In the WAN web server I disabled "Allow Remote Access" and now it won't let me back in to the adapter to change settings? How do I get back in? Once in I need to check why line 2 stops working. But have to get in first.

The router feeds 4 computers (a newer "primary" PC, and 3 secondary "old goats" that I use to print online grocery coupons). The 4 PC's are networked to share a common printer, a single directory on the "primary" PC, and using a 4-port KVM switch - I switch a single keyboard and mouse to whichever PC that I am using at the time.

I am looking for a USB to Serial converter that will allow me to access the console ports so I can configure these devices. I've read many old posts and still havent found a solution. Is it true that none of these cables work? Anything that will work on XP? (also have XP PC's).How about a RJ45 to Serial?? How about a PCI Serial card? I cant believe Cisco hasnt developed a conversion cable to use with their Console Cables?

Downstairs I have an older Dell PC that I use for my business. I have an Ethernet run from upstairs to downstairs. The Ethernet jack upstairs is near a cable outlet because we used to have cable internet. Now we have DSL and the phone jack is on the other side of the room. Here's my question... I have a Belkin N600 wireless router, is there any way I can plug it into the Ethernet port on the other side of the room, and use it like a wireless adapter? I have tried a few time to set it up as an "access point" but it doesn't seem to work. As soon as I do, I can no longer access the Belkin router to make any changes and I need to do a manual reset. can I plug my downstairs PC into the Belkin N600, and have wi-fi internet access from the wireless modem/router upstairs?

I've re-installed wireless adaptor (BY Voyager 1055), but router will not issue an IP via DHCP to my PC. Can connect to same router using a laptop (picks up IP using DHCP). Have tried using static IP, connects, then loses connection after a few seconds.Both bits of kit are XP SP2, could it be a driver issue? My local telecom provider is unable to assist saying "it's something to do with your PC".

3 years ago I had this same problem. I called my internet provider and someone was able to control my laptop from his computer. He opened some sort of settings screen that I had never seen before. I didn't even see how he got to it because he did it all so fast. After he changed a setting, my laptop was able to connect to the wireless internet. Since then, my internet provider has begun charging for this service so I've opted out of doing it again. I wonder if the man was using settings on the router website. If he was, what settings did he change that allowed my computer to connect?

When I went here [URL] and installed the software my Windows 7 Pro w/64 bit does not recognize the adapter. When I go to Device Manager it does see the Belkin under other devices. FYI I use the same wifi connection on my netbook and android, and they are working fine, so it's definitely not a problem with the ISP.
