Of course it would be great if the guests have to log on your personal page.On this page you would be able to indicate the rules and and limitations. It would also be a good option for certain that your guests a limited time duration for the connection and gives max download. This would also be found to be in a log.

Problem:
guest SSID is turned on
password is established
All devices will connect to the guest SSID and the E4200 is assigning an ip address to the device in the 192.168.33.xxx range which is what it's supposed to do.When I open a web browser, I am not automatically redirected to the Cisco Login Page. If I enter 192.168.33.1 as the URL, the login screen is presented. I enter the password I have created in the guest admin page on the wireless guest tab. I then see a blank page and a URL of 192.168.33.1/guestnetwork.asp. THIS IS WHERE I GET STUCK. THE ONLY WAY TO EVER SEE THE LOGIN PAGE AGAIN IS TO REBOOT THE E4200, otherwise you just get unable to connect messages when opening web browsers and the wireless status icon in the system tray shows a yellow exclamation mark.
I successfully connect to the guest SSID but I do not get access to the internet. When I type ipconfig, I see that the DNS is set to 192.168.33.1 which does not exist on my network. I assume there's some internal NAT magic that is supposed to happen in the E4200 to bridge me over to my 192.168.15.xxx network but it doesn't seem to be happening.At the beginning of the call I specifically asked them if the E4200 must be the DHCP server in order for the guest SSID feature to work and they said no. 1.5 hours later they had no answers so they told me that it wasn't working because the E4200 was not the DHCP server. The documentation says nothing about a DHCP requirement for guest AP service. Linksys support further could not answer what you would do if you needed more than one AP with guest service enabled.It seems like this is a firmware issue but it may be the guest SSID service requires the E4200 to also act as the DHCP server. Whether this is a bug or if the router/AP is working as designed?

However we probably wont use the security.We are replacing 2811 routers.Unfortunately the 2811 routers have FXS ports with 2 - 4 POTS handsets - I completely forgot about these ports when I was ordering.Now I have VIC3-FXS cards which are ok in the 2911 but unfortunately I cant get them to work.I am missing PVDMs (well adapters anyway), and even if I got them the router wont take any commands relating to voice due to the license.Is is possible to 'rehost' the security and turn it into a UC ?I am new to these 2911 and Licensing.

I can see the routers on the topology map, but when I try to add to community I get an error message stating that the router is unreachable (Unable to connect). I can ping device from ame client. I can view Device Properties for map (Device type: CISCO2911/K9). Telenet attempt to connect but we only use SSH for connectivity (the same as all of my switches that are connected to community). 2911 is listed as a supported router on Cisco site.

I have been given ongoing task which other IT Technicians been struggling for almost a year with a idea that maybe because I'm fresh person in the company I will find a original idea why could this thing not work.
Our router have a problem with blocking a single IP address, but not completely It's hard to explain but I will try my best. Company is hosting their website externally and accessing the host and FTP on the host on daily bases. It is important for the website to work on the internal network in company. It does work sometimes, but from time-to-time the website showing time-out error 118 on any point before Cisco router using both http and https, have tried putting just the IP address( doesn't matter is it on the general network or last ISA server on DMZ ). I am able to connect to the website using any of proxy gates but not directly to the website. I have also tested the connection past the router and I was able to connect to the website without any problems. I am also able to ping the host's address from the router and internal network.
I have eliminated the possibility of not correctly setup proxy or firewall on the network as problem also occur on the DMZ. I have also checked access-lists on the router and firewall rules for Any possibilities and I can't really see a way why would the router do this.
I am having 2911 router running with C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(4)M5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)IOS and i have configured the following commands for eigrp

-no auto-summary
It takes all 3 commands but when i check through show run command i am not seeing no auto-summary command.
how this switch module works in 2911 router? I have two 2911 routers in HSRP configuration for redundancy with crossover cable between switch modules. OSPF running on routers.If active router loses its power and then comes back again, it boots first, its internal link to switch module comes up and it starts to forward packets to switch module. The switch module starts to boot only after router is ready. So I have outage of about 3-4 minutes. For our real-time applications it is way too long.
any way to start booting of the switch module before router gets ready?I understand I can boot it manually, but it is only after router is ready. Only way to get around it I found is to disable internal link and use router interface to connect to the switch module.

I have a strange issue that I am having an issue figuring out. I am trying to login to the 1941 router through the console port. When I enter the username and password, which I just set, it fails. I am able to login under a different login but when I try to enter the enable mode the enable password doesn't work, which I just set as well. I can login with the TACACS+ login from a SSH session. Here is the line config:

These PCs are not configure to use domain.The thing is whenever I let my guest to connect to my wireless modem router for internet usage. They will be able to see all of my shared Folder(4 PCs) under the network Terminals.Is there anyway i can restrict the guest from accessing/seeing my shared folder and allow them to connect to my WAP to use for internet browsing only ?

I am using Cisco 2911 & IOS version is 15.1. My problem is that after some days (e.g. 15-20 days), the routing table suddenly stops updating & then I have to enter the default route again to make it up. I am using Track 1 to track default route here. After primary link goes down, the Track is also going down but after coming the primary link up, the track is not coming up. So, I have to add the default route again to make it up.

I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website.We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. It doesn't work. I have tried IE7, Chrome, Firefox and they all have the same problem. The laptop runs IE8 and has the same problem.I can ping the page successfully. I can traceroute the page successfully. I can't nslooup any site at all. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.
I am implementing a guest wireless network to work alongside my internal network. The guest network will use the existing switching network and will be separated by VLANs. I have the ASA set so that traffic can get to it and out to the Internet. I can set up a workstation on the same VLAN as my guest network and can route inside my network (strictly doing this for testing purposes). Where I am having problems is with the Catalyst 4506 switches and the ip routing. I had two separate "ip route" statements defined on my switches.

I have discovered that the traffic is always following the default route despite the fact that my IP address on my test workstation falls in the 10.200.2.x network. I was looking at documentation and found that it is possible to set up policy-based routing on the core switches. Can you have two "ip route" statements defined like this to segreate traffic or do I have to use PBR for routing (or a combination) in this case? If I define PBR then how does that impact my existing routing? I need to make sure that I can still route the existing traffic while I'm configuring this change.
I am configuring my first 2911 using a SFP card but I dont know the interface name for this module.

What is the interface number for this card or if it needs some config before it will recognize the interface?
