I can't accsess web-interface on SF-300-24. My computer is on the same subnet. Can only access by RS232. The Switch doesn't answer on ping either. In the manual it says the switch has ip-adress 192.168.1.254.
View 4 RepliesGot a shiny new SG 200 26P which seems to work fine operationally.owever, when I am trying to access the web interface from a different IP subnet, the web brower just times out.If I put my PC on the same IP subnet, it works just fine. From the other subnet, I can ping the switch fine. The default gateway is set on the switch, and from the web interface I can ping and dns resolve other hosts and on the internet. I've tried to create a management profile to 'allow all from everywhere' basically, but still no luck.I'm completely stumped. I've tried to reset to firmware defaults, and I'm now runinng the latest firmware. I woudl suppose that the switch would allow itself to be managed via the web interface from all subnets by default. Any thoughts? The fact that the switch can ping internet hosts makes be believe it's own default gateway and IP are all ok and working.. (and I can ping it from anywhere in my network).

I configured a Switch Cisco 3560X with a basic configuraction, My problem is that when I access Web interface by http://X.X.X.X an login after the image that I attached.I tried restore the default configuration, also tried with different navigator, chrome, Internet explorer, fireffox, safari, change laptop... and update the java client.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have one computer connected to the 4506 that management does not want this PC to have access to anything on our network except our DHCP server and the one printer that resides on our network. I created an extended access list as follows. Our network is the 10.10.x.x and the external addresses the PC needs to access is 11.1.x.x. Once this PC is rebooted, it is unable to access DHCP to get the needed IP address it bounces back to a 169.x.x.x address and stops working.

Then I applied the access-group 2000 on the interface the PC is connected to. What am I missing for DHCP to work and for this PC to always get the ip address that is reserved?
I currenly have a cisco AP1142N configured to work with our radius server (It was already configured when I took over the network). I order two additional access points for building coverage on multiple floors. Currently, I uploaded the config of the orginal access point to the new device and I can access the device via web and the ssid is being broadcasted. I then added in the access point into IAS with the radius secret key to our Radius server. When I go to connec to the new access point w/ domain credentials I am not able to establish a connection. I am not very familiar with CISCO products. I followed a video to get the access point up and running w/ an IP from CLI so I could access the web interface and upload the edited config.txt file. Are there any issues with setting up multiple access points w/ a single windows radius (IAS) server?

I had this setup and working and I have another set of equirement that I am replacing that is working with my service provider so I know it is a configuration issue. When I ping 4.2.2.2 for example I get:

Quick question here. Using 3750E series switches with multiple VLANS configured. These switches serve as our 'core'. I have SVIs configured for the different VLANs and add inbound ACLs in each of the SVIs to control traffic between VLANS. This switch also terminates a P2P Ethernet link which connects to our Colo facility. The port used for this is configured as an L3 port. I noticed today that I was able to send traffic across this L3 link that I thought should have been blocked by an ACL I had in place but it wasn't. So the traffic flowed from a port in say VLAN 20 across this L3 link (assigned with an IP address). Would this traffic flow not cause traffic to be checked against an ACL applied in the inbound direction on the SVI of VLAN 20 (int vlan 20)? Traffic does get checked when routing between SVIs. Why would it not get checked when routing between SVI and L3 interface?

[code] So can we put some ports on different switches in, let`s say vlan 50, with different ips? For example, Port 0/3 on Switch 1 and 0/8 on Switch 2, but keeping the ip of the "old" vlan? I notice strange input rates on the interfaces of a 881 router:

How can 11 packets/sec be 85000 bits/sec -- average packet size of 8KB?. The total packets input (221434 packets versus 287+ MB) also shows this kind of a 10KB+ average packet size. There is ahardly any traffic through the router when the above snapshot was taken so 11 packets/sec sounds right, but not the 85Kbits/sec.
The router is running c880data-universalk9-mz.151-4.M4.bin and config is simple with a single Vlan (inside NAT) with a public IPs on fa4 and a couple of IPs for dynamic NAT. Everything works fine except for these interface counters that look worng.
There is some way to increase the speed of changing the interface state from DOWN to UP when the cable is connected. I need to configure a port of Cisco 4503 in a way that when a cable is connected the port goes immediatly UP.
A solution can be to keep Cisco interface always UP and I remember that with "no keepalive" command to the interface configuration it was possible. But I tried and nothing happens.
How to confirm if a 10Ge interface can be set down to 1Ge if required ?

I am in the process of staging a couple of two new Cisco ASR 1004's which are located at two locations with a WAN link in between. I need to set up connectivity between servers plugged directly into each ASR router across the WAN link. The ASR has 16 gig interfaces (gi0/0/0 - gi0/0/7 and gi0/1/0 - gi 0/1/7), and a management interface (gi0). I have connected the WAN link to gi0/0/0 and put an ip address on it. The servers will be plugged into the remaining gig interfaces. I tried to create an SVI (vlan interface) in an attempt to create an L3 interface to support routing to these servers but these routers don't allow SVI's to be created. how to put these server connected ports on a vlan and to create an L3 interface to provide routing to them?

I have Comcast as my ISP and their Small Business Gateway Router/Firewall. I purchased a WRVS4400N and configured them like this:

I turned DHCP off on the Cisco so that wireless devices that connect to it get a 10.1.10 address from the Comcast device. Now, I am completely unable to connect to the web interface of the Cisco, whether connected to it wirelessly or even if I plug directly into one of the LAN ports on it. I have one of the LAN ports on the Cisco connected to one of the LAN ports on the Comcast. What am I missing here? I'm guessing I'm not able to see the 10.1.11 addresses when I am getting a 10.1.10 address from the Comcast, even though I'm connected to the Cisco?

I want to bring up 40G interface between two nexus 3064 over the fiber but it's not coming up. Have configured the switch for 48*10G and 4*40G. I'm using QSFP on both the switches, OM3 straight fiber cable with MPO connector. The interfaces are not coming up. Notably, it comes up with Coax 3M cable. So it's fine with coax but not with fiber.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2621 that I am configuring on the internet. My ISP gives me a static DHCP assigned address and then two more static addresses that are not part of the same block. (e.g. 1.2.3.4 is static via dhcp and then they give me 5.6.7.8/30).
I have fa0/0 getting 1.2.3.4 ia dhcp. I have 5.6.7.8 on a loopback interface for PAT/NAT as I have the main one on fa0/0 doing vpn to a remote ASA. The problem is that I have yet another device that needs a public IP, mainly 5.6.7.9... I want to hook that device up to fa0/2 (this box has three fa interfaces). How do I setup fa0/2 if I want to give the device on it a real live public IP address? I have done this before, but it must have been 10 years back on an even older CISCO and I can not remember how I did it.
I currently use L3 switches as edge routers to my WAN. I want to use a pair of 3560x switches with IPbase to provide a failover path to my WAN using HSRP at one location but had some problems testing the configuration. My plan is use a virtual address on the LAN interface (VLANx which port gi0/1 accesses) and the WAN interface (VLANy which port gi0/24 accesses). I want switch 1 to be primary since it will have an IPS attached to it, and switch 2 will be backup and used only when switch 1 or the IPS requires maintenance. On both the LAN and WAN sides there is no advanced routing going on, the various hosts just depend on the availability of their respective default gateways, so HSRP should be sufficient to provide a failover in either direction.
In my testing I got 1 or the other link to fail over but not the entire switch. What should my config look like to achieve failover of the entire switch in the event 1 or the other interface goes down, and fail back when the primary links are again available?
