Routers / Switches :: Intel Pro - 1000mt Network Adapter Not Communicating With It?
Aug 25, 2012
I have a dell optiplex gx270 desktop that can't detect netgear router. I am connected through a wire cable and have the driver for intel pro/1000mt network adaptor. It shows on the right bottom corner that I have the internet connection but I don't have IP address. I tried restarting computer and router to no avail. I have other computers at home to download drivers. So I visited dell and intel to diagnose and dowload driver for the Intel Ethernet adapter but still can't get no internet connection.
network adapter error code 10 in device manager saying the device can not start. window xp/asus mainboard M3A78-CM/AMD Athlon E5200 CPU.Uninstall and reinstall new drivers does not solve the problem.
I'm on a Dell Inspiron 530 using an Intel 82562V-2 wireless adapter.Ever since my PC fell asleep while I was updating to iOS 5.0 on my iPhone, I havent had wireless. It's not acknowledging my network.
Replaced the HDD in my wife's Inspiron 1420, Vista, Intel dual core T7250s
Broadcom 802.11n adapter
Kept all the disks shipped with the lappy, Prepped the HD per the media rules, loaded windows and the mediadirect and the driver resource CD.. they all had autoexecs and seem to run fine. Failed to connect to the net.. checked it out on device mgr, found the code 10 fail.. All other drivers seemed to have loaded..
tried to update the driver.. it said it already had the correct driver. - fail
DLed the Broadcom driver to a thumb and installed it - no difference. Rebooted.. several times during all this.
Read here it might be install order - thought I might try it manually. Looked for Intel T7250 drivers.. "not currently available" here.
I know now that this is a Desktop motherboard, officially not supported for Windows Server operating systems, but I would still like to get it to work. I've confirmed that the motherboard network works in WinXP (Intel 82579V Gigabit) and typically the 32-bit Windows XP drivers work on Server 2003 as well. Several of the other drivers have installed just fine, but the network driver install package fails with "No Intel Adapters are present."
I am trying to install Windows Home Server v1 (based on Windows Server 2003) on this box and just want to get a basic network driver up and running. I've checked the BIOS config, and Device Manager shows a yellow question mark by "Ethernet Controller". The ID is:
PCIVEN_8086&DEV_1503&SUBSYS_20408086&REV_043&11583659&0&C8 but I don't really know what to do with that...
I have a small, simple small business network. There are 2 switches - an 8-port switch connected to my main Windows server (which is the DHCP provider for the network), and a 24-port switch which is plugged into the 8-port switch.
I replaced these switches (Dell unmanaged switches) with the Cisco 200 series smart switches (the 8-port and 26-port models). When I plug the 26-port switch into the 8-port switch, it is unable to get its DHCP address from the Windows server. Also, any device plugged into the 26-port switch cannot communicate with any other device, and all of the ethernet port lights flash at the same time at the same frequency - quite a light show!
If I plug the Windows server DIRECTLY into the 26-port switch it receives a DHCP address.
I have tried a 2nd Cisco 26-port swtich and it does the same thing, so I assume it is not a hardware issue.
I enabled dual stack on my rv042g router but its not recieving ipv6 information from my isp. My isp is Time Warner in Milwaukee. They assure me that they are ipv6 ready and assume the problem is on my end. All they want to do is have me connect one computer up to my modem. What good is that when I have a network that needs service. The router needs to be working not just one pc. My ipv4 is working perfectly. It is obtaining all information automaticly.
I just received a new xps 15 yesterday. After some long hours of research, I found that I need a different wireless adapter to pick up my routers 5.0GHz signal. The wireless adapter in my XPS right now is an Intel Cetrino Wireless-N 1000. I was wondering if I ordered an Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300, if it would be compatible with my new laptop, and if so, the ease of switching the two adapters.
I have studio 1737, With my Intel WiFi 5100 AGN. I also instaslled latest drivers but when i want to scan for any wireless network it says adapter not found.
Panasonic TV (DLNA Device) - Ethernet WDTV Live Plus (DLNA Device) - WLAN Windows 8 PC - Ethernet Windows 7 PC - WLAN Samsung Galaxy S3 - WLAN
The WDTV can act as a media player for both the Windows 7 PC and Samsung Galaxy S3.The TV can act as a media player for the Windows 8 PC.If I connect the Windows 7 PC via Ethernet, then the TV sees it and can act as a media player for it and the WDTV no longer can.The TV can't act as a media player for the Samsung Galaxy S3 nor can they see each other to use the Galaxy S3 as a wireless remote (Viera remote android app) .Why can my wireless devices talk to each other and my wired devices talk to each other, but the wireless devices can't talk to the wired devices?
I've got several devices (two laptops, Xbox, WiiU, Apple TV, 2 ipads, and an iphone) that can connect to my home wifi network just fine. However, when connected it seems these devices cannot communicate with one another.
