View 10 RepliesSince successfully restoring my laptop to factory settings I have been unable to connect using my Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.Initially it worked, but after a while it stopped. I have completed several system restores, and the wireless connection works for a few days. On the last occasion (after installing windows updates) I received the dreaded blue screen and have been unable to connect.I am not sure if it is related to installing new windows updates as prior to restoring to factory settings I had no issues with my wireless connection.I am able to connect using the ethernet cable and I am currently able to connect using Pluscom wireless usb adapter.I am using the fujitsu siemens amilo pi 2515 notebook.netgear dg834g router?

Since i installed windows 7 on my Samsung R530 notebook i am unable to connect to internet through built in network adopter. while on diagnos it appears that network adopter is not found or may be the driver not been installed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a dell optiplex gx270 desktop that can't detect netgear router. I am connected through a wire cable and have the driver for intel pro/1000mt network adaptor. It shows on the right bottom corner that I have the internet connection but I don't have IP address. I tried restarting computer and router to no avail. I have other computers at home to download drivers. So I visited dell and intel to diagnose and dowload driver for the Intel Ethernet adapter but still can't get no internet connection.

Kept all the disks shipped with the lappy, Prepped the HD per the media rules, loaded windows and the mediadirect and the driver resource CD.. they all had autoexecs and seem to run fine. Failed to connect to the net.. checked it out on device mgr, found the code 10 fail.. All other drivers seemed to have loaded..
tried to update the driver.. it said it already had the correct driver. - fail
DLed the Broadcom driver to a thumb and installed it - no difference. Rebooted.. several times during all this.
Read here it might be install order - thought I might try it manually. Looked for Intel T7250 drivers.. "not currently available" here.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know now that this is a Desktop motherboard, officially not supported for Windows Server operating systems, but I would still like to get it to work. I've confirmed that the motherboard network works in WinXP (Intel 82579V Gigabit) and typically the 32-bit Windows XP drivers work on Server 2003 as well. Several of the other drivers have installed just fine, but the network driver install package fails with "No Intel Adapters are present."
I am trying to install Windows Home Server v1 (based on Windows Server 2003) on this box and just want to get a basic network driver up and running. I've checked the BIOS config, and Device Manager shows a yellow question mark by "Ethernet Controller". The ID is:

I just received a new xps 15 yesterday. After some long hours of research, I found that I need a different wireless adapter to pick up my routers 5.0GHz signal. The wireless adapter in my XPS right now is an Intel Cetrino Wireless-N 1000. I recently entered the realm of wireless networking for my desktops and was able to connect my personal desktop successfully. Unfortunately, the other desktop I really need to make wireless is having difficulties. The computer never shows the message that a new device is discovered/installed. The adapter shows up under hardware devices and functioning properly but this is not the case. I installed the driver from the included CD but when I use Windows to troubleshoot, it says that the driver and adapter aren't working. When trying to set up a new network, I get a grayed-out wireless icon in the system tray and can't proceed. I disabled the firewall and antivirus so I could start over, uninstalling the driver, restarting and installing again.

I am attempting to upgrade my internal wireless adapter to the Intel Advanced N 6235 card.After installing the new wireless card and loading the latest drivers from Intel, the card is not working correctly. The problem is that my computer shows "no connections available". Device Manager says the card is installed properly and that it is working properly however there are no wireless connections for me to connect to including my own.

(We use a laptop most of the time which is able to pick it up fine).I've installed the wireless adapter into the computer and installed the drivers however I receive an error message:

I've a Dell studio 1555, windows home premium, 4 gb ram, 320gb hdd. Till yesterday everything was fine, all of a sudden my laptop stopped connecting to internet through wireless.I have tried it in safe mode. I have tried to delete the network also but now that left me with inputting the password everytime I want to connect. Its showing all the networks available, and it shows connected. but there is a triangle on the signal. But still it won't connect to the network. i've been searching in the internet for solution but couldn't find it. In a couple of tech forums people posted same problem for Dell studio 1555. But there is no solution. I think it has something to do with this model? I've been using it for past 3 years without many problems(except my mike is stuck with only yahoo messenger and won't work on skype/gtalk etc)I tried to download drivers from dell and install, but it gives error saying "This software package cannot be installed on your system. Setup will now exit."
I tried removing the drivers and then rebooted the system. The drivers were then automatically installed by the windows again. I went to Intel website and it downloaded a tool to my pc to check for old drivers and it found out my adapter was not having new drivers so I downloaded the drivers from there, installed them but its still the sameThis is my wireless adapter. I have this laptop with a built-in Intel Centrino Advanced-N + Wimax 6250 adapter to connect to WiMAX.Right now I have a WiMAX connection at home with a simple gateway. So what I want to do right now is trying to connect to this network using my built-in adapter.I'm facing right now is that the driver of the adapter only searchs for a certain provider from the US (Clear). I'd like to subscribe to their service but I live in Argentina so that's not a valid option. So my question is if you know of a custom driver or some other way to search for my local wimax network.

