May 27, 2013My IPSEC tunnel regulary doesn't work, and the only way is to reboot the SA520.
Is it possible with a batch or something else to auto reboot the SA520 ?

May 7, 2012I have activated Protectlink Web. But today i started to get "router is busy" in all pages, so we restarted the router. That problem was solved but now the the web Protection is no longer working. It says activated but licence status says waiting.

Mar 21, 2013I recentlydeployed a RV220W and got it mostly working for the environment. One issue: remote users connecting from different locations. I set up QuickVPN to accomodate them, which seems to 'kinda' work. 'Kinda' because I have to reboot the RV220W each day before the clients can connect succesfully. The clients run a mix of WinXP-32, WinVista-32 and Win7-64. All other settings in the QuickVPN client have been verified for each user. They each have the latest verion of QuickVPN and the RV220W firmware is at the latest version. The networks at the remote locations are not numbered the same as the host location.
The clients work several times a day, but the RV220W needs to be rebooted every morning. Is this a known problem with a work around? Is there a better solution for VPN access from Vista-32 and Win 7-64?

Unfortunaltelly we have no hands-on suopport on-site, so just remote connection.Now we figured that the service-port and management interfaces have to be reconfigured. In case we can not reach the WLC with the new configured interfaces it would be useful if the WLC reboots automatically after time x to reload the previouse working configuration.So the question is, is there a functionality to create a script which reboots the WLC automatically after time x?

Today, while the DSL line and the Internet appeared to be working, I could not log in to the router from a LAN machine and I had to power it off and on again by hand.We have a number of surveillance cams on the LAN and this must not happen, that the cams cannot be accessed, in particular if nobody is on site for a few days.Unfortunately, the WAG 160N does not have a daily re-boot option. What can one do except for installing a timer that switches the power to the router off and and on again ?

Jan 7, 2013We just replaced our Cisco 1240 AP in one of our shops with a Cisco 1141 AP. This is not controller based.
We use several wireless (infrastructure mode) auto diagnostic tools which connect to the AP. We also have many laptops which run the diagnostic software.
We had no problems with our 1240AP. With our 1141, we cannot connect to the wireless tools if both the laptop and the tools are connected to the 1141. If I connect one to the 1240 and one to the 1141, they can see each other and work fine. IF they are both connected to the 1141, they show up as connected in the AP, they can ping each other, but the software does not communicate.

Mar 14, 2011I having issues with DView 3.11 on a WinXP Professional with SP3.There are 4 DCS 5300G cameras wired to the router.I can see the cameras using IE, but when I try to configure the DView in the camera section with the autodetect button it will show an error that the camera cannot be identified.I had checked the IP address, port, user & pass everything is ok. I even hard reseted one of the cameras and it won't work.

I can successfully print from both Mac's, however I have to manually disconnect and connect the printer in the vusb client. I can't get the auto-connect and auto-disconnect settings to work by themselves. Any guidance on the proper settings here?Additionally, do I need to configure the printer driver though the vusb client? When I click "configure", I get an error saying"Cannot connect to Prolific Technology Inc. IEEE-1284 Controller.

Internet Disconnects / Need Reboot To Make It Work
Nov 26, 2012It seems like my internet connection constantly disconnects and I have to restart my computer to get it to work again. I don't think its the internet connection because I've lived in 4 different apartments and this has happened. I'm having to restart my computer at least 4 times a day.Another thing I wanted to add is that it especially happens when I do something that is 'internet intensive' such as youtube or when I am using skype or msn video call.

When I manually update the dyndns information (username and password) the registration does go through and the entry is updated on the dyndns site.
However, the registration does not auto-update after that.

Oct 12, 2011I recently purchased the RV220W to upgrade by good, but aging RV042. I'm running the most recent firmware (1.0.2.4 as of this writing) and have noticed this router reboots daily. I'm guessing it's locking up and rebooting as it occurs as different times of the day. Compared to the RV042, this was a bit of a pain to setup especially with regard to port forwarding. I'm hesitant to reset and start over again especially since this is brand new.

Jan 25, 2012my RVS4000 is not renewing DHCP lease in Auto mode. Connection lost after 24 hours.
WAN Internet interface is physically connected to cable modem - Motorola SBV6120E. Setup as DHCP server. Cisco RVS4000 is obtaining DHCP public IP without any issue, the problem is that the connection drop every 24 hours and I need to release/renew DHCP each day to be able to communicate after 24 hours. After I loose connection I need to release DHCP, the WAN interface goes down and I need to renew DHCP then. I receive the same IP address and connection is againg UP and working.
tried to load new firmware and also setup the router with default configuration, but without any change. as there is no auto-reboot function, it is really annoying to log into managment interface each day. I also loose remote access after 24 hours, so I am not able to access the rotuer from outside. My local provider do not support static public IP on WAN, therefore I have to use DHCP.

The new router is a netgear, the old one is a linksys.I called them a few times and everything they had me try did not fix the problem.I can get internet access connected directly to the modem just can't get the router to work.When I right click and diagnose the problem it tells me that it's a connectivity issue with the modem. When I use my old linksys router and diagnose the problem it tells me that the DNS server is not responding.I have also tried resetting the new and old routers to default settings and started fresh.

Sep 12, 2011Rx:, recently I have perchase 2 RV120W routers thinking that it must be very easy to setup the site to site vpn. i cannot get my remore office to link to my main office and vice verser.
Scenaro
- I'm using 2 RV120W routers for each site.
- Site A using a subnet of 192.168.10.0 mask 255.255.255.0
- Site B using a subnet of 192.168.11.0 mask 255.255.255.0
I have setup the VPN using the wizard and I got site to site tunnels connected and show as 1/1 Connected (1 user) in the status he IPsec connection status show
--Policy Name: VPNA
--Endpoint : public IP address from my ISP 203.117.222.221
--Packets Tx:145 Rx:0 and Kbytes shows Tx: 29.55 Rx:0
Q1 why I cannot use dynamic DNS naming in the policy setting ? eg: aaa.dyndns.org, I have to use the ip address instead eg: 203.117.222.221
Q2. I cannot connect from Site A to Site B , I can't even do a ping to 192.168.11.1 from Site A. even though it show the Site to site tunnel is coonected.