Homesharing between my iphone/laptop and Apple TV is no longer functioning. Also, I can not sync my windows media player with my Xbox, and I can not connect my iphone to the Xbox using AirMusic.
Here's my hardware: Motorola SB5101U SURFboard modem, Netgear Wireless N WNR2000 router.

i have an Asus u56e that I recently bought a couple of moths ago. It has been a great computer until today when my wireless randomly disappeared for no reason. The wireless adapter has been disabled for no reason, and when I try to re-enable it, I can't seem to find it.
I have a Dell E1705 running windows 7 64 bit. I am attempting to upgrade my internal wireless adapter to the Intel Advanced N 6235 card. After installing the new wireless card and loading the latest drivers from Intel, the card is not working correctly. The problem is that my computer shows "no connections available". Device Manager says the card is installed properly and that it is working properly however there are no wireless connections for me to connect to including my own.
I want to setup an home network with a wireless router and use multiple switches for wired connections through out my home. I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.
I have a belkin surf n300 usb wireless N micro adapter. No problems installing this adapter on a HP Desktop running windows 7. I have tried to install on a gateway laptop also running windows y 64 bit. In device manager it show that the product is working. It will not connect to any network. The adapter is an F7D2102 az ver. 2011az
I have one cisco 2851 router and one watchguare firewal currently being used as the main router. I want to connect the cisco as a secondary router on the same network.
I have 2 PC's connected to router. The router is connected to internet. The question is how to get the PC's in the outside network into router?if I connect 1 PC directly to internet I can find and share files with my friend pc ( my computer> network)but when I connect Router in between I cant find any PC's(I find only my PC's) in network.
Me and my friend hucked up a net wort from our houses (bout 50 feet away) he is brodcasting wirelessly, and my desktop is not wireless so i used a laptop to conect to his and conected a hard line to my router and conected it to my pc and bridged the conections.my router starting ip was fixed to 192.168.2.1 and his is set to 192.168.1.1 so itll conect and i turned off my dhcp ip (his is on). my wireless on the router is off. It worked and i have acess to the network and the internet but every once in a wile i get DCed with a windows error saying my ip for my pc is the same as another computer on the networkIs there a way to fix this? did I hook them up right cuse I am not that good a networking
I have 192.168.2.1 and 10.10.0.1But i cant connect to 10.10.0.1 network from 192.168.2.1 network. What should I do to connect that both are same network I have a Linksys Router.
I have a D-Link DIR -655 wireless router connected to my Time Warner Cable modem upstairs. Downstairs I have a PS3, Wii, Logitech Revue and a HP laptop. I get low signal strength downstairs(many walls) and would like to run an Ethernet cable downstairs to my devices. What hardware do I need downstairs to hard wire those devices? Not sure if router or switch and what kind. Do I need to make any changes to my existing D-Link wireless router? I want to keep the wireless available for cell phones and the HP laptop.
A friend was over with his lap top, since then I'm getting "sam's pc network",instead of my network, I can't seem to disable it, nor can the other devices in the house connect to it, the default is Sam's....
I am currently playing Football manager 2011 with a friend via a network game. The game will work perfectly if I connect my Laptop to the modem directly and bypass the Wireless. However if I try to play the game while connected to the wireless then my friend is unable to connect to the game. This is becoming an issue as for me to be able to play the game I have to turn the wireless off which is getting on the nerves of other family members
I have followed directions and forwarded the two ports to the local machine. I looked in the router setup to find my current public ip address from Comcast say its 98.221.99.99. If I am on the same network as the machine that is receiving the port forwards, and I type http:// 98.221.99.99 in a browser, the forwarding works fine.If I am external/not on the same network, typing http:// 98.221.99.99 in a browser times out. I have tried http:// 98.221.99.99:9000 too (9000 is the port I need forwarded) and that doesn work either. But, I do have remote management enabled for the router and if I am external/not on the same network and I enter http:// 98.221.99.99:8080 in a browser, I get the router login screen and can enter my user name and password and login to the router just fine.
I am wondering what the cable wires or sockets on the back of this router are for? could it be you can connect through the cable tv network the sockets fit perfectly in the back of the router thats a strange coinsidence dont you think?
I have a Buffalo NAS with IP address 192.168.1.30 linked to my router, which has IP address 192.168.2.1. Both have the same subnet mask: 255.255.255.0.DHCP on the router assigns IP's to my computers on the network (192.168.1.xxx). How do I access my NAS?
I want to block everyone from seeing each other on the LAN. So when someone goes to network neighborhood they can't see no one else on EXCEPT for the pritner or so. I want to do this using a Cisco 1841 router. How can I do this?
i have 3 home computers using the same wireless router. 2 of them have no problems detecting and accessing internet. one computer can access at times, but many times cannot detect network. i have tried restarting my modem, the router, my computer etc. at times, it works, at times it doesn't. at times, it is ok, at other times it is not.