My old network set up had been 100% wired, but with the new router we have converted to wireless on some of the internet capable devices. I have 2 pc's side by side in separate room from the router that we purchased wireless adapters for, the Linksys AE1000. One pc set up fine and accesses the internet with no issues. The second pc cannot connect the network. It sees the network with a good signal strength, but it times out when trying to connect.I called tech support and have been through a variety of things with them to no avail so far.Both of these pc's are running Windows XP SP3. On the one that won't connect, have already confirmed in device manager that the adapter is correctly installed. I uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled it anyway with no luck. With tech support already tried disabling the 5ghz band and changing the channel on the 2.4ghz band to 11.I have confirmed several times I am entering the password in correctly, and I did pay attention to case sensitivity.When I run ipconfig/all, it says under Media State: Media Disconnected.

It is almost as if my computer itself is blocking the adapter.I spoke to an On Networks rep for over two hours and he tried everything from reinstalling to rebooting and tried three different drivers. He was from a different country and when I told him what the troubleshooter said he would not deviate from the script they give them 2 hours and he was not even close. It saw the device but it wouldn't even blink.Acers website nor customer service will assist me because my warranty is expired. For some reason just recently neither will connect to my netgear cable wifi router. I have two smartphones,xbox and two other laptops that connect with no problem. Everything is configured correctly that i can tell and both drivers have been updated. still nothing, it trys to connect but keeps saying identifying then it says no internet access. also i have disabled firewall and entered the security paraphrase twice just to make sure.

However the Acer Aspire 1640 with the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG will not.
SYMPTOMS: The system can see the network SSID, even seems to pick up the correct encryption (AES or TKIP) and also whether I've configured it for B or G modes. However when I attempt to connect to the network, the system prompts for the key, then pretends like it never did. A second attempt prompts for the key, and attempts to connect, but fails, simply saying "Cannot connect."
SOFTWARE: This laptop is running Windows XP Home Edition SP3. I've tried connecting using the Intel client PROSET software (the newest version, just downloaded) as well as the native Windows client. THE EXACT SAME BEHAVIOUR OCCURS, leading me to believe it's not a software issue.
HARDWARE: This is a D-Link DIR-601 at Hardware Version B1 and Firmware Version 2.00NA
I have the router set to WPA-Personal, WPA2 Only, TKIP (have tried it on AES too), G only (have also tried B only). The router has already been hard reset and I started over from scratch. I've also ensured I have the latest drivers for the wifi adapter.
Other laptops, tablets, and even phones can connect to the router with no issue.
Seems like this is an incompatibility with this particular Intel WiFi adapter, but cannot find any official list of incompatible hardware I can use to confirm.
Would changing the software to DD-WRT work in this case, do you think? Or is this more likely to be a hardware thing?
Sometimes I cannot connect to the router after my computer has been to sleep. This has occurred on different routers. I can still see the network, but am told I cannot connect when attempting to connect to it. Restarting/shut down does not solve the problem - I have to restart the router itself, and then my computer will reconnect automatically. Other computers/devices will be unaffected by this and maintain a connection the entire time. Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter using Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

It connects fine with my router WiFi running off DSL. I recently bought an iPhone 4 and set it up as a personal hotspot. I've been able to connect a friend's Macbook to it. But even though my HP laptop sees the iPhone network, when I try to connect to it I get "Unable to connect to this network. It may be out of range." - Set it so Windows configures my wireless network settings
- Created a wireless ad hoc in Wireless Network Connection Properties
- Changed it so that network access is given to ad hoc networks only
- For my LAN connection under Internet Connection Sharing, "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" is ticked I am able to connect to the network that I setup but when I try to connect to the internet it fails.When I check the Wi-Fi Networks setting on my iPod Touch it gives this information:

Dell 8600 centrino intel pro wireless lan 2100 won't connect to netgear n150 wnr1000. Running 802.11b band it sees wireless network but won't connect. I have 2 other computers connected to network so it works.... I don't know if Netgear n150 is compatible with 802.11b band...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just reformatted my Fujitsu A6120 lifebook laptop and I downloaded all the drivers and everything installed fine except for the Intel PRO/Wireless Network Driver. I even downloaded the driver from Support Downloads. After I installed it, a notification popped up in the task bar with the Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless saying Driver is not installed. edit: in device manager, under network adapters there is only the 1394 net adapter and there are yellow exclamation marks in other devices.
