Cisco Switching/Routing :: Create Different Policies For Vlans On 3750 Table
Jun 27, 2012
I am looking for a way to create different routing policies for vlans on a 3750 table.
My set up is
Clients----------- 3750 -------------- ASA ---------------Servers
|
|
|
Internet Routers
What i am trying to do is on the 3750 to route private networks to my ASA on different subintefaces and all internet to my internet routers . Each VLAN has a different GW for the internet. On some case i have the ASA as a default gateway. ASA default default route is 3750 where i need the internet traffic to be spllited on the proper Boarder router.

I just want create vlans on switch sge2010p
Scenario:
vlan10
ip address 192.168.10.254/24
vlan20
ipaddress 192.168.20.254/24
vlan10 needs internet.
I have a static ip internet which is 200.33.22.11 gateway: 200.33.22.10 I have a router configured working as gateway, It has ip 192.168.2.1.
I have configured two vlans. But when I try to check if vlan has internet, it doesn't work.

I need to set up a VLAN. We just bought the SG500x switches and we need to create several VLANs.
So for example:
192.168.1.x --> Vlan 1
192.168.2.x --> Vlan 2
192.168.3.x --> Vlan 3
What I would like to know is how do I come about setting this up and do I have to do something with my DHCP server to allow this to happen?

we have a 3750 and use dhcp services on the switch. every so often we run out of ip's even though we have much less users than the size of the allocated dhcp pool. I've noticed that the dhcp bind table is full but a ping-sweep only shows very few ip's being assinged and used. It looks like the IP addresses are not being released from the table even though I have decreased the lease time to 8 hours.

I have one VLAN on a 3750 where I do not see any MAC addresses even though it is in use. This is an unrouted VLAN between a WLC on a port- channel /LAG and an access port to an ASA for guest traffic. When I do a show MAC add I get nothing for VLAN 60 (guest DMZ) but all other VLANs seem to be OK. Spanning tree is not showing TC counters incrementing either.
I also was told when put a port on this VLAN the laptop did not get a DHCP address form the ASA, but the wireless guest clients are working fine. I can see the DHCP leases and ARP entries in the ASA and the ASA ARP in the WLC so some traffic is passing fine. I'm not onsite right now so troubleshooting is all remote which limits some options.

I have a stacked Cisco Catalyst 3750 configuration that currently has one V LAN configured. VLAN 192 - 10.192.0.0/16
The Catalyst has an ip on this range of 10.192.0.1. I would like to configured a few more V LAN's to be able to run some more network ranges through this device. Would it be a case of just adding the V LAN's to the master and then configuring an IP for each V LAN within the inter-v lan routing section? Some V LAN's will require access to each other but not all.

I have to put an ACL Firewall in front of a public IP range.There's no routing so I want to do it with a transparent layer 2 Firewall. I found this document which descibes exactly that feature I need: [URL]
It seems to be a feature introduced in IOS 12.3.
My Questions:
1.) is it possible use this transparent firewall feature with the 3750 Switch instead of a "normal" IOS-Based router?
2.) I've seen there is no IOS 12.3 for the 3750 but rather 12.2 (currently installed) or 15.0.1. Is this Feature included in 15.0.1?
If the feature described above is not available, is there any other way to achieve my goal?

Currently have two routers inside our network.
One is the default GW 10.1.1.13
One is Jump Router for ATT 10.1.1.12
Both connected to HP Procurve L2 switch
The ATT Router is 10.1.1.2Want to replace GW and Jump with one 3750 L3 switch.icomplish this with only one port g0/1 connected to HP Procurve?Can I make the switchport 10.1.1.13 and then create a ip vlan999 10.1.1.12?route all to 10.1.1.2Or do I just connect two ports, and hardcode them with an ip?

I'm trying to setup a port on a catalyst 3750 so it will pass traffic for 2 vlans. It connects to a (watchguard) firewall which I've configured with a primary IP (for vlan 27) and a secondary IP (for vlan 29).
However I can't seem to find the correct commands to enter on the cisco switch port (I've tried a variety).
FYI the current configuration is...
interface FastEthernet1/0/38
description ## Connection to WG vlan27 and vlan 29 ##
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

Currently we have an Ava ya IP Office switch running on the same network as our PC clients. I would like to seperate the two network into 2 V LAN's.
We have a mixture of Catalyst 3750 switches and some older 3500 models.Where do I start? Should I leave the PC's and servers on the default V LAN and just move the IP handsets?

I would like to configure a 3750 switch port to be able to use two vlans. I know you can do this with a voice and data vlan, but what about two data vlans ? Say I have two devices, one on a 10 subnet and the other on a 172 subnet, but i only have one wall jack for both devices to plug into. So I use a mini switch to connect both devices and connect the switch to the wall jack; and of course this all leads back to one switch port. When I go to enter the switchport access vlan 172 cmd, how would I also make it so the device on the 10 subnet could route out ?

