing was done. Its been working fine for a few weeks. Had a similar outage last Tuesday, but a recycle of everything brought everything back into line. After I lose connection to it, the lights I expect to be lit remain lit.
