I would like to use a Cisco 1921 at my house and create a "Easy VPN Remote" connection to our ASA 5510 at work. Can I use the Easy VPN Client with the base license, or do I need the security license to take advantage of the VPN tunnel?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one ASA 5510 on main office that access the internet trought of a private link and one ASA5505 on the branch office that access the internet trought of a ADSL link with dynamic IP.
Behind ASA 5510 the network is 10.8.40.0/24 and behind the ASA 5505 the network is 10.30.103.0/24. I want access both network trought of the frame-relay link and the internet link with EzVPN.I make that access only ip on the main office, this comunication go to frame-relay link and the everyone go to the VPN.When the traffic go to the frame-relay link, I use a NAT Static Policy that change the source 10.30.103.0/24 to source 10.40.103.0/24. Its work OK when a VPN do not UP.When the VPN is UP, the NAT dont work and the packet go to the true IP (10.30.103.0/24).
(Router is ISR 1921)This is doing my head in. I am not using NAT, there are no ACLs, there is no split horizon.Here is what I have. It is practically generated by CCP. When connected I cannot ping the loopback interface or the gig0/0 interface, (not to mention anything else).

I am attempting to bring up a remote router using a pppoe connection by replacing the current Tenda 308R router with a Cisco 1921 using the Ethernet connection on the WAN side. The connection works fine with the Tenda in place but when I put the Cisco in I get no connection and no answer for my PADI queries.I always get padi timer expired. I do not think it is even getting to the ppp authentication. [code]

I configured a unique DHCP scope on each 5505. I have a dynamic crpto map on the server. I configured unique tunnel groups, group policies and usernames for each site on the server. This seems to work fine. Is it normal to configure unique tunnel groups, group policies and usernames for each remote site?

so I would like to know if I have a cisco 800 series lets say with interface fa0/0 being my public interface.can I have on this interface an easyvpn connection to a hub and a crypto map xyz connection to another hub?all the tests I've done using gns3 indicate no. when I have both on the same interface only eazyvpn works. when I remove the eazyvpn from the interface then site to site works.I know with a crypto map I can have different tunnels but my question is a crypto map and an eazyvpn on the same outside interface can it work.if yes, do you have a configuration example of the 2 hubs and the spoke?

I used Cisco Document ID 100936 "Allow Split Tunneling for AnyConnect VPN Client on the ASA Configuration...". I created a new Group Policy with split-tunnel enabled. I created a new Connection Profile and assigned to it the new Group Policy. When I authenticate at the AnyConnect client I get a dropdown of the 2 connecton profiles, to choose the one I want. Each of them works, enabling or disabling split-tunnel. But I want to assign a connection profile to the particular user, not give the user a choice. The problem is I'm using LDAP authentication. The Local Users I set up before LDAP are obsolete, assigning them a Group Policy does nothing. I really don't want to give up LDAP and force people back to another local password. But the LDAP authentication to Active Directory just says yes or no, it won't assign a connection profile. At the AnyConnect Connection Profiles page I have set a switch "Allow user to select connection profile, identified by its alias, on the login page. Otherwise, DefaultWebVPNGroup will be the connection profile". If I clear that switch every user will be assigned the same default profile, which does not work.

VPN 1841, and static nat. I have to create VPN to connect to remote network, but problem is that they already use same subnet as mine. How to configure static nat on cisco 1841 so static nat will work and address will be translated in different IP when connection trough VPN.

I have an ASR 1002. Behind that and across another small MAN network (considered inside) I have an ASA. On the remote end, I have a simple 2811.
I need to create a vpn peer from the remote router to both the ASR (to hand off traffic there) and also a peer at the ASA (to encrypto across the MAN). The ASR1002 has the serial connection (DS3) to our MPLS cloud in which the remote is on the opposite side of.
So basically, I've created a single isakmp policy with two crypto map's by the same name but set to different peers and placed on the remote router then applied it to the serial interface. This works fine. Now i throw in the ASA which is behind the ASR. However, the connection still comes through that ASR to get to the ASA.After setting it up, it works as long as I don't have the crypto map applied to the ASR. If i apply the crypto map to the so interface of the ASR, my asa vpn connection stops working.It almost seems as if the crypto map on the ASR is grabbing my enrypted traffic destined for xx.xxx.24.14 and trying to do something with it. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded my ASA 5510 to 8.3 code and honestly I am confused on the best and most efficient way to do many nat translations through it. I have a group of about 100 IP's that need http/https/and sqlnet allowed through for our web farm.
I have a text file with the real and translated IP addresses and in 8.2 I could simply modify it and dump the thing in and make the NAT rules and access-lists. Now with the new object based model I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around how to do this using as few lines of code as possible.

I am trying to setup intervlan routing with a Cisco ASA 5510 and two 2960-S switches. The 5510 currently is using ASA Version 7.0(2) and has a base license. I tried to create a sub interface today based on some info I found regarding the routing piece and it didn't recognize the command. I'm thinking I may need to update the IOS code or the license on the firewall. I know the syntax was correct because I looked it up and found it in a Cisco document.

Im asking above question because we will need to enable ip-sla on the mentioned router. as i read on the cisco webside, it says Cisco-ISR-1921/K9-IP Base support only IP-SLA RESPONDER feature nothing else. If Cisco-921/K9 does not support the above commands , should i go for ordering Cisco-1921-SEC/K9 ?
