Nov 9, 2011I have cisco 3750 with ipservices license and I am running with c3750e-universal-mz.122-50.SE2. And I would like to upgrade the IOS " k9" IOS. ie c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-50.SE2. Is there any license required for that ?Also any difference in the IOS upgrade procedure.

1. Do I have to license both firewalls for SSL VPNs? These licenses are very expensive and why would I have to purchase it for secondary when I am not using it?
2. SSL vertificate for the firewall it self. Do I have to acquire one or two to ensure users don't get annoying message about self signed certificate? Cisco doesn't seem to have this discussion in any documents. However I found following URL discussing from somebody's experience. What's official statement from Cisco on this matter? [URL]

Apr 24, 2011I have two C1941.The first C1941 does not support SNTP but the second C1941 supports SNTP. The only difference which I can spot is their license. The first C1941 does not have security license but the second C1941 has. What is the URL that has info on what IOS commands are supported on IPbase license, sec license..etc

Apr 8, 2012I am trying to load the anyconnect VPN client package v3 for windows and Mac on ASA 5510. The ASA has 256MB for RAM and Flash. After I uploaded pkg files and selected the 2 files and applied from ASDM, ASDM spots responding...
I tried to tftp the running config from ASA to my laptop to analyse but got "No memory available" message...
So it seems like the "unzip" process of the pkg files used up memory... what is really the requirement of the mini Memory/RAM on ASA for hosting anyconnect Clients for 2 OS platform? Requirement on Cisco web site is kind of vague.

My question is if I would like to upgrade the Cisco ASA5540 firmware version to 7.1 above and the FWSM firewall version to 3.1 above, any requirement on the memory size or hardware to perform the firmware upgrade activity, do I require to do some memory or hardware module upgrade activty first before the firmware upgrade ?

I have searched for this error and beside a third-party module (this is a Cisco SFP) the reason could be that newer IOS version is required. Before I'll request an IOS update to the stack with our internal team, IOS version required for this module to run properly and maybe a link to an overview to lookup such requirements in the future.

May 13, 2012I have a dozen or so SG300 switches and a few months after configuring and deploying them, I have noticed that as I'm logging back into them, I'm being told that I'm required to change my password as it has expired. The problem I have with this is that we pick a super complex password and stick with it because we have bots that telnet to the switches and pull configs and make config changes. I do NOT wish to have this enforcement turned on for these switches and I think it should be an option but neither the Admin Guide, the command line, nor the GUI seem to have any mention of this "feature". how to disable this feature?

Apr 28, 2012I've just deployed a SRP527W that I've had lying around for a while.Everything on the unit runs as well as can be expected, however I have a requirement to run split tunneling for VPN users.
Currently the only route that the VPN client receives is a default route. I noticed that on site to site VPN's and GRE tunnels you can specify secured routes, however I can't find anything that relates to the VPN remote users. This can be done on IOS without a problem but would be nice for the SRP.
I'm running the latest firmware 1.01.26, so if I haven't overlooked something would this be likely for a future release?