I have a fresh install of an ACS 5.4 virtual appliance. This ACS instance will only be used for TACACS+ AAA for network device administration. It is up and running on the network. I have time, timezone, NTP and DNS configured. ACS admin accounts and logging are configured. I created an internal user, a network device, a network device group, an internal identity group, a shell profile, and command set. It is joined to the Enterprise Active directory domain, and a couple of AD groups have been selected for use in policies.The default network device is enabled and configured with a TACACS secret. I have a lab router configured and pointed at ACS and I can SSH to it with the ACS internal user.The problem is: I can’t create any rules for any policies. If I try to add a rule (or edit a default rule) to the “Service Selection Rules” or “Default Device Admin” or Identity, group mapping or authorization, all I get is a popup with the message “Resource not found or Internal Server error”. If I click “customize” anywhere I just get empty selection/transfer boxes. If I try to change to a single result policy from compound rules I get a “System failure – your changes were not saved” message. I have installed this twice now with the same results.This is my first experience with ACS. I’ve gotten through most of the configuration guide but I don’t know ACS well enough to know if I’m missing something incredibly obvious, or whether it’s just broken.

I used two sf-300 switch and create 4 vlans and intervlan routing is working fine.
Port 1 - 10 -------------> Vlan 1
Port 2 -20----------------> Vlan 2
Port 3 - 30------------------> Vlan 3
Port 4 - 40--------------------> Vlan 4
giga1 -----------------> connected to router (This router used for intervlan routing).
SF-300 Port 1 is connected to Internet Modem. This modem worked as dhcp server also for vlan 1, my problem is that when vlan 1 is not communicate to vlan2,3,4 and 2,3,4 are not communicating.
How i can communicate vlan 1 to 2,3,4 vlan.
how i can connect the modem in switch? Access port or Trunk port ( Presently available in vlan 1 Access port)Any route i need to make? sf-300 or modem or router?

I've one Cisco 3750G-12S with ip routing enable, the swtich is with IP Service firmware, with PRR support.Currently set my default static route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.18.71 to my Firewall A Currently all of the VLAN for will be routed to 10.1.18.71
I've created a new VLAN 2 for my 10.1.2.0/24 network with the VLAN interface 2 ip address 10.1.2.10, my intention is to route 10.1.2.0/24 traffic to my 10.1.2.1 by creating the access list and route-map.
I've configure my test pc with a static ip and my gateway pointing to 10.1.2.10 (VLAN 2 gateway) , i'm not able to route to 10.1.2.1.

I've been testing some QoS policies, and I have not been able to make a type QoS policy work in the outbound direction. Simple example:
ip access-list QOS-VOICE
10 permit ip any 10.120.11.0/24
20 permit ip 10.120.11.0/24 any
class-map type qos match-any IN-VOICE
description Voice/VoIP/IPT
[code]....
The 7Ks are running NX-OS 5.2(4). Just wondering - has any one got an outbound qos policy to work on a N7K?

We have two Cisco 3560E layer 3 switches at the core of our network. The switches are configured as an HSRP pair and the clients on our network point to the HSRP address as their default gateway. So if CORE-A dies, then CORE-B will pick up the address and the default route for the clients will continue to be available.We also need to specify a few static routes on the core switch to allow us to get to specific networks. Is there a way to do this so that the routes failover in the same way that the default gateway does?

I am using Cisco 2911 & IOS version is 15.1. My problem is that after some days (e.g. 15-20 days), the routing table suddenly stops updating & then I have to enter the default route again to make it up. I am using Track 1 to track default route here. After primary link goes down, the Track is also going down but after coming the primary link up, the track is not coming up. So, I have to add the default route again to make it up.

We have small which I'm looking to implement and have built this on GNS3.
We have:
Router A in site 1
Router B in site 2
Router C in site 3
Router A and B are connection via a point to point 100M link and from Router C we have a 2 point to point one of which is 5Mpbs and going to Router A and Router B.
For Router C to reach Router A network it will go via Router B and these are 100M connection. When the link between Router A and B goes down. Router C should update and start using the 5m route.
For some reson, the routes are not updating. I have to do 'clea ip eigrp ne' for the routes to update and if I reload the routers all works well, it seems the problem is intermittent.

I am attempting to filter a specific host(s) from my OSPF routiing table on a ASA 5550 (ABR) using LSA prefix lists. However, when I look at the other routers in that area, I notice that ALL LSA type-3's are being removed (10 hosts are now missing from the routing table). I have verified the filter is working on the ABR, but I can't figure why ALL hosts/routes that were coming into the area are now being filtered instead of the specific one that I want to filter out.
Here is the config on the ABR:
prefix-list pdm_pl_000 seq 10 permit 206.253.180.137/32
!
!
router ospf 1
network 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 area 0
network 10.150.10.0 255.255.255.0 area 10
network 10.150.252.0 255.255.255.224 area 10
[code]....
The 206.253.180.137 host is actually coming from Area '3'. Am I doing something that is removing all type-3 LSA's?
