I want to connect my office network through anyconnect software and want to have the access of the whole network at my office, so that I can feel that I am at office. I have got 1841 router at my office. Is it possible to do VPN with anyconnect on 1841 router. Which IOS is required for SSL vpn ?

-I login to the portal page and click the "Start" button for "Tunnel Connection (SVC)"
-Security Alert message "This page requires a secure connection which includes server authentication. The Certificate Issuer for this site is untrusted or unknown. Do you wish to proceed?" I click yes.
-Anyconnect says "Please wait while VPN connection is established"
-Anyconnect error "The certificate on the secure gateway is invalid. The VPN connect will not establish"
I am having some problems with my AnyConnect configuration.I have configured AnyConnect (ssl vpn / webvpn) on my Cisco 1841 Router, and I can access it from a web browser and start the tunnel, then anyconnect starts up and then the problem come, because when AnyConnect is trying to connect it comes with an error saying "The certificate on the secure gateway is invalid".
I have read almost all of the threads in here about the problem also tried to make a new certificate, but nothing is working?
BTW: I am using self-signed certificate?
It's almost impossible to use Anyconnect VPN on an 877 router because there just isn't enough space on the standard flash card to install the Anyconnect pkg file, and it seems crazy that you have to install the pkg files on the router anywhere when you can download and install Anyconnect standalone clients for Windows and other platforms - is there any way you can setup Anyconnect without having to install the clients on the router?

Well, one think I used pretty heavily on my Linksys WRG54GS was a simple port forward to my XP box for VPN. I know nothing about how to currectly set up VPN in this router. Does this router have a built in VPN server? Also, is there anyway to completely disable everything VPN side on this router and simply forward my port 1723 to my computer again? I am using this in conjunction with my android phone. I downloaded the AnnyConnect software, but yielded zero success. I have a working tun.ko installed on my rooted android phone, but this all is completely too much work for something that worked very well before using simple port forwarding and the built in vpn client on the phone. How can I correctly set up my router for the VPN to use with the AnnyConnect application I have on my cell phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA client was having some email issue and was requested to change the 1841's LAN and WAN interface MTU to 1400 bytes. i've used 'mtu' command but was rejected and got an error like to one attached. so i used 'ip mtu' instead to make the change.
What's the difference between the 2 commands and if this would achieve the said change. I've checked using the show interface it's still showing MTU of 1500 bytes.

In my company, we have two Internet connections, one for VPN and the other for emails and browsing. I have Cisco 1841 router with dual ADSL links, and also it's conntected to ASA and the other PIX. through one physical interface (vlan 1and vlan 2). The PIX firewall is connected to users, and the ASA is for VPN only.How can I seperate the traffic is going for emails and browsing and the vpn traffic. I have got to the point, that the router is configured for both ADSL connections, and I also configured the access-list and route-map in the router, the thing is when both ADSL configured together none of them works.

I have a Cisco 1841 router equipped with a serial interface and an ISDN BRI interface installed.The router has stopped suddenly responding and no display is beig obtained when trying to access the router through the console port.I have check the router LEDs and they display the following:
SYS PWR - It is showing solid green which means the router is receiving power, and the internal power supply is functional. It is not blinking green as is normally the case when the router is rebooted.
SYS ACT - It is showing solid green. It should normally be blinking green showing that the system is actively transferring packets and monitoring internal activity. CF - It is showing solid green. It should normally be off indicating that the CompactFlash memory card is not being accessed or be blinking green showing that the CompactFlash memory card is being accessed.
I have even replaced the CompactFlash memory with another one and removed the two WICs installed but the router still fails to initialise properly and respond through the console terminal program. how the router can be further troubleshooted or if it can be repaired?

I have a CISCO RV220W Wireless router, running the latest firmware (1.0.1.0) and CISCO's AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v3.0.2052, and Windows 7, 64 bit. My laptop is a corporate based work laptop, and I am trying to use it to connect to my home network ( CISCO RV 220W ).
When I try to connect my PC via the wireless network (to the CISCO Router), via CISCO's AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, the WiFi connection never actually takes place - rather the CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client s/w interface suggests that it is "associating" and seems to go into an endless loop. It never receives a DHCP address from the CISCO router. ( see attached picture ).
If I disable the "Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager" service, as well as the "Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager Logon Module" service within Windows 7, I have no problems establishing a WiFi network with my CISCO router via the traditional Windows approach of connecting to a WiFi network. The inability to connect wirelessly comes back, when these services are re-enabled. It appears to me (a layman) as if the "Network Access Manager" layer is preventing connection to the CISCO router via WiFi.
I have no problems connecting to the CISCO router using CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobile client over a physical Ethernet cable. I also have a Belkin branded Wireless router that works perfectly with the CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. All of the wireless settings on the CISCO RV220W router are factory default.
how I can get the CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to play nicely with the CISCO Router when I wish to establish a WiFi connection?
I have also attached the Windows based Event Log associated with this trouble shooting - associated with the "Network Access Manager" logging. SSID C&C@Home is the CISCO Router, whilst SSID Cam@Home is the Belkin wireless router.

We are using Cisco 1841 routers in our organisation. Presently we use first ethernet ports to transfer data from WAN to LAN side. Now we want to add another port so that we can take two input from WAN side and one at LAN side. Can we do it by using existing auxillary port or we need to purchase additional HWIC module?
